Mason has been staring blankly at the same document for the past hour and he still couldn't make out what was in it.
"Sir, have you decided on the venue you would like the luncheon to be held?" The intern who was filling in for Ava until they got a replacement asked Mason, a pen in hand and his notepad in front of him to write down what Mason tells him.
Mason missed working with Ava, he misses how she would chew on her bottom lip when they were brainstorming on an idea. How her eyes would light up when she came up with a solution.
Mason knew the intern has been talking to him for the past five minutes that he walked into his office, but Mason couldn't really place his finger on what they were supposed to be talking about. He had a lot of work to do but he couldn't seem to concentrate.
"Sir?"
Mason blinked as he tried to focus on the young boy who was sitting in front of him. "What were you saying?"
