"Okay, you promised!" Emily turned around in his embrace and hugged him back with a beautiful smile on her face.

"Umm… Mom, I have something I want to talk to you and Dad about" Alex said after a while of hugging Emily.

"What is it? Did you really bring home a daughter-in-law?" Emily pulled away slightly and looked at Alex with a mischievous glint in her eyes.

"No, it's not that. It's something more important" Alex said with a dry cough.

'I already got you two daughter-in-laws' he added inwardly but that was not the topic right now so he did not bring it up.

"Oh? Something more important than a daughter-in-law? What could that be?" Emily looked at Alex suspiciously.

"How about you go get some rest and we will talk about it later in the evening after dinner?" Alex suggested and Emily nodded obediently, she would not argue with her Alex!
