Estos the Cursed Holy Sword

"Still, you are a fool." Doreen said. "You think it is that easy to kill a dungeon boss?"

"I assume they are pretty hard." Joshua said. "But If I am to get stronger it is something that needs to be done. Besides I bet they give fantastic loot."

"Do you even know how dungeons work?" Doreen asked. "It appears you lack any common sense about the matter."

"Yeah, poor Joshua was always so sick, he never left the house much." Gina said. "I am happy he is doing better now."

"Okay." Doreen said.

"Doreen!" Tilly yelled. "We have sealed the tunnels! Did you ever find Joshua?!"

"In here!" Doreen yelled back. "In the bakery!"

Within a minute Tilly came into the kitchen from the back door. "Hey, are you ready to head back?" She said as she entered.

"Hey Tilly." Joshua said. "Gina, this is my half-sister."

"Oh, hi." Tilly said nervously.

"She's very shy." Joshua said. "So, all the skeletons have been stopped?"

"You killed the vast majority of them like a damned fool!" Tilly yelled. "I can't believe you would so carelessly use a cursed blade like that! Why did you even get that thing?! It was allegedly lost to time, yet here it is in your hand, and you are using it like a fool!

Estos the Cursed Holy Blade, should not just be used like that!"

"Estos?" Joshua asked. "Cursed sword?"

"Gods, did you grow up under a rock?" Tilly complained.

"Estos is one of the legendary weapons, known to cull the waves of the dead by sending out shockwaves of power every time it connects with the undead."

"Right, I know that much from using it." Joshua said.

"Right, you keep using it!" Tilly yelled. "That is why you are a fool! Estos is a cursed sword! That means its power comes at a grave cost. Cursed blades are powerful and nearly unstoppable weapons, but they require something in return. For Estos it requires life energy. It needs to slay the living to destroy the dead.

If it doesn't it will drain the life from the user, until they themselves turn to dust by its holy wrath. That is why you have a white streak in your blonde hair you fool!"

"I do?" Joshua asked.

Gina looked at his hair closely and put the white strands in her hand. "I didn't notice, but you do have some white in your beautiful blonde hair."

"That's because the sword was starting to kill you!" Tilly said. "I told you not to use it and then you ran off and started using it!"

"Wow, I have never seen Tilly so animated before." Doreen said. "What got you all worked up?"

"Well, I guess, he is my brother!" tilly said. "I don't want him to die to a cursed sword."

"Then you really should look at his arm." Doreen said, knowing it was going to set Tilly off.

"Chains?!" Tilly yelled. "You made a deal with a demon?! First you are foolish enough to use a cursed blade with no regard for your own life and then you make a deal with a demon?!"

"Apparently it was to save the miss in his arms there." Doreen said. "See the hole in her shirt right at her breast? The little lady was as dead as they come."

Tilly put her face in her palm. "You are indeed father's son." Tilly said with a deep sigh.

"Like I said, it wasn't a demon." Joshua said.

"As you claim." Doreen said. "Tilly guess what the demon wanted."

"His first-born child?" Tilly asked.

"No, you are going to love this." Doreen explained. "The demon wants him to clear the dungeon we are going to. Wants him to just kill the dungeon boss, and Joshua here didn't think anything of it."

"You mean the boss to a dungeon that has stood for a thousand years, that no one has ever even gotten halfway down?" Tilly asked. "The dungeon so horrible that we literally named it death. He just wanted the unkillable boss of that dungeon killed?"

"Exactly." Doreen said.

"Hey!" Joshua complained. "When you say it like that… It sounds bad."

"That's because it is bad." Tilly said. "Do you have a time limit on clearing the dungeon?"

"No." Joshua said. "There is no time limit. I simply have to do it and can never lose heart, the moment I do I will cease to exist."

"My family are fools." Tilly complained.

"You were going to explain how dungeons worked?" Joshua asked.

"Oh right." Doreen said. "I completely forgot with Tilly coming in."

"Oh god the cakes!" Gina yelled as she jumped up from Joshua's lap. The quick motion of her jump caused her bare breast to come out of the hole in her shirt. Since the hole had been there so long, she did not notice as she had been feeling a breeze on her chest for some time.

Joshua's eyes widened at the sight.

Doreen threw her shield at him and hit him in the head for staring.

"Why did you hit Joshua?!" Gina yelled out.

"He was being a pervert." Doreen said. "Also, you may want to change your clothing."

"My clothing?" Gina said as she looked down and saw her breast exposed to the world. Her face became as red as a cherry with embarrassment. "I-I-I am going to go change!" She yelled as she ran off upstairs where her clothing was.

"Did you have to hit me so hard?" Joshua asked, as he got up from the ground and was rubbing his head. "Make yourselves useful and help me get the cakes out of the oven."

They each grabbed a long metal rod that was designed to remove a pan from the brick oven and got to work removing the pans and placing them on the counter. The smell of freshly baked cake filled the kitchen and counteracted the overpowering smell of blood.
