"I can really leave the penthouse?" I asked Sebastian excitedly for the third time.

"Yes," Sebastian groaned, shaking my hands off his forearm.

"Can I do anything I want?" I slipped my ring off to show my pitiful, little girl appearance to aggrieve him further. 

"Lena," he snapped, grabbing my hand and shoving the ring back in place. He hummed something, which frustratingly made the ring feel like it had been fused in place. 

"What did you do?" I shook my hand, trying to shake away the strange, tingly sensation.

"Until I end the spell, that thing will stay on," he frowned, making his usually agreeable, pleasant face turn somewhat threatening. 

We were alone in the penthouse, what was he so alarmed about? 

My chest felt complex with similar emotions to that during breakfast. Thoughts raced around my head, turning it into chaos.
