Chapter 49 - Forbidden

The dinner went as usual where everyone shared their day with Celine pleased to see her children enjoying their time. Caelum decided to be the one to wash the dishes but his mother insisted on helping him which he didn't mind. It's been a while since they've been alone together. 

"So mom, any plans this weekend?"

"Well, your aunt invited me to join her yoga class. She's it would help me recover faster."

"Oh that sounds great! Maybe I can join you two since I'm free on Saturday. I was planning on spending time with Liliena, Annie and Mary but heard they were also going to be busy."

"I don't know, Caelum, perhaps ask your aunt first."

"Alright! I also want to say good night before I head to bed."

"You're a really thoughtful young man. I've already said this but whoever woman you're with would certainly be lucky."

"Hah! I guess you consider yourself lucky mom."

"Ara~ when did you learn to speak like that?"

"Hehehe you'd be surprised."

Celine giggled, enjoying her time talking with Caelum yet unable to shake the feeling that she was slowly falling into an abyss when around him. She stops talking for a moment in daze looking at her son who did the same where their eyes intently lock with each other. The silence was deafening and time seemed to slow down for the two.

Her heart was pounding seeing her son's charming face and imposing presence that could only hope to be helplessly pinned while being kissed by him even without the parameter could clearly see her desire for him. The impure passion and forbidden touch only inches away where Celine unconsciously moves closer. 

'I-I…'

[ Man the fuck up, Darling!! It's your chance!!! ]

Caelum can't exactly force himself yet push through seemingly breaking shackles holding him back and lean forward where their lips clash before wrapping his arms around Celine who was so drunk by her emotion that it didn't register and only let instinct take its course. Their tongue clashes while he grips his hands into her mother's ass who moans from the touch that causes her to return back to normal.  

Celine lips departed and stared at her son's shocked at what he did. It made her heart in turmoil that she had made out with her son even if his adopted son made her feel ashamed for being the responsible adult. 

".... I-I'm sorry, Caelum! I…I have to go!"

"Wait, Mom!"

[ Let her be, it would give her time to think about what to feel about you. She'll come around soon enough. ]

Caelum called out trying to stop his mother but took Cereza's advice knowing that it was better to give her time until she was able to tell her how she truly feels. He sighed in defeat, blankly staring at the ceiling thinking about his action. 

He shook his head and decided to put it aside and head to bed when he spotted his aunt still working on her computer. Caelum knew that things would be awkward but still decided to ask his aunt about joining their yoga class. 

Caelum closer unnoticed by his aunt and was shock to see her searching up P*rn. It was clear that she was sexually fustrated after all the stressed that her work. He decided to get her attention when she rushed to close the tab.

"C-Caelum, I thought you were already asleep? Sorry you had to see that, those ads got to me."

"Yeah, maybe I'll try to add some security and AdBlock next time."

"Oh you never told me you know things about computers? Is it another of those odd jobs?"

"Yeah, I had 4 months experience at that one company that went bankrupt which was annoying since the place had decent salary." 

"I'm more impressed the more I hear about your working experience! At this point you have more jobs than I did when I was young!"

"Hehehe it was nothing. Anyway, I'm here to say good night and ask about the yoga class that Mom mentioned."

"You want to join us?"

"Of course, I don't have much to do on Saturday besides I'm still waiting for class partners on what time and where we'll do our project."

"That would be fantastic if you join us! I can show a move or two!"

"Hehehe now I'm looking forward to learning from you! Anyway, good night!"

The two headed to bed when Caelum bumped into Dalia who was frantic and excited then her eyes shimmer when she found him.

"Great you're here! This is now to redeem yourself and help me with something."

"What is it that you're in rush?"

"I found it! I found people who have a gem of doom and I'm planning on setting a trap to get it. This is important, which is why I need your help!"

"Alright! Just don't label me a pervert to other people!"

"Hehehe I'll think about it!"

Dalia runs off to her room leaving Caelum annoyed then lightly chuckle satisfied that he is able to have the chance to help her. Caelum hopped into the game where he quickly found himself in a dungeon-like castle where dimly lit torches hang from the side.

"Oh you're finally awake."

"So many places, this place is really claustrophobic."

"Suck it up! Let's take a seat and discuss what we should do."

Caelum nodded and sat down on a nearby chair where they formulated their trap which was a simple sneak attack where Dalia would distract the owner of the gem before he attempted to knock him out. She seemed adamant on getting the item that Caelum remained quiet about acquiring one earlier that week. 

Few moments later, he just used a simple illusion to hide his presence while Dalia confronted the guy who seemed to be a capable magic user in terms of eternum standard. He blankly uses acupuncture to paralyze him, surprising Dalia who prepares to fight him.

"Ah? Did you cast a spell on him?"

"No, I just paralyze him by applying a bit of pressure to a precise area. Now let's ask him about the gem." 

