Birthday Gift

Getting back from their stroll, all of them agreed not to mention what had happened anymore as it was unnecessary. After treating Daniel's arm, the day goes on without a hitch. After dinner, since everyone was pretty tired from their flight, at 7 pm it was decided that they would call it day also because there will be a simple gathering tomorrow for Tian Zi's birthday.

Meanwhile, in his room, Fyre rampaged his bag and looked for something. When he had found it, he smiled before taking a deep breath. He finished taking shower and now he planned to visit Tian Zi's room briefly and just hand him the thing in his hand. So without much delay, he momentarily looked at himself in the mirror to fix himself before finally going on his way. Tian Zi's room was just next to his so after stepping out of his room, he was already at the Alpha's door.

Fyre took another deep breath to gather courage before finally knocking on the door which was to his surprise, immediately opened with the Alpha still wet from his shower and his lower half only covered with a towel. Seeing it, Fyre gulped in shock before he quickly turned around and blushed as if he had not seen all of it already.

"Why are you acting shy now? It's not like you haven't seen it already," Tian Zi chuckled and without a second thought grabbed Fyre before pulling him inside his room. In the first place, he wanted to share a room with him but the Omega insisted that they shouldn't. He was planning to visit Fyre's room after showering but the Omega beat him out of it.

"Ack... W-wait, I only came to return something," Fyre stuttered, struggling out of the Alpha's arms. It is true that he had already seen Tian Zi naked but seeing him coming out of the shower, looking sexy and all, how can he not blush? It is the fact that he has already seen it all that he's shy in the first place.

"Return something?"

"Yeah... this..." Fyre hastily replied, slightly pushing the Alpha before swiftly putting a small jewelry box on top of his palms. Tian Zi was puzzled at first because the box was obviously for rings but Fyre was still wearing a ring. He wondered what was the Omega going to return to him when he didn't remember giving it to Fyre.

"Auntie and Uncle gave this to me on the plane... they said it was their engagement ring your father got from your grandparents and now wanted to pass it down to us. She thought we would be the perfect couple to inherit it to continue the legacy... I wanted to decline it but I couldn't so I was hoping you could give it back to them," Fyre explained, as Tian Zi opened the box and two beautiful antique-looking rings came into view. The striking red rubies and the translucent diamonds around them were very captivating but for Fyre, it's too much.

Meanwhile, looking at it, Tian Zi couldn't help but smile knowing that the rings meant that his parents were really wishing both him and Fyre well. Of course, these rings were familiar to Tian Zi and indeed his mother told him long ago that he would give the rings when he planned to marry but at that time he didn't plan to and so he forgot about it until now that Fyre had shown it to him.

"Actually, it's too much for me but I couldn't say it because I know they mean well for us," Fyre added. This was the first time he had seen a ruby in person and considering that it wasn't a small size, he could just imagine how expensive the rings were but Mo Chendong and Laura insisted it to him that he couldn't say no.

"No, this is perfect. I know we already have one but these rings are symbolic so I want us to wear these instead," Tian Zi suggested while holding Fyre's hand before pulling him deeper into his room.

"W-What? But these are very expensive. I can't wear them... can't you just tell your mom we're okay with our current rings," Fyre immediately expressed. He has yet to inquire how much Tian Zi spent on the ring he gave him and now they're wearing the ones given to them which was obviously even more expensive?! He's afraid he won't be able to walk around with such a thing on his fingers.

"It's fine. No one would know how much this cost anyway. Furthermore, Mother would get upset if I returned this so it's better for us to wear it," Tian Zi explained, quickly exchanging the ring Fyre already had on his finger with the new ones before humming in satisfaction.

"B-But still, this is really too much," Fyre insisted as he chewed on his lips. It does look beautiful but it's too eye-catching. He thought Tian Zi would agree with him in returning the rings but now he had to wear it.

"Just think of it as fake, no one would know," Tian Zi insisted as well and Fyre just gape at the Alpha's words. Of course, he can't think of it as fake and it's not like people would think it was fake if they find out he's engaged to Tian Zi. How can a Mo give him a fake ring? He could just imagine people making a fuss over a ring.

"Are you crazy!? It's not that simple," Fyre continued to say to which Tian Zi only brushed off and wore his pair as well.

"Stop overthinking about it and look, doesn't this look good on our hands? Besides, Mother and Father would really become upset if we return this," Tian Zi replied casually before slowly leading Fyre to his bed as he hugged him from the back. And since he was still half-naked, his cool yet warm skin touched Fyre making him blush again as he kept his words unsaid since it is true that he didn't want to upset the elders that's why he was forced to accept it when it was given to him.

