Chapter CLX - The First Trial

Marcus looked around the dead end in the cave he was located within. The walls were a deep, dark grey with small patches of moss growing on large rocks in close vicinity and among various locations along the walls.

The torches were attached to the walls, and no matter how hard he attempted to remove them, they remained. Curious about the conditions of the first trial, he asked Iris.

'What must I do to clear the first trial?' He thought.

'You must clear every monster within the trials. Each trial will have increasingly difficult monsters to deal with or more to take out.' Iris replied.

'I must defeat them barehanded..?' He asked.

'That is not necessarily correct; you do have the wooden katana that was provided by the sect. Please note that this is not a standard weapon and similarly to the equipment you received from the seamstress, it will increase in power compared to the trials completed.' Iris answered.
