Carry

"Carlisle!" I exclaimed, my arms wrapping around me so that I wouldn't slip to the ground. I was startled by the sudden action, my cheeks becoming bright pink as the maids and butlers looked at me in awe. 

I knew the rumors surrounding me would completely blow up out of proportion. First I had seduced Richter and now, Carlisle was acting like we were in love. My shoes had been absolutely abandoned inside of the carriage. I supposed there was no helping it. I would just have to play along. I toyed with his buttons, "Aren't I heavy?" I asked. 

"I have slain dragons, Irene. This is nothing." 

"Aren't you supposed to say no, instead?" I asked, a pout forming on my lips.
