The Prime Division

In the sky a giant nightingale was flying in the sky. It bathed in the light from the sun. Riding on it were three individuals in black.

"We would like to apologize once more for such inappropriate behavior," Elle said with her head lowered. She was blushing a little, shy of what had happened. Aeltern followed and bowed as well.

"No problem. I am sorry as well for this uncomfortable trip. This is a side effect of my Arcane," Aria said with a gentle smile.

The two had their eyes wide and bright. They already deduced earlier that it was because of her Arcane, but it hit differently when it came from her.

"Just how powerful is miss Aria's Arcane?" Elle whispered to Aeltern.

"It must have been trained to the extreme. Just the side effect is enough to make us dizzy after all," Aeltern said. "Another factor is, we are just too weak," Aeltern said with gloomy eyes.

Power had always been the ruler of the world. The two could not help but look at the horizon and aspire to be stronger. The situation earlier emphasized just how far behind they are in the competition.

Aeltern tightly gripped his fist and thought, 'Someday!'

"Buckle up. We are about to speed up," Aria said while the nightingale was already getting faster and faster.

'Damn!' Aeltern thought. He tightly grabbed the feathers of the nightingale to avoid falling. 'There are no buckles! Slow down! Damn!!' he screamed in his thoughts.

Elle was not doing great either. She held the feathers like she was clinging to her life, which is probably the case since she will die if she falls.

"Here we go," Aria said while calmly sitting, unfazed by force. The blitzing nightingale suddenly disappeared.

...

In a dense forest somewhere, birds are flying all over the place. Heads of giant apes were peaking over the tall trees.

"Boom!" sonic boom echoed across the forest as a giant nightingale appeared out of nowhere. The birds all fled, and the giant apes hid in the forest in fear of what came.

"Here we are," Aria said with a sweet smile.

"Blegh!" The two trainees hanged their heads to the side of the nightingale and vomited once more. 'Damn!' Aeltern thought.

'Just how many times will I vomit!? This is shameful!' Elle pondered while vomiting hard.

Aria was calmly looking at the horizon with a sweet smile, completely oblivious of the two behind her.

The nightingale slowly flew over the forest until it saw a city. Prosperous is the first word that will come to mind when one sees the city. Towering infrastructures are engraved with intricate Runes. Glowing lights and busy streets can be perceived from the avian perspective. However, the most eye-catching of them all is the floating castle with five towers, four for each corner and one in the center. The letter PD is beautifully engraved on the top part of the central tower, clearly stating that this is The Prime Division.

The two young ones were dazzled. They forgot their dizziness and stared blankly at the floating tower. Excitement filled their hearts as they longed for entry.

The nightingale, however, evaded the city as a whole. 'What!?' the two of them could not help but ask.

"Miss Aria, are we not going to the floating castle?" Elle inquired.

"No. That is just a face for The Prime Division, a bait, if you will. Oh! I forgot to make you sign a confidentiality agreement," Elle then pulled out two rectangular stones with Runes engraved on them. "Put your hands over here. This contract will prohibit you from disclosing any information regarding The Prime Division. Of course, this is optional. However, since I disclosed valuable information to you already, I am afraid that I shall pay for my mistake and rob you of your memories if you don't want to sign." Aria said with a bright smile, but this time, it sent shivers down the two trainees' spines.

'Are you really the one who is going to pay?' Aeltern thought. However, he did not have complaints since he really wanted to be a part of The Prime Division. Elle was on the same boat. It was just a confidentiality agreement, after all. It was reasonable.

"Great! Let us go to the headquarters," Aria said after the two finished the contract ritual. After evading the city, they came to a small town relatively close to the city. It did not stand up in any way since there are a lot of small towns around and under the jurisdiction of the city.

The nightingale descended just outside the city. Two guards in silver armor greeted them. "Who are you?" One of the guards asked.

Aria merely revealed an ID; then the guards allowed them to enter. The two trainees were amazed by the secrecy of The Prime Division. To spend so much money just to build a dummy building takes a lot of dedication. There is also the thought that Aria was lying, but they did not find any reason for her to do so.

Aria took them to a big mansion after making her nightingale teleport back to her Beast Space. They were greeted by servants after showing Aria's ID.

"Woah, is this the location?" Elle asked. She was mesmerized by the mansion. It was filled with pillars made of pearls and walls made of marble. It was fancy and majestic.

[No, this is another front. Be careful with what you are going to say from now on as well] Aria telepathically communicated to them. "Yes, this is where the baron of this town resides," is what she said.

The two maintained a mesmerized look. They acted perfectly, utterly unfazed by Aria's reminder on the outside. However, deep down, they were shivering, especially Elle. She had not yet reached the base, but she was already reprimanded. She wanted to cry, but it will blow up their cover.

The three of them entered the office of the baron. There, a fat man with a beard and mustache was sitting at a desk. Aria merely looked at him, then the man respectfully bowed while activating the teleportation array inside the office.

"Wear this," Aria tossed black uniforms to Aeltern and Elle while blinding light covered her. After the light faded, she was already wearing the uniform. It was a black suit; however, the cuffs and the buttons were all engraved with SC and Runes.

The eyes of the two trainees were wide open. 'These are the uniforms of the Special Corps from the CCC Alliance, CCC Military Coalition!'
