The crew left to investigate before the sun had even come up. Awake as well, Kerry slipped out of bed and got dressed. Testing her weight on the injured ankle, she was relieved to have only a residual aching twinge. That meant she could investigate tomorrow without a hindrance. She hated being left behind to sit around like a useless lackey. She made her way to the bathroom and looked at the cut on her temple, which also appeared to be healing nicely. Since she wouldn't be on camera today, she only applied a minor amount of mascara and a touch of gloss before stepping out.
Her cell rang from where she'd left it on the nightstand. She grabbed it and frowned when she saw Elise's name on the screen. If their producer was calling, especially at this hour, there was a problem.
"Kerry Baker, I am not a happy woman. Before I get into that, how's your ankle?"
She tried to adjust to Elise's rapidly changing mood swings and failed. "Good. I can walk on it."
