Chapter 92: Requiem

(Morax: POV)

Sitting in one of the many private rooms of my familias' home I waited.

A week ago I was released from the hospital.

Then shortly after me Kaguya and Filvis followed.

The former of which got a prosthetic arm from the Dian Cecht familia before doing so.

And unlike the Miach familia the Astraea familia will be able to pay it off in no time since they regularly dive into the dungeon.

Which all of them are prepared to do again.

They've grieved for Asta and Celty, as have the rest of us.

Astrea's girls even went back into the dungeon to retrieve their friends body, and made the exact same grave stone for them on floor 18 as Ryuu did in canon when she was the only survivor.

I guess no matter what I do some things will never change.

As I contemplated this fact the door to the room opened and Alise entered.

Followed by Rogue and Kaguya, who was displaying her new silver arm without a hint of shame.

She doesn't cover it at all.

Not only that but...

She and Rogue have been super lovey-dovey. I'm talking honeymoon phase type of lovey-dovey.

Which means something good definitely must've happened between the two.

Good for them.

As Alise took a seat in one of the chairs the lovebirds took a seat on one of the remaining couches and started snuggling and kissing like others weren't in the room at all.

Seeing this I put a wry smile on my face, while Alise did the same.

We just simply tried to ignore them.

Unless they start having sex that is.

But they won't.

Probably.

I hope.

Ignoring the kissing sounds in the room I tapped my foot on the ground, hoping everyone else apart of this meeting would arrive soon.

My wishes were answered as Lyra, Astraea, Athena, Leonmitchelli, and Ryuu arrived.

As they did so my gaze landed squarely on Ryuu.

Because she has cut her hair exactly like it was during canon.

Except it's still blonde and not green.

"Ryuu, you cut your hair." I said.

"Yes." She stated. Coming to sit down next to me. "Is there something wrong?"

"No. It's just unexpected is all." I said.

"Am, Millhiore and the other girls told me it's good for a woman to change her hair every once and a while. So I wanted to try this out." She explained. "Does it look bad?"

"No, it looks great." I said.

"Thank you." Ryuu responded. Putting a happy smile on her face.

A moment after she did so everyone's attention was drawn to Athena as she clapped loudly.

"Ok people." She said. "Time to finally discuss the plan to rid the filth known as Evilus from this world. It is a little something I have named operation: Purge."

'Yes. Time to purge.' I thought.

"As you all know Astraea and I met with Ouranous to discuss the Juggernaut matter." Athena said.

We all nodded. Since our two goddesses told us the details of said meeting right after it happened.

"Well during that little chat I got permission from Ouranous to put this plan of my mine into motion." Athena explained.

Getting a huge grin on her face like a child on their birthday as she did so.

I don't know if this should scare me or not.

"The plan itself goes as follows. A team will go around slaughtering any and all members of Evilus, along with their associates using any method possible to do so. Murder, traps, poison, assassination. I mean anything goes." Athena told us. "The team will leave no stone unturned and won't allow anyone to escape. Even if they are not adventurers."

Oh.

So we're going to do what Ryuu did in canon. Only for us Ouranous has actually sanctioned our actions.

Nice.

"Lady Athena, what are you saying?" Ryuu questioned. A frown on her face. "That's not justice at all."

"Not necessarily Ryuu." Athena retorted. "Sometimes justice needs to to be dark and without remorse. That way innocence won't keep suffering."

"Yes Ryuu. What lady Athena is saying is true." Kaguya spoke up. "Tell me, what do you all know of my family the Gojouno?"

"Not much." I said.

The others nodding their heads in agreement.

Even Rogue.

"Well I won't go into too many details, but my clan for generations has been in charge of handling dark jobs in the Far East for Amaterasu. We do exactly what lady Athena is describing." She explained.

"Even so you left your family, right?" Leonmitchelli questioned.

Kaguya gave a curt nod.

"I did. Because some things they did I couldn't stand. Not to mention they were too uptight and stuffy. So one day I simply decided I had enough and left." She explained. "But that doesn't mean I hated all my family stood for."

"I...I see." Ryuu said. "Still, doing this is just a bit..." She trailed off, getting a sour expression on her face.

