Chapter 84 - The Begining of The Rebirth

The filler is almost done, there are only about 2-4 episodes of it left then the next arc begins.

------------------

Work began immediately after the speech, with the most powerful nobles of Larra and the higher-ranking military in one room, it was the perfect time to explain a few things.

I turned away from the cheering crowd with a smile on my face. The nobles while not cheering were clapping and I could see impressed looks from them , especially Richard and Susana. Just as I'd taken a chance with them, they'd taken a chance with me and they were now seeing that their risk and choice was definitely paying off. With a single speech, I'd cleared away the false rumors of myself, given the people hope, and most importantly, given myself the time I needed.

The changes would begin today, but it would take a week or two to even a month before many of the changes became noticeable and the impact was felt. Of course, many smaller changes would be put into place immediately.

"Now that my speech is over, I have another smaller speech for you," I said, raising a hand for silence. "As I said before at the first meeting and just now, there will be changes taking place, many of which will be put in motion today. For the most part, many of them will not affect you immediately and even when they do, it will not be in a bad way, well at least not to those who are decent people and follow our laws, both new and old. I will not tolerate abuses of power, let me make that very clear. I will be making things better for everyone."

I could tell from the looks some of the nobles had that they weren't too pleased with that, but it was more annoyance than true anger or frustration.

"In fact, if you play your cards right and prove to me that you're truly noble in nature and good, then I promise you by the end of this month you will be considerably richer and more powerful. I have many plans in motion and many ideas to make this kingdom richer and more powerful."

That had a greater effect. Power and wealth were great motivators, and for now, I needed the nobles. I would slowly change the way nobility worked in Larra to a more modern version. Right now the noble families were linked to the law far too closely and certain rules just didn't sit right with me. I wanted it to be more like powerful and influential families that were loyal to the king but still had to adhere to the rules like everyone else, not groups of nobles who abused power due to the laws working in their favor constantly.

"That is pretty much all I have to say for now. I will at a later date be holding another meeting, hopefully with good news and results. I wish you all a pleasant day. For our kingdom and our people."

I nodded and smiled before leaving the room to the sound of applause. Lilah walked next to me alongside Asara and her lieutenants but my other summons like me were going to be getting to work immediately, which would not only help the kingdom but get me levels and more summons, which would course my power.

"That was a marvelous speech your majesty," Asara said. Lilah and her lieutenants nodded in agreement and I couldn't help but smile.

"Thank you. Your earlier words definitely helped and seeing the riders in the sky was a good sight. I take it before today you didn't really show yourselves much?"

"No," She replied. "We were rarely allowed out and when we were it was usually either to fight or for special occasions. The freedom you've given us has been amazing and a blessing. The riders have really enjoyed flying and those who are with your summons are really happy from what I hear. We finally get to do something for this kingdom, and at the request of our king and lord."

"That's good to hear," I said, stopping and turning to her as we reached an intersection. "I will be in my study if you need me. Also... I don't mind if any of the riders or you want to visit. I can use breaks from time to time."

She raised an eyebrow at my words, but a smile lit her face. "I shall make sure to tell them. Expect quite a few to take you up on that offer, including me and my lieutenants, though I will try to limit it. You do need to get your work done after all."

"Thank you," I said, proud that I hadn't blushed when I'd said the words.

I turned and began walking towards my study. I had a lot of paperwork to do. Changes to production, consumption, new plans for public buildings for education, health and bathing, and a ton more. I was determined to make things work, and for that, I needed more money, which was where one of my moneymaking ideas came into play.

While this world had magic and kor, and powerful technology, not everyone could afford it and the common and poorer people still used simple tools, tools that I could make better versions of. I had a ton of useless trivia in my head, a lot of which was how to make things.

The common people in the lesser kingdom made up most of the population, so making products for them, which would be made in bulk, would hopefully make me a lot of money. It was for that idea and some others that I had set up meetings which certain people in the city and had spent yesterday night going over what the empire did have and what it didn't have.

"Time to get to work."
