Ch.22 Calm down, you calm the f down.

I was woken up by the rays of sunlight. I got up and rubbed my eyes and yawned. I did my morning routine of checking my body and it seems like my body has stopped growing. I was 6'6" and have been that height for quite a while now.

I stretched and put on my shoes and went on a run.As I was running, I was thinking since today I will be a little free, I may be able to spend some more time with Ashley. She would be happy… maybe I should pick up a new toy for her?

I reached school and as I got out of my car. I could feel that the atmosphere of the school had kinda gone down the drain. Everyone looked tense. Is it because of the attack or because of the PTA? As I was walking towards the school I heard a call from Allison.

I turned around to see her. She walked to me and I smiled and said, "Good morning."

She smiled and said, "Morning." We were walking into the school. I looked at her locket and she saw that and then put it under her t-shirt.

I sighed and asked, "So how are you feeling?"

She looked at me and said, "I am fine, why?"

I shook my head and said, "I mean like are you scared of today?"

She looked at me and her heart beated a little faster and she looked at me and she said, "Kinda…"

I raised my eyebrows and said, "Didn't know you were doing bad… what subject is it?" We reached our lockers.

She looked at me and she sighed in relief and said, "Oh, you meant the PTA…"

I looked at her and said, "What else are you worried about?"

She shook her head and said, "Ah, nothing." She then opened her locker and from it birthday balloons popped out along with a card. She frantically tried to hide it.

I looked at her and said, "Ah, Happy Birthday. I would have gotten you a present… if I had known."

She put the balloons inside and closed the locker and said, "This is why I was worried."

I was confused and asked, "Why?"

She mumbled, "I am 17."

I looked at her and said, "Oh, okay, now I get it…"

She sighed and said, "How did she know?"

I exhaled and said, "Well, it's Lydia, she had her ways…" I then looked at her and she looked stressed and I said, "Don't be so sad, you aren't the only one who is 17."

She looked at me and her eyes widened and she said, "Wait you too? How?"

I shrugged my shoulders and said, "After the incident with my dad, I kinda lost focus… I had to repeat a year."

She looked at me and said, "Thank you."

I shrugged my shoulders and said, "It's alright." I then saw that Scott was coming and I said, "Here comes Scott… gotta go bye."

She turned around and said, "Why?"

I said, "Because I am late and it's chemistry." I walked away from them and made my way to Chemistry.

As I entered the class, I saw Erica and I sat next to her, I said, "Good morning Erica."

She said, "Good morning."

I looked at her and she was wearing a baggy t-shirt and jeans and had a pony tail. I asked her, "You saw the news?"

She looked at me and said, "Oh, yeah… I would say that it was weird but I think his heart was in the right place."

I was confused and asked, "What?"

She looked at me and said, "Oh, you are talking about those two… yeah I saw it…" She mumbled, "So close."

I turned my head forward and said, "Okay… " I then asked her "What was the news though?"

She smiled and said, "A guy from Florida kidnapped a scientist to make his dog immortal."

I nodded and said, "Understandable."

The teacher came and class started but Scott didn't come into the class. I tried not to think about that.

The rest of the day went normal, I had lunch with Erica although I couldn't find Scott or Allison, I guess they bunked school today. Which is not a sound decision at all. To bunk school today of all days. This is not going to end well for them.

I was in the woods walking towards the cave, today was optional practice because of the PTA. I had already informed mom that I will be hanging out with some friends and that she could go to the PTA on her own.

I reached the cave and Ashley heard my footsteps and ran over to me. She tackled me and started to lick my face. I greeted her and opened my bag, relieving the new toy I had bought her. It was a fetch stick but for aggressive chewers.

I took the stick in my hand and she looked at the stick and smelled it and wagged her tail. I showed it to her and threw it far. She barked and went to fetch it.

I put my bag down and put my jacket on the branch. I played with Ashley for like an hour. She was very happy with her new toy.

I sat down underneath the tree and I got my sandwich out of my bag and I got her food out as well. We both sat and ate. I was also reading Thomas's journal looking for any mention of Selune.

"Today a particular group of people have come to our town. They claimed that they were a family but they had an odd scent to them. They called themselves Cooper's."

I thought about it and I was pretty sure they were werewolves or something. I read some more.

"Anya is wary of them. Which pretty much confirmed they were werewolves. But why are they here."

"It seems like they also know about me, Anya and my children. They have asked for a meeting. So that we may discuss this situation in our hands.

I contemplated whether or not I should accept this? But I can't just attack them. I think I should hear them out first."

"They came to our house for a meeting. The head of the house is Nathaniel Cooper and his wife Sophie Cooper. They told us that they are natural born werewolves except for Harry who they had taken in.

They didn't turn him in but he knew about them. They asked for a place to stay and they had promised that they wouldn't cause any problems.

They just wanted a place to settle down. I was unsure of them but Anya assured me that it would be fine. She said that we are stronger in numbers.

I decided to agree to their request. If they cause any problems. I can just take care of them. I wanted to ask them why they decided to settle here. But I brushed it off."

I smacked my lips, I wasn't sure about this decision that Thomas made. To just agree like this. But the alternative could be a fight between them which is something that no one would want.

I looked at the time and it was around 7:00. The PTA should start around now. I should leave. I got up and packed up my bag. I petted Ashley and made my way home.

I reached home and I decided to order a pizza. I wasn't in a mood to cook. I went upstairs and started doing my homework and after like 15 min the pizza came.

I went downstairs to get it. I put one pie on the kitchen table and took the other one in my room. I ate as I did my homework simultaneously.

After like about an hour and half. I was done. I relaxed and took out the journal again. At this point it has become a novel to me. I wonder if I can monetize it? I shook my head and I started to read.

"It has been 2 years since the Cooper's have started to live with us. And it has been mostly peaceful until the hunters arrived in our town."

I was right, I knew it. I was shocked when I read the name of the group of people that arrived. "The Belmont." I looked at it and I read it again and I said, "Huh… so mom comes from a family of supernatural hunters."

Someone rang the doorbell. I closed the journal and went to get the door and it was mom. She was wearing a black all in one dress.

She suddenly hugged me and kissed my forehead and said, "Oh I am so proud of you. You are doing so well. Ah, I am so happy."

She asked, "What's wrong?"

I just shook my head and said, "I was wondering if we can do this inside the house."

She laughed and came inside the house.
