Superior Human

Gabriel woke up next morning with a pile of bodies on him, he loved this way too much.

He got up and outside Rick was waiting with Merle "What's wrong?" asked Gabriel.

Merle snickered "It seems someone has fun everynight"

Gabriel laughed and let Rick ask his question "Jane woke up" he said.

Gabriel nodded and went to Kane's cell. Kane was strapped on a bed, once he saw Gabriel approached him, he got nervous "H-hey man, I am really thankful for helping me... but... you are not going to kill me, right?"

Gabriel chuckled and shook his head, he motioned to Merle to open the cell. "No, though I will kill you if you are a problem to me and my family, understood?"

Kane gulped down and nodded

"Now then, how do you feel?" asked Gabriel.

"Now that you mention it, I feel stronger... better. My lung breathing problem is gone, my wounds... my wounds? where are my wounds?" Kane started freaking out.

"Calm down, Kane. I will answer your questions but you need to answer mine, okay?"

Kane calmed down and nodded and let Gabriel continue.

"First is. Why did you come at me?"

Kane took a deep breathe "Honestly, I didn't know what was really happening until I was in the chopper. I just came along because they said it was some huge supply run or something" he stopped and Gabriel nodded, Kane continued a little nervous "But I promise you, I won't kill people, I don't kill people. I don't do that"

"You shot at me" said Gabriel.

"Because you were coming at me and you know even with morals, I'm nlt going to stand there and just let you kill me. I have to put up a fight"

"I see" Gabriel tapped his chin making Kane even more nervous.

"Hey, I promise I won't do anything"

Gabriel ignored him and asked again "Second question... Do you have family, a settlement?"

Kane looked troubled, he didn't want to say anything like that, Gabriel noticed his hesitation "Kane, if I wanted you dead, I would have let Alpha kill you, she likes the crunchy sound people make"

Rick and Merle looked at Gabriel weird and Gabriel just shrugged.

Kane gulped remembering the sickening crunching sound when the wolves ate his comrades, Kane nodded "We have a base of operation, 200 miles from here. It is better secure than this hospital, I'll tell you that much"

Rick looked at Gabriel for a second trying to see Gabriel's reaction on a better place than the prison.

"Sure it can be secure but does it have fields and houses or places where people can stay at?"

Kane shook his head "No, while we do have rooms for people, we don't have a field to plant anything. We mostly just go out on runs and that's it, our supplies were going low so that is why I had decided to follow captain and helped them. We don't have many people, 20 at most right now since we lost 18 people yesterday"

Rick lowered his head in disappointment, he hoped there'll be a better place than a prison but lately the prison has been their safest spot Gabriel palmed his back friendly.

"Well, my last question is" Gabriel looked at Rick and Rick nodded "How many walkers, have you kill?"

*Deep Breathing*

"Uuhhh shit... I did Not know I was this strong" wheezed out Kane lying on the ground.

Gabriel had called him to spar and Kane was surprise that he was stronger, faster and more agile. Gabriel had explained to him what he had given him. It shocked and disgusted him that he had to drink blood but he was grateful to Gabriel. He gave him another chance with his family and with this power he felt invincible... until Gabriel smack him on the ground.

"Damn! How strong are you anyways?" asked Kane at Gabriel.

Gabriel shrugged "Don't know. Sure I'm stronger than you though" he laughed.

Kane scoffed "Whatever. Listen, Gabriel... I know this may sound selfish and maybe even dumb but can I bring my family here? I want my wife and daughter to be safe and to not go hungry... I'll help you in any way I can" Kane glance at Gabriel to see his reaction, he was expecting some kind of disgust or denial from him but Gabriel had a poker face all the time, he wasn't even sweating during the spar.

"Sure, but I'll put you and your wife to work, once your daughter is big enough, she'll help around too. This isn't charity what we have here, Kane" Said Gabriel.

"Sure, I expected as much... Thank you... can... you...umm... supply me with a car? that coold van with a bed inside seems okay" asked Kane.

Kane saw an object coming towards him, it was too fast to avoid, the object got stuck in the wall, he looked and saw a knife an inch away from him, he sweated "Or one of those old truck will work too" he squaked out.

"Never touch my van, I do stuffs in there" said Gabriel.

"What kind of stuffs? the only thing good would be sleeping with that huge be-... ohh, I see" Kane understood and nodded.

Gabriel was satisfied with the results his blood had on Kane, he was basically an enhanced human. Kane can heal gunshot wounds in 24 hours, enhanced senses and enhanced physical abilities.

He wanted to give his blood to his girls but decided against it, at least for now. The results on Kane are just recent, he decided to wait and see if something changes so he decided to keep him close, and having his family as emotional support will help him too.

Gabriel wanted to ask where was the drop off once they capture him but Kane didn't know since he came thinking it was a regular scout out. He wanted to smack Kane for some reason.

So he did.

"Ooww... what the hell kid. Why did you do that for?"

Gabriel shrugged "Just felt like it"

Kane groaned and just stomped away but then came back "Ermm... can I at least get another vehicle?" asked Kane.

"Sure, but I'm coming with" said Gabriel.

Kane rose an eyebrow "Excuse me?"

"You heard me. I can trust you and maybe your wife and kid but I can't trust the rest"

"Come on Gabriel! you can trust them"

"Yeaah... no"

Kane groaned and stomped away again.

"Where are you going?" asked Gabriel.

"To find a functional truck" said Kane sarcastically.

"We are taking the chopper" grinned Gabriel making Kane go nod his head "Oh yeah" said Kane grinning back.

....

"You are leaving again?" asked Maggie worried.

Gabriel seeing her worried face felt pain in his heart "I'm sorry, but... you know what? I'll take you out once I come back" Gabriel grabbed her hands and rubbed them softly.

Maggie smile and nodded "You better, me and Patricia are getting too used to the prison and I know you won't let us out unles it's with you, the other girls sometime go out but we can't because we are pregnant" she said kissing him, he promised her again.

Gabriel saw two heads popping out of a wall, Sophia and Enid are both staring.

*Stare*

Gabriel laughed and let Maggie go, he walked towards both girls.

"What are you two doing?"

"Nothing" said Enid looking down, she didn't dare look at his eyes, Gabriel eyes made her feel nervous.

"and you?" Gabriel directed his gaze to Sophia.

"ha ha... we are... nothing Gabe!!" she giggled and pulled Enid with her.

Gabriel just chuckled and turned to leave but Yanet was behind him.

"What's wrong?" he asked hugging her.

"I want to come with" she said firmly.

"You sure?" he asked glancing at Maggie who just shrugged and smiled.

She nodded "Yes"

"Very well then"

Yanet took out a small backpack from behind a chair "I was ready" said Yanet smiling.

Gabriel smiled back and after saying goodbye to the others, he set out with Kane as copilot amd Yanet in the back.

"Where is your place again?" asked Gabriel making Kane facepalm.

"It's in Virginia"

"Well shit" said Gabriel knowing Virginia is close to Washington.
