They were right in the middle of the biggest horde of the Flesh-Eating Monsters they had ever seen.
They were trapped inside the march of the gigantic horde. But, all the monsters were passing by, totally ignoring them.
They were scared but they had hope in their minds that if they stay silent, they would live.
That's why everyone was trying their best to stay as silent as possible.
It was going to be a small amount of time and the monsters would leave them alone.
They just had to stay as calm and silent as they could.
But..
Makie couldn't go on with the plan. She was heavily breathing and looked stressed as hell. Sweat was dripping down from all over her face. Her heartbeat was constantly rising. She had gone into panic mode.
Raiden saw that coming just by looking at her face. He could tell what was going around in her mind. It was nothing but all the shits that went up inside the school during the School Massacre.
Those acts had a big impact on Makie and she could not forget all that so easily.
After seeing the whole big horde of the monsters she couldn't help but relive the horrific scenes of the school.
She was terrified and helpless against the upcoming monsters on her way.
It was not going to take much longer before she would react to one of the monsters. And, when she does that, it would be a death certificate for her and the rest of the group.
Raiden got tensed up just thinking about that happening. He knew he had to do something to divert her attention from the thoughts of the school.
He checked around him and found out no monster was really close to him. He raised his hand and started waving at Makie.
Except for Makie, everyone else standing behind Raiden, got their attention diverted to him real quick.
Everyone was scared and worried. They were standing in the middle of the march of the monsters and Raiden was just waving in their direction, which looked damn weird to them.
They were confused by his action but he didn't stop waving. He just focused on Makie and kept on waving in the hopes of getting the tiniest bit of her attention.
The rest of the group noticed that Raiden was not waving aimlessly but rather he was so focused on it. And, they could tell who his focus was once they looked at the focus themselves.
They found out in which state Makie was in. They couldn't help but get even more worried after seeing Makie like that. It felt like she was about to freak out.
Raiden was trying his best to get a hold of the situation. He just needed to grab her attention.
He kept on waving at her but Makie had her head straight and wasn't looking anywhere else.
The monsters kept on coming and passing so close to Makie, even colliding with her while moving. But, she didn't give any shit about any of them. She was lost in her thoughts about everything that went into the school.
Raiden's desperate struggle of getting her attention didn't stop. He was going in at it without stopping. The rest of the group was terrified at that moment. Scared of all of their struggles going down the drain. Scared of the upcoming monsters.
Makie was fixated on what was coming from ahead. Her eyes were open but she wasn't seeing the view of her upfront. She was basically reliving the School Massacre that went down, where she lost Takeshi and Chido.
And, then.
Tears rolled down her cheeks.
She immediately turned her head toward Raiden.
Raiden stopped waving as soon as Makie turned her head to face Raiden.
The big horde of monsters was running all over between them but Makie didn't lose sight of Raiden a single time.
They were staring down at each other's eyes and tears kept on flowing down Makie's cheeks.
Raiden knew it was bad news. He had to do something in order to divert Makie's attention from her thoughts.
The rest were super scared seeing Makie cry, they couldn't tell what would happen next.
But, Raiden had finally succeeded in getting her attention and he wasn't gonna let it go in vain.
He started murmuring out words from his mouth but he kept the sound in and only let his lips take the form of those words.
'Don't worry!' He tried to interpret those words through lipsing.
'I'm here! So, do not worry!'
'Everything…. Is going to be…. All.. Right!'
He interpreted those words as slowly as possible so Makie could understand them.
Makie was still crying but wasn't making any noises. She just kept on looking at Raiden as he tried to interpret things for her.
The horde was almost past them at that point. There were just a few monsters left to make their way past the group and they all sincerely waited for the remaining bunch to pass through.
Makie's meltdown was still going on but she didn't look as panicked as she was before.
Raiden was still trying his best to make her remain in her cool.
She didn't move neither she made any noise. But, at the end of the horde passing through, she opened her mouth and made out a word by moving her lips.
She wanted to say something and that only to Raiden.
She sent her message through lipsing but Raiden couldn't get a good look at it as a monster came between their sight as she interpreted those words. The monster passed by and what remained was complete silence.
After giving that message Makie started crying even more vigorously.
All the monsters had gone passed them. They survived the big horde of monsters.
Toshi was closest to Makie so he took one step toward her without making any noise and placed his hand on her shoulder to give her comfort.
She looked toward Toshi, still crying. But, someone by her side made her calm down a little bit.
Raiden tried to approach Makie too but as soon he was about to make his move. He caught a glimpse of a shadow standing behind the turn, from where all the monsters had come by.
He knew it was a monster who was about to come out so he stopped his moments. The sun was setting down so the shadow was enlarged.
The shadow started moving and kept on getting bigger time by time.
Everyone didn't worry about it that much as it looked like it was just a single monster.
But, their worry hit the maximum spot as soon as that monster showed its face.
It was an old friend of theirs.
Covered in blood all over the place, Takeshi stood right in front of them.
