There was a huge rock. It was stained with blood.
"Senior, how can I soothe your resentment?" Chu Jie asked.
"You will die with me," said a voice from the rock.
Chu Jie shook her head.
"You're a hypocrite! Why are you asking me if you can't do it?"
"I want to see if there are other options. I can't do something in blind faith," said Chu Jie.
"Why? To satisfy your vain sense of justice?"
Chu Jie was silent for a moment. "I don't necessarily represent justice."
The red rock was stunned. "The aura on your body tells me that you're a righteous lackey of the immortal sects."
Chu Jie shook her head again. "I just go with the flow. I do things that might prove beneficial to the majority of the people. It might look like righteousness, but I just stand with the things that benefit most people."
"Is that so?" asked the voice mockingly. "I guess many people love you for that?"
