Fifty-nine

I sat on my bed for a moment, feeling numb and betrayed. I decided to concentrate and then went to my mind. It was a place where I could escape from reality and talk to my little me.

"Hi Eloise," Yellow greeted me cheerfully.

I ignored her and walked past the other . I went to see Yumi in the back door.

"Well, she's strange today," Orange commented.

"I think it must be because of what happened today. It must be really hard for her," Red said sympathetically.

"There you are then," Yumi said coldly. She was chained to a wall, but she didn't seem to mind.

"In the end, you were right. Jade was cheating on me. And I really thought she loved me. When all along, she was just playing with my feelings," I said bitterly. I felt a surge of hatred for Jade.

I released Yumi from the chains that were keeping her to the wall. I had an idea, a desperate and foolish one.

"Please, take my place. And I will take yours," I begged her.

"What are you talking about, Eloise? I can't do that," Yumi said, surprised by my request.

"Of course you can. I'd rather stay here, so no one can hurt me. And I can still see what's going on. You can have my body, my life, my freedom. Maybe you can make something better out of it," I said, hoping she would agree.

Yumi looked at me with a sly smile. She saw an opportunity, and she took it.

"Fine. But don't blame me for what I do with your body. And don't expect me to give it back anytime soon," she said, as we switched places.

I felt a jolt of pain, and then everything went dark. I was trapped in my mind, while Yumi took control of my body. Her eyes turned purple, a sign of her dominance.

She looked at herself in the mirror, admiring my pretty face and muscular body.

"She's done a pretty good job of maintaining that body. I feel like it's going to be a pleasure to be around. So, it's time to take a shower and then I'll go out for a bit," she said to herself, as she headed to the bathroom.

She took a shower, then she got dressed and thought about a few things. She had a plan, a wicked and cruel one.

"I'm really interested in this Ella. She was Eloise's only friend in high school and her first kiss."

Pov Yumi

After 10 minutes of doing nothing,I decided it was time to go out for a while. I had been cooped up in my room for too long. I came out of the room and started walking around the building, hoping to find something interesting. As I turned a corner, I bumped into Nana, the girl I had met earlier.

"Oh, you're the girl from earlier," she said, looking me up and down.

"Yes, and why do you care?" I asked, annoyed by her tone.

"You look different from before," she said, narrowing her eyes.

"Think what you like, but could you please tell me where Ella's room is?" I asked, trying to change the subject.

"Why would I tell you that? I don't even know what you're going to do to her," she said, sounding a bit on edge.

"Well, you shouldn't be upset. I haven't done anything to you, so if you could just tell me where Ella's room is, that would be great," I said, keeping my voice calm.

Nana didn't seem to appreciate my politeness. She came over to try and start a fight and tried to throw a punch at me. I dodged it easily. She was no match for me.

"I would advise you to calm down if you want me to take care of you," I said, feeling a surge of dark energy inside me. I could see Nana's face turn pale as she sensed my powerful black aura. She fell to the ground, trembling with fear.

"Hey, look. I spoke nicely to you, so if you want me to use the hard way, I won't hesitate. Tell me, do you value your life?" I asked, leaning over her. Nana didn't answer. She was stunned. I grabbed her by the collar and lifted her up.

"Answer me, I said," I demanded, looking into her eyes. I was about to hit her, but suddenly someone came along.

"What's going on here?" a voice asked. I turned to see Kenji. He looked surprised and concerned.

"Don't worry, nothing is going on. I just asked your friend where Ella's room is, but she didn't answer me. Do you know where it is?" I asked, dropping Nana to the floor.

"Yes, of course. Her room is in the corridor at the end, on the left," Kenji said, pointing the direction.

"Thank you, finally someone useful," I said, walking away. I left Kenji and Nana behind. I heard Kenji ask Nana what was wrong with her, and Nana say that I was really scary and that she thought I was going to kill her. I didn't care. I had more important things to do.

I knocked on Ella's door and waited for an answer. Then Ella came to open the door. She smiled when she saw me.

"Hey, can I come in?" I asked.

"Yes, of course," she said, beckoning me in. I entered her room and noticed that she had just got out of the shower. She was only wearing a towel.

"You just got out of the shower," I said, stating the obvious.

"Yes, as you can see," she said, giggling. She didn't seem to mind my presence. I took the time to look at her room and noticed that she had already started to decorate it. There were posters with the ten strongest people in the guard close to the queen and the king. I recognized some of them.

"You always dream of joining the strongest," I said, admiring her ambition.

"Of course, it's still my dream. And I'm sure you still want to be a captain," she said, looking at me with admiration.

"Yes, I do. And I'll do my best to be one," I said, feeling a spark of determination.

"Tell me, why did you come to my room?" she asked, curious.

"I wanted to ask you if you wanted to go out together, since we haven't seen each other in a really long time," I said, hoping she would agree.

"That's a great idea, let's go. You can still go out, I'll be there. Just wait until I finish drying my hair and getting dressed, and then I'll be there," she said, excited.

"Okay, I'll wait for you outside," I said, heading to the door.

I went out of the room and waited for Ella. As I was standing there, I saw Jade, my 'girlfriend', approach me. She looked annoyed.

"Finally, I find you, Eloise. I've been looking for you since earlier. I really feel like you are avoiding me," she said, accusing me.

"Oh, sorry. I didn't think I meant that much to you. But I have other things to do, and I'll talk to you when I get back," I said, trying to brush her off.

"What could be more important than being with your girlfriend?" she asked, sounding hurt.

I didn't answer. I was thinking about what had happened between us. She had cheated on me with another girl, and I had found out. I was angry and hurt, but I didn't know how to end things with her. I wanted to end this in the harsh way.

"What are you thinking about?" she asked, trying to read my mind.

I was about to say something, but then I saw Ella arrive. She walked towards me, smiling.

"Let's go, Eloise," she said, grabbing my hand.

Jade saw her and frowned.

"Who is she, Eloise?" she asked, jealous.

I looked at Jade, then at Ella. I felt a surge of emotion it was starting to be fun.
