•True Desire

I still remember that day... the day my Grandma died.

×-×-×

"And I was like what the f*ck?!"

Right after hearing those words the young man sitting infront of the tablet screen started laughing. With two earphones in his ears and the volume bar already at limit he watched the Utube video.

"Your mum"

The young man couldn't stop laughing at the man talking in the video. While he laughed at the man's words his heart pained , it was quite ironic.

"I didn't ask you have s*x with mom and give birth to me..."

"You..."

"Why are you two even fighting..."

While he still wore his earphones the loud noise around him couldn't be stopped by those 2 mere buds.

"Bis..."

"Bishop Krev..."

His eyes fluttered.

"Bishop Krev , come on wake up."

The bright yellow light woke Krev up , his head was down on the bar's counter. Infront of him were few bottles of liquor , the one to shake his body and wake him up was none other than Krev's 'partner' , Gray.

"Finally awake?"

Taking a sip of the bottle infront of him Gray continued ,

"Hah , Bishop Krev it was supposed to be the other way. I was supposed to get wasted and you were supposed to help me home..."

While Gray continued talking some noises could be heard in the background.

"Yeah that's Nick for sure , look at his hair. That's definitely Nick."

"I'm telling you that's not Nick."

"Shut up , I'll go talk with that a**hole."

In the group of Deacons and Priests 2 guys argued over a person named Nick.

"Hey hey hey , if he's a big-"

The furious man didn't listen and walked up behind Krev , Gray was somehow able to raise Krev's head.

"Kourt , can you get something to sober our Bishop here."

The waitress standing infront of them nodded and started making another drink to sober Krev up.

"Come on Bishop Krev , you should up your game. Is only one bottle enough to make you sleep?"

Krev was still not completely woke which was why he didn't say anything and continued staring at the empty bottle of beer infront of him.

"And here I-"

'Bam!'

Suddenly Krev's head was smashed into black glassy counter , a hand could be seen holding his head down on the counter. The glass around his head slowly started cracking.

Applying more force the man further buried his face into the counter , the man bent over near Krev's ear and said ,

"You f*cking a**hole , gimme my 100$ right now or I'll-"

'Bam!'

This time it wasn't Krev's head , instead it was the head of man standing behind Krev. Within a second the floor was covered with blood , with no force being applied on his head Krev raised his head and said ,

"That should do it , I'm sober now."

He didn't realise that his face was covered in blood with few pieces of glass stabbed in his face.

"Let's go , Gray."

'Aargh'

The sound of someone screaming in pain reached Krev's ears which made look behind. It was Gray who put the man in such agony , with one of his foot on his head he kept pressing his skull into the ground

"You ruined our drinking session."

With a sigh filled with disappointment he said ,

"Hey Kourt , this guys will pay for our drinks."

Krev wasn't surprised by the display of power Gray showed , he already knew how good Gray's combat skills were. The way he controlled the power he put in his kick showed how skilled he was.

"You can let go of him."

Krev got up from his seat and put his hand over Gray's shoulder.

'Clack'

One of the glass piece popped out of his face as he said ,

"If anything he just helped me sober u-"

"Shh... Bishop Krev I'm trying to get us free drinks here , just let me talk."

Gray was mature when it came to using his combat and assassination skills , but when it came to real life... he was nothing but a alcoholic.

"See! It's that easy."

His plan was a success , with the show Gray put on they were able to get there drinks paid by the low rankers.

With their hands in the pocket both of them walked on the empty street leading to the base. The sky was clear tonight , under the visible stars Krev asked ,

"Did you find anything on that guy?"

"Oh yeah , the boy Bishop Krev killed yesterday right?"

"..."

After killing Haki it was just another day for Krev.

Wake up. Train. Eat. Kill. Sleep.

"It wasn't that hard to find about him , Bishop should've just asked Migil for info like this. That kid was the son of some hotshot from Mutant Corp. , the father is still crying in the house."

"Did you find anything else?"

Taking a bit of time Gray replied ,

"Hmm... there was nothing else other than the siblings were kidnapped few years back. Oh right! The family had to bury him really quick , many of his relatives couldn't even see him for the last time. It looks like the family knew about his gifts , which was why they were careful enough to bury him before the decomposition kicked in."

Gifts came with many effects and one of them was fast decomposition , while it took days for human body to start decomposing mutant would start decomposing within hours.

On average it took between 8-12 hours for the body start decomposing and as time passed the decomposition rate would increase.

"Did Migil dig enough?"

Gray nodded and said ,

"It's Migil , nothing can escape his eyes."

While Krev looked at the sky thinking about his encounter with Haki , Gray looked at him with a smile on his face.

"There must be something interesting Bishop found."

Showing no change in his posture and not even giving him an eye Krev just brushed away his suspicions.

"Maybe some kind of secret related to that kid?"

"..."

Krev kept his mouth shut and let Gray guess anything he wanted , he knew that even in his widest guesses he wouldn't get why he wanted the information on Haki.

"Let me guess... that kid is a mutant and was kidnapped. Hmm... how about a... killer."

That was until Gray's guess was on point.

"..."

Still maintaining the silence Krev kept walking towards the base.

"Hahahaha , Bishop Krev you make it so obvious."

'What was it? What gave it away? Was it my breath? No , I'm still calm . Then was it my posture. Did I look a bit shaken?'

Many questions popped in his head but he still kept his stoic face to end. To change the topic of the conversation Krev started with a question he wanted to ask for a long time.

"Why are you still holding onto Priest's position?"

It was pretty obvious that Gray's skills surpassed those on the level of a Priest. The way he handled his missions and selected his targets showed his experience in the field of assassination.

"What is Bishop talking about?"

"You know well what I'm talking about."

The always smiling Gray for once let his smile down and wore a serious face.

"Because it's an order... I do what I'm ordered to , just like you Krev."

Krev was bit alerted by his words , the face Gray made looked scary. Upon that they way he addressed Krev was...

'Weird'

Right after saying that his lips curled up showing his fake smile again.

"Anyways , I'm want to drink more. Let's leech off Archbishop Seven this time."

"Looks like we'll have to postpone that"

Saying that Krev pulled his phone out of his pocket and showed the message Seven sent him earlier.

"Archbishop Seven wanted to talk with me , so we should probably break off here."

"Just f*cking tell me , what do you desire?"

"Hah , just let me die."

In the black room stood 2 identical men , both of them looked the same while facing each other one of them looked irritated while the other looked tired.

"I wish I could , but you are me. And I don't want to die."

Irritated Haki calmed down and continued ,

"Hero. Is that what you wish to be?"

"..."

"Is that your true desire?"

"..."

While the tired Haki kept his mouth shut the other one continued.

"Or is it the power of Hero you desire to have?"

'?!'

Suddenly the tired Haki looked up to his other self , it was first time someone actually understood his obsession with Heroes.

"The power that Heroes possess is definitely... unique to say the least , the power's unlimited potential is what makes it so special. Do you want that power in your hands?"

"..."

"Don't you need that power to save- to kill bad people?"

I'm sorry for taking this long T_T