"Ryuu, I understand your hesitation." Athena said. "What we are about to undertake is not for the faint of heart or weak-willed. But I know you are neither which is exactly why I selected you for the team. As well as to be their moral compass and nay-sayer."

"Nay-sayer?" Ryuu questioned.

"Simply put Ryuu, if the others on the team go too far you are to report it to us or put a stop to it yourself." Astraea explained.

"Understood." Ryuu spoke. "I will do it then."

Both goddesses smiled at Ryuu answer.

"Alright, so other than Ryuu the members of this team will be Kaguya, Lyra, Rogue, and Morax. No one else." Athena explained. "The reason Alise and Leonmitchelli are here today is simply for them to know the plan in its entirety and help us make any last minute adjustments if needed. We will tell everyone only basic details and no more. One more thing. Other than Ouranous the only ones who shall know all the information spoken in this room will be Ganesha and his captain Shakti."

Makes sense.

We can't really execute a plan like this to the fullest if the Ganesha familia is hounding our ass.

And considering Ganesha kept the existence of the Xenos a secret I know he can keep this one as well.

Anyway.

Once most of the formal stuff was out of the way we began discussing the finer details of operation: Purge.

Including when and how our little dark justice team would act.

We even picked a team name.

Eventually the meeting ended.

Once it did I put a feral smile on my face.

Since its finally time to send Evilus to the depths of hell.

(3rd Person: POV)

In a warehouse in one of Orario's many abandon districts, a group of Evilus members were inside planning their next action of violence.

While some sat around a table discussing matters others were lazing around drinking or eating.

Basically they were all going on without a care in the world.

However that came to an end seconds later.

Without any warning the windows of the warehouse were shattered.

The moment this happened all Evilus members put their guards up and grabbed their weapons.

Preparing for a fight.

But no one came to attack them.

Instead the objects that broke the warehouse windows appeared in front of the Evilus members eyes.

Revealing themselves to be small black round balls.

"What the hell?" An Evilus member spoke.

But that's all he could do.

For in the next second all of the black round balls inside of the warehouse exploded in the same instant.

This killed a great number of Evilus members and heavily wounded several others.

As many of them screamed in pain and agony the door to the warehouse slowly but surely opened.

When it did so five figures dressed in all black entered.

The one in the lead had two swords strapped across their back.

Two katana blades to be specific.

Unsheathing their katana the lead figure of group that entered the warehouse began slicing and stabbing any Evilus members that remained alive without any hesitation.

There companions joining in the killing as well.

Before long the warehouse was a bloodbath.

Looking up the last remaining Evilus member had utter fear on his face at the black figures surrounding his person.

"Who are you?!" He shouted at them.

"Your fucking reckoning." The one with the katana blades said.

"My name is Deadpool." He spoke. "And these people beside me are my good friends. Together we make up the suicide squad." He explained. "Since we will risk our lives to make sure you and your bastard friends are wiped from this world."

After deadpool finished speaking he took his katana blades and cut off the man's head from his body.

He and his companions then left the warehouse.

Leaving no trace of themselves.

As if they were never there to begin with.

Shortly after the appearance of Deadpool and the Suicide Squad Orario was thrown into chaos.

Everyone was afraid of the sudden appearance of such a violent and mysterious group.

But eventually they started to calm down when they noticed Deadpool and his group were only targeting Evilus and their associates.

Various gods and even some high-ranking adventurers even noticed how the guild and the Ganesha familia didn't really even look that hard into the Suicide's Squads actions.

They soon realized, it meant someone high-ranking was sanctioning their actions.

Most likely Ouranous himself.

But without any solid proof no one spoke up.

Instead everyone followed Deadpool and his companions lead and started to take down Evilus in full force.

This broke the organization.

Bringing the Dark Era of Orario to a close.

Standing on the roof of her familia home in the dead of night, Athena wore a smile on her face. Moving her hands she acted as if she was a conductor of a musical symphony.

"Can you hear it Orario, this is our Requiem for you." She said.

Operation: Purge was being executed flawlessly.

Morax and the dark justice team gave Athena all information they managed to acquire and she created full-proof plans from it.

No matter the situation, everything went according to her plans.

The goddess of war was holding nothing back.

Making sure Evilus was ground into nothing but dust in the wind.

Showcasing just why you should never ever piss Athena off.
