Salen! Salen!! Salen!!!

And why wouldn't I want that?

I wanted to ask, but stopped myself from doing so. This is like a dream come true.

Something I was hoping for, got handed over to me in a platter of gold? This is too good to be true.

It seems too unreal to be real.

"Are you taking the offer, or not?" Mar raised a brow at me.

Of course, I am.

"If it's not too much of a burden to you," I answer in a smooth voice, one that can never betray how I truly feel.

"Then, it's settled. You're my new —"

"Are we doing the research or not?" Salen interrupts, "I need to send back the results today. Can that be possible?"

"It is possible." Mar dialed a number, "I need the reports right now." He disconnects the call, before turning to Salen, "one of my workers will have it brought up before the elapsed of a minute or so time."

"That's wonderful!" Salen smiled, but I can tell the smile didn't reach his face at all. It's a halfway kind of smile.

"I'm glad you think so. Our customers' opinions means so much to us."

And now, I can tell how sarcastic Mar was.

"With that one done, can we —"?

"I will be back. I need to visit the restroom."

"You can make use of the one in my office." He points to his restroom.

I felt Sale's eyebrows rise to an impossible length. No one else I know can do that.

Undoubtedly, he's thinking back to the day he asked Mar to allow him to make use of his restroom, but Mar asked him to go to the public one near his office.

"Thanks about that, but I'll make use of the public one near your office." I rush out of the door before the boss can think of something to say.

I tried the door of the one near Mar's office, but it was locked.

"Goodness me." I sigh as I race towards the second public restroom in this place.

Let it be Open.

I prayed as I ran towards the restroom that happened to be at a far distance from Mar's office.

I rush into the restroom and proceeded to empty my poor bladder.

Through urinating, I turn to wash my hands in the sink.

"I finally got you alone," Salen smirked when he walked into the restroom. He locked the door behind him as he smirked like a lunatic.

"What are you doing?" I look at the door in alarm as I tried to process everything changes happening, without progress.

"What does it look like I'm doing, love?" He smirked as he advanced closer.

" Stay where you are, don't come closer to me." I raise a palm as I take steps back.

" And you think I'll obey you?" He laughed like a maniac. "I'm sorry to burst your bubbles, love. I'm going nowhere, neither am I going to allow you to leave, until I'm through with you."

"What do you want?" Frowning at him, I fold my arms as I level a glare at him.

"I only want to show you never to mess with me." He smirked brightly, "No one messes with me, and goes scot-free."

I shiver at how the words, and the menacing expression on his face.

"What did I do?" I take a step back as I prayed for a miracle or anything of that sort to happen.

I don't believe in things like this, but in a situation like this, I can't help but wish for it.

"I gave you a simple instruction, Osy. Stay. Away. From. Mar." Those are the specific information I gave you, but you didn't take it as anything."

"But I did stay away from him." I swallow as my eyes dart around, searching for an escape, or anything!

But I found nothing.

Nothing to save me from the advancing male.

"You stayed away from him?" Salen placed a hand under his jaw as he thought about my words.

"Of course I did. I stayed away from him, but as my boss, I can't keep escaping him."

" I see. What about quitting, then? He asked you to be his PA, and you accepted without a second thought. It seems you want to avoid leaving this place."

He walked closer to me and pushed me with enough force that can be used to push a vehicle.

The force from the push caused me to hit my head on the wall.

"Ouch," I place my hand on my forehead as the pain seared through me. It felt as if my head was about to split into two.

The pain I felt at the collision was eye-blinding.

It felt as if my head was going to crack into two, and that thought scared me more than anything else has.

"This is what you deserve. You deserve a place beneath me. You're not worthy of being at the top. You're not worthy of being in the same place with —"

"Osy? Are you in here?" Mar asked from outside.

" Help!" my eyes seems to shout, but my mouth couldn't say it out as I wanted. The dark expression on Salen's face caused me to shut up.

Discreetly, he unlocked the door and rushed toward me.

Expecting a hit or something like that, I was shocked when he enveloped me with a hug.

" Oh my God!" He shrieked dramatically.

"Are you alright?" He lightly touched my hair. "Are you okay?"

I stare at him in surprise.

His change of action is suspicious to begin with.

"I'm —"

"What happened?" The door to the restroom opened, and Mar walked in. An angry expression was on his face as he gave me a once over. "Osy, are you alright?"

I opened my mouth to talk, and once again, Salen takes the lead.

He turned his misty eyes towards Mar,

"Who knows what would have happened had I not been here to help Osy?" He sniffed while giving me the side-eye. His eyes seem to threaten me as he cried further.
