Ash and Snow (ONE-SHOT)

Cling! Clang! The clashing of swords. "FIRE!!" Who's yelling? "Pursue the enemy!! Don't let her escape alive!!" I opened my eyes to see a woman holding my tight as we were running away from something. "Don't worry baby, your mother won't let them touch you" I'm confused, who's chasing us. I take a peek behind her and to my horror, I saw a unit of soldiers chasing us with nothing but murderous intent. One of the men yelled out to fire shots, after that my vision was filled with the blood of my Mother… The last thing I could see was her hair as white as snow as my vision blacked out. Then I wake from my slumber.

Time: 8:00am

Usual dream, but I must continue with this day and pay no mind to it. I first get up from bed, jump in the shower, I then get dressed, reload my emergency shotgun, clean up the inn, then I sound the alarm.

Time: 10:00am

All of the guests come down in a rush to start their day and get something to eat. Then the 3rd shift workers come in to eat then sleep. First shift workers come on in and get themselves some food before they head for work. Then comes the losers of life that just want to drink and eat and get more in debt. Honestly I don't judge but can they stop flopping on my floors? Then…wait huh??

Time: 12:30pm

A Large man recond about 7 feet, with blue spiky hair and beard, dressed in luxury clothing, and he carried a large sword on his back. Next to him was a girl about 6 feet, had long red hair and she wore black armor and carried a black claymore. They both seemed annoyed and frustrated about something. I really didn't care what it was but I did remember hearing about these two from other businesses around the area.

They have been rumored to have short tempers and have the power to easily destroy your business and reputation. They're names were William and Isabella Carter, they are father and daughter and are a part of a pretty popular adventures guild. I really didn't want to serve them and I prefer to kick them out but hey a paying customer is a customer of mine.

"Hey servant boy! We want to order!" said William. I went over quickly and bowed to them, responding "Yes sir William, what would you like to order?" They laughed at first but then said "At least some manners that don't match up with this junk of an inn." I frowned for a split second but controlled my expression as I didn't want to give them a reason to mess with me. William continued saying "Well to cut to the chase, we want your best drinks and food on the double and make it quick!!" I raised my head replying "Right Away sir" After taking a few other orders, I quickly made haste to the kitchen and started to cook at my highest speeds.

Time: 1:15pm

Also wow where is my introduction? My name is Liam. That's it no surname as I am no royale and I have no other relatives or friends. I have white hair, blue eyes, and pale white skin like snow. Honestly I am the only one with white hair in this village. Yet no one knows my origin or have seen anyone that can be related to me. Also today was supposed to be a celebratory day as we have the royal family of this nation visiting the village. I guess that's why these pricks are visiting. Well either way I need to work cause I gotta pay off this restaurant if I ever want to leave.

At that moment, I finish the food and begin to put it on trays as I make my way to serve all of the customers. One by one I do elegantly and with finesse, till I then serve the Carter family. I give them their food and my best drink, the Alvados. Everything was going okay at first until then I heard Isabella Carter say the unthinkable. "Hey dad can I have the servant boy, he seems cute and can be a good toy to play with." William chuckles and replies "Sure honey, whatever makes you happy" These disgusting cretins, how dare they!

Before they could even get the chance I quickly grabbed my precious belongings and bolted through the backdoor. Though to no avail as there they stood with smirks on their faces. Isabella spoke first "Oh come on my little play thing, don't make me have to cut your limbs off for you to obey me" This sadistic bitch! Then William spoke "Just come along now and don't make this difficult or it will be painful"

I looked on with more disdain for the passing second, I then smirked which confused them. I remember seeing a certain move done in rugby once, I showed hesitation in moving to the right and as I drew them in, I then quickly bolted left! They stumbled but only for a second, but that was all I needed as I mimicked lightning with my speed. I kept looking back to see that they were on my tail and then suddenly I crashed into solid substance. As I looked up with tears forming in my eyes from the pain I was horrified to find out it was the king… King Lucas Vincent Sr the fifth.

Now I was screwed, but f*ck it. I'm dead either way so I quickly got up and continued to run but was quickly held down by the surrounding knights. The Carter's arrived and almost laughed when they saw my predicament. I looked on with pure malice and anger. Why me? Why Now? How did this happen? Was it my fault? No. It was the Carter's. As the king looked down on me like an ant in the soil, he muttered out "Son? Is that really you?" But why should I be bothered as my vision filled red and I felt a rise of power surging through me and then…

THEN!

Then…

Time: 00:00?

Nothing… Everything around me became silent. I looked up to see that everyone was frozen, I easily moved out of the guards grasp and got up on my feet. "It is you my boy" I turned around to see that the king can still move and that's when he said it- "I finally found you my son"

Who is Lucas really? How can he stop time? How can the King Move through it? What is the representation of Ash?
