New Place

"I'm the only one leaving?" She asked, eyes widening in shock.

"Yes." 

Iris squinted her eyes on Calixto with his curt reply. When he asked her to pack her things, she didn't expect to be the only one moving out of the mansion. She was Calixto's food supply, if she would leave, what would Calixto eat.

She waited for Calixto to change his reply but he did not. 

"Elmer, bring up all of Iris' stuff in the car." 

Iris lowered her gaze and bit her lower lips to stop herself from sobbing. She never felt so unwanted in her life. 

It was not her first time feeling left out because Minerva and Theo were never subtle when it came to showing their disinterest toward her, thus, she never expected to feel this gut-wrenching pain when Calixto expressed his disinterest.