"Right, tell me the details later. Hey where the gem!"

"I won't tell you bitch!"

"Don't make things difficult for yourself. Just tell me where the gem then we'll let you off."

"Alright I'll tell you, it's…..way up your ass!!"

"You fuck!!"

"Calm down let me handle this, Dalia. Just do me a favor and turn around."

She was confused but obliged, walking out leaving Caelum alone with the guy who was still glaring at his back then shuddering in fear when he turned with his golden eyes shimmering. Caelum towers over him, flaring his killing intent and frustration lifting the guy by the neck. In the end, he tortured the guy for a bit for insulting Dalia and use hypnosis to gain the information. 

He tried to find Dalia but didn't find her, then spread his senses and found that she was near the entrance and felt another presence. It was rather powerful, forcing him to use [ Space Shundō ] to bend the space and found him about to stab Dalia. 

Caelum summoned his Twin Goddess Sword to parry the attack and arrive to see Dalia armor being heavily damaged. 

"Are you alright, Dalia?"

"Besides my armor and minor injury, yeah I'm alright…fuck….I didn't expect to meet the top player of Eternum."

"So his Thanatos?"

He looked at his opponent who recovered from the attack which made Caelum whistle quite impressed that he managed to stand after his attack. Of course, Caelum barely tried but his opponent caught his interest. 

"You…die."

The person appeared to be in a samurai suit of armor even though his face was hidden by a mask with several blades piercing his body. Caelum could see his hardcore player and somehow see that he has burning motivation in playing the game. He took a sword before leaping toward Caelum who parried the attack yet noticed the blade was something else. 

"Hyas!? We should escape now! He has one of the three weapons of atlas!"

Caelum read about the weapon that was capable of cutting through anything and slicing it like a hot knife in butter. He could see that the weapon does bear some benefits but it can't compare to his blade. 

Dalia watched as the two fought, shocked to see Caleum was able to keep up the best player knowing that he barely spent a month playing. She guessed that it was the effect of the weapon that he had gained and was mesmerized by his skill. 

"You're pretty good…"

Thanatos didn't say anything and merely used magic casting multiple dark orbs that blasted toward them but Caelum smirked, summoning an ice shard cancelling his attack. The fight went on causing the place to be heavily damaged where pieces of ice shattered through the place while Dalia was speechless upon seeing his cousin standing with few wounds and cuts. 

It was because Caelum deliberately let him get wounded to not show his true power to Dalia. Thanatos, noticing how he would lose against him, decided to perform a tactical retreat. 

"Next time, I'll kill you."

"Yeah we'll continue our dance soon enough." 

Caelum let him escape while turning toward Dalia who rushed to hug him much to his surprise. 

"I'm glad you're alright! I thought we were goners when he showed up but…. thankfully you saved me."

"Hehehe it wasn't a problem so long you stop calling me a pervert."

"Fine but you have to tell me how you've gotten so strong in such a short amount of time!?"

"Well, I got lucky and triggered a hidden quest that gave me an extra boost in level and skill. "

"What's the quest about?"

"I'll tell you later, it's already late and we should get to sleep for tomorrow."

"Oh right, I still have to do my daily jogging."

They walked out of the portal and Caelum woke once again in his room. The next day, Caelum did his daily jog with Dalia telling her about the fake hidden quest which removed her suspicion. At breakfast, he saw his mother who welcomed him like normal yet her emotion was still in turmoil. 

She hid it quite well even after seeing him all sweaty that intensified her desire for him. Caelum went to take a quick shower before dressing himself in his uniform and returned to the kitchen where Penelope was there with his mother. They sat to eat breakfast waiting for the others to arrive. 

No one noticed and everyone headed to school where it went usual without any eventful change besides the fact they had computer class and Luna joined them. 

"Luna! It's nice to see you here. How are you?"

"I'm fine thank you and it's also nice to see you. I was glad that we could meet on this subject."

Me too. Hey, wanna join us in the cafeteria later?"

"Sure, if you don't mind that is."

"I wouldn't ask if I did?"

Caelum unconsciously patted her head and surprised Luna feeling a comforting warmth that made her unable to do anything and merely wishing for his hand to remain on her head. He then saw her expression and realized his mistake.

"Ah sorry Luna! I didn't mean to do it!"

"I-It's alright…I was just a bit surprised because only my dad does that."

"Okay…"

"W-Well I was wondering if you want to play with me in eternum? At my house if you don't mind?"

"Sure, when do you want to play?"

"Hmmm…Tonight?"

"Alright, I don't have things to do anyway"

He nodded before the teacher came in with a grim expression and told everyone that the ass-kisser of Axel had died which was strange but ignored it. Caelum was just disappointed that he didn't use his [ Karmic Inversion ] on him. Before long, Luna and Caelum were headed to the cafeteria when Axel showed up.
