Backlash

"That's right." Jonathan said in agreement. While the people in the game do respect Jonathan a lot it wasn't to the point that they would just let him get the cabin every time without any hate or trouble. The idea of the cabin was pure bliss and to Jonathan, it truly was pure bliss.

In addition to that, people now know that clues for the next game can be found inside the cabin giving someone an advantage. Humans would never just let someone else have an advantage without some kind of hate or backlash for it.

For example, now that Jonathan has told people that he found a clue inside the cabin if he were to go inside the cabin once more then people would ask him for the clue again and if he said he didn't have it then he would be suspected of lying. If he's suspected of lying then his image only gets worse and worse until people start actively trying to make him fail.

While nothing like this has happened yet, Jonathan was sure that if he were to cross that line then something similar would happen to him and he wasn't ready for that, "If your reasoning is that, then aren't you just making me your sheep for the slaughter?" Angela asked uncertain about how to feel about the situation.

Jonathan immediately shook his head at the accusation, "Of course not. I would rather me face something like that than you but if you were to be the one that got a hold on the cabin then people would have no problem with it since you're only a little girl and also haven't been in charge of it yet." Jonathan explained which started giving Angela an idea of how Jonathan's idea worked.

"So you want me to be the first one to cross which puts me in charge of the cabin that way there's no bad blood between anyone?" Angela asked reassuring herself that she understood everything correctly.

"That's right." Jonathan said nodding his head.

"Then how will you get inside of the cabin without any type of backlash?" Angela asked wondering an important question. This part of the question Jonathan had thought over and over about wondering if he should still let himself be a part of the cabin and whether if he was a part of it would there still be a backlash?

In the end he came to the conclusion that people would see through his plan if he were to stay a part of the cabin so he would need the help of the people he became friends with so far to still give him and show him the information that they find inside.

"I think it would be better if I just sleep inside the sleeping bags, that way there is 0 suspicion of anything." Jonathan said getting a weird look from Angela but she understood his method of thinking.

"Sounds good to me. Are you ready?" Angela said finally in agreement with the plan, understanding how it all worked. Jonathan didn't waste any time and nodded his head showing he was ready.

Like that the both of them walked forward crossing the finish line with Angela in the front and officially finishing the second game. There may have been a chance that the finish line was all a lie and that there was much more but it was soon debunked when they walked further past the finish line and entered back into the open area.

"Oh wow." Jonathan said in surprise as they arrived back on the main street of the game. From their position, they could see down the path which showed them that it was a lot longer than they had originally thought. On the main street there was another finish line that was now placed right in front of Jonathan and Angela meaning they were right behind it.

"Congratulations on finishing first!" A voice sounded behind Angela and Jonathan making them quickly spin around to see The Watcher on his normal screen giving them a thumbs up.

"Thank you, it was more luck than anything." Jonathan said chuckling while slightly bowing his thanks toward The Watcher. Jonathan wasn't dumb enough to show The Watcher any disrespect even though they were among the people that put him in the game.

Jonathan could still vividly remember what happened to Derek at the beginning of the game when he began complaining toward The Watcher. Everyone remembered that and that's also why when The Watcher asked them to do something it was followed without any kind of backtalk.

"Oh it was much more than luck, though that did have a tiny part in it as it does in everything. It was mainly your ability to think not only of yourself but of others as well that placed the both of you in that situation giving you access to the shortcut. Like I said, in the beginning, being ahead of everyone else in the race doesn't put you first and this is what I mean by that. Just because the person that will arrive momentarily arrived first on their path doesn't mean they get the cabin. Not only that but do you think they got here without pushing someone or running past people, not at all. They will have a lot of bad blood on their hands while you two will have minimal, keep up the good work. Bye for now!" The Watcher said before disappearing once more.

"He's quite interesting." Jonathan said out loud which got a nod from Angela. While Angela and Jonathan may be one of their captors The Watcher still offered good advice while at the same time being crazy and strict about their process of the game.

It all culminated into one strange person that Jonathan had yet to fully understand or grasp even though he was trying his hardest to understand. Before Jonathan thought about it too much there was someone who finally appeared within the view of both Jonathan and Angela.

"There's a person!" Angela shouted suddenly making Jonathan look in the direction of the main street.