"But..." Fyre tried to retaliate but Tian Zi covered his mouth before looking directly at his eyes, smiling in assurance.

"Accept it, okay?"

"Arg! Fine!" Fyre agreed in the end with a pout before removing the Alpha's hand from him and turning around to face him. "Now, how about you wear clothes already? You're being too comfortable only wearing a towel," Fyre added, making Tian Zi chuckled and thought of something. Without replying, he stared at his lover mischievously and suddenly dropped the tower on the floor showing off what was hidden. Fyre screamed in surprise before covering his eyes, cursing at the Alpha which only made Tian Zi laugh even more.

"Relax. I'm already wearing my underwear. What were you thinking? Of course, I won't be touching you today even if I wanted to," Tian Zi assured, picking the towel while still chuckling. Fyre was already tired from their 19 hours flight and he has not forgotten that Fyre still needed to recover from the last time and not to mention they already did it the night before they left. He wouldn't want to put too much stress on his lover's body or else doctor Feng would scold him for being so irresponsible.

"Bastard, you're so fucking annoying! Why in the hell are you even covering yourself with a towel if you have something on!?" Fyre roared, his face steaming hot as he glared at the Alpha after finally seeing that he was indeed already wearing his boxers.

"What? You want me to answer the door with only my underwear on? I didn't know it was you knocking," Tian Zi continued to teased while this time walking towards his closet to find himself a comfortable clothes to sleep on. The red tint on Fyre's cheeks stubbornly remained as he watched the Alpha slip in his clothes and for some reason, with a body like his, he looked so freaking hot that Fyre couldn't help but blush further. He already knew the Alpha was hella attractive but every damn time, the view did not fail to amuse him.

"Tch. Whatever, nevermind. I'm going back," Fyre decided to escape since he could never win an argument against the Alpha. Fyre hastily turned around and proceeded to walk towards the door when all of a sudden Tian Zi quickly caught his arm before hugging him from the back again. Fyre groaned in frustration before he struggled out but no matter how hard he tried, of course the Alpha was stronger so he couldn't get away.

"I thought you said we weren't going to do it?"

"I did. Sex isn't the only reason I wanted to stay in the same room as you, you know. Do you think that's the only thing running in my mind?" Tian Zi conveyed softly before he suddenly lifted Fyre in the midst of his hug and slowly walked towards the bed. Well... it is true that he wanted to have his way with Fyre as often as he wanted but he knew how to control himself so he'll settle for a hug and kiss.

"Ack! Let me go. I don't want to sleep in the same bed as you. Why do you think I wanted a separate room?!" Fyre struggled before he was thrown into the bed with his front facing it. He quickly turned around and glared at his lover.

"Wow, that really hurt my feelings. You were clinging to me not long ago though. Why all of a sudden you didn't want to anymore?" Tian Zi pouted, acting hurt but he could guess why Fyre didn't want to stay with him in the same room. He confirmed it the last time they did it but although it was risky, he really wanted to start his birthday with Fyre beside him when he wakes up in the morning tomorrow.

"I don't care what you say. I won't be sleeping with you tonight." Fyre firmly declared, avoiding the Alpha's puppy face because for sure he wouldn't be able to resist it and eventually turn into a different person again. Tian Zi's natural Alpha pheromones are too strong for him, combined with his feeling for the Alpha, he always finds himself falling into a triggered heat which will then turn him into a somewhat different person. He became very needy and shameless and so he could not bear to shame himself any further. It would have been okay if he just forgets about it but he doesn't and he remembers it all.

While Tian Zi finds it amusing, for him, it was embarrassing.

"But it's my birthday tomorrow. Can't you forgive me this one time? You always ask me what I want for my birthday so now I want to be with you when I wake up in the morning. I wanted that as my birthday gift this time," Tian Zi conveyed, acting all helpless. Meanwhile, being reminded of the reason why they were in Male in the first place, Fyre halted his movement and contemplated. Unlike the previous years where the Alpha would ask him to bake him his favorite pastries, this time he couldn't because they're in Male and he didn't know if he would be able to bake at the Villa's kitchen. He completely forgot about this fact. If he can't bake for the Alpha this time, then what is he supposed to give to someone who already has everything?

Fyre looked at Tian Zi still contemplating what to say but in the end, he gave in, sighing.

"Dammit! Fine! Only this one time," Fyre yelled in embarrassment and as if he won the grand prize, the Alpha grinned widely before he too climbed on the bed and later pulled Fyre to lay beside him.
