Old Fe was hesitant at first. But when he saw Lucien's determined eyes he finally consented.

"Okay. Will you be alright if we leave you here and then meet you right after the show? You can wait for us right here to come and get you. "

Lucien's eyes brightened. "Yes. Thank you, kind sir. "

Old Fe patted his head before turning his back. When Lucien gaze at the little children, he saw that the little protagonist is not with them. He looked around. Where did he go?

At the far corner of his left, he saw Aiden with the Mage Specialist.

Lucien was surprised.

Was it that plot of being recruited to the organization already? No, it couldn't be. The screening will be next month for Demon Slayer Warriors. While the Mages are in two months' time. Even if the Mage Specialist holds a respectable position in the Demon Slayer base, it does not mean that he can take advantage of it. After all, rules are everything in the Demon Slayer base.

Lucien remembered he spent three hours ridiculing the probationary Magic Apprentice and Swordsman Disciple because of their stiff behavior. They literally walk like wooden puppets, with eyes bulging twice their normal size.

Lucien wanted to come over and tell Aiden, but he thought better of it. This matter about him investigating the Alchemist must not be known by anyone. Besides, there's a high chance the little protagonist will come with him. Considering his past clingy behavior, there's a high chance that will happen. Lucien can only sigh.

He does need to worry. The little protagonist is in safe hands. Lucien finally turned around and walked inside the library after he waved goodbye to Old Fe.

He greeted the old gray-haired man with a low voice. He intended to show a bright smile to gain the old man's trust, but his face muscles are difficult to stretch. He can only ridicule himself in silence. There's nothing he could do about it.

Luciane kindly inquired. "Hello, kind Sir. May I know which section contains the history of Mages and their basic responsibilities in the Demon Slayer organization?"

The gray haired old man kindly smiled at him.

"Are you interested in becoming a mage?"

"Yes." Lucien nodded.

"I see. We do not have complete records of Mages for public access. Hence, you may not find the specific information you want to know. "

Lucien, of course, has long since been aware of this. The library is normally restricted to outsiders. Most of the time, the library opens to the public when the screening and recruiting are two to three months away. The library contains records opened only to the members of the organization. Half of the restricted section contains information about demons and various ways to subdue them.

Lucien can proudly say he's an expert on that. At the end of season 2, he can already list the types of horned demons and their corresponding strengths, effective ways for Mages to subdue them, and Warrior's techniques to kill them. Heh. He's not a number one fan for nothing.

Yet, when it comes to Alchemist, he knows nothing. He only knew Alchemists were catalysts. They were the second makers of exorcism tools. They are not the same as smiths who craft weapons and tools. But both were able to gather light magic and gain powers because of the Alchemist's work of magic.

How they did that, Lucien must found out.

Lucien marched in the direction indicated by the old man and scanned the left corner of the library. He immediately saw the sign Demon Slayer, and when he counted the shelves, his eyebrow raised. Four shelves? Seriously?

After reading, he found out that the majority of books are limited to the history of the Demon Slayers. How they were formed, who was the founder, and the founding legendary heroes that gave birth to the organization today.

The shelves were divided into two sections. One section is for the Warriors, the other section is for the Mages. Lucien did not waste any more time and took ten books from the Mage section. He read the contents and pursed his lips. Seeing that the ten books he skimmed through had fifty percent contents of boring information about the organization's formation, he began to look for keywords about Alchemist.

Luckily, he found one. And since it was newly published this year, the information inside can be considered valid and the situation described as is.

As he read, he found out that all tools and weapons were refined by a proficient alchemist before being given to the organization. And at the current time, there is only one Alchemist living in Haven City.

The fuck?!

Lucien was completely taken aback. What's going on? How come there's only one? In the Slaying the Demons, the information given by the little protagonist's Master is that there are twenty proficient alchemists living in the Haven City. But right now, in the current records, it says there's only one.

It was a name he did not recognize. He took another book from the shelves and read the contents. It was a handwritten book that detailed all of the historical events that occurred in Haven City.

In the year 217, it says that there used to be two hundred proficient alchemists studying in the Alchemy Academe, right beside the Mage Academe. But it was attacked by the demons who sneaked inside the Haven City.

The more Lucien read, the more his brows furrowed. This portion was not mentioned in the Slaying the Demons. But then again, the Alchemists were introduced in the second season of the said anime.

It was at that time when the little protagonist was gifted with exorcism tools because they found out he could control light magic. By then, Aiden had stayed and trained in the Warrior Academe for ten years, where he lost half of his friends from the orphanage.

Lucien returns the book and tried to write down the name of the only Alchemist still alive in Haven City. But there was no name written. Even the picture is black with age, address, height, and weight answered with '???'

Lucien slumped his head against the table. How the fuck will he find this Alchemist then?
