Chapter 43

“Thank you, Alpha for explaining this to me. I know I had no right to an explanation. You’ve been very kind.” Colin peeked at Marc from under his eyelashes and Marc nodded his head in approval of the way Colin handled Armand with the note of worry and the right amount of deference.

Colin heard someone—it had to be Giles—knock on the door. When Armand called, “Enter,” Giles came in with six huge cups of hot cocoa with whipped cream and cookies on each saucer. Hot cocoa seemed to be the drink of choice in Northern Minnesota.

“Luncheon will be served in thirty minutes. I hope this snack will do until we can organize a meal. The she-wolves didn’t expect Alpha Thierry until tomorrow and had nothing prepared.”

“This will do until luncheon,” Armand said, dismissing Giles.
