Chapter 20: Guess who's back

[??? (MC): How could you help me? What would you want in return.]

[???: I need information about the movements in the Land of Fire. I will help you by giving you enough resources like Jutsu, high ranking explosives. I will even give you the heads of missing Nin to collect their bounty and give you more freedom in your village. In return, I will need you to get in contact with people like the Hokage in the future.]

Wanting to meet the Hokage? What the hell did this person have in mind?

[???: Give me a minute, I will be back]

The person wrote again. Right after that, the world chat announced something again.

{Congratulations for a player to be able to make a whole new branch of power in 'Elemental Nations.' Congratulations for creating 'Scientific Ninja Tools.'}

[TechnoQueen: Right, it seems like ??? were there until you earn a codename]

As I saw that, I just stared at the Elite-chat in shock. This was an immediate wake up call to me. The players were treating it like that, a game.

In a game, you take the shortest routes possible to level up quickly.

[???(MC): Seems so. So how about we go for a meeting, I will be in the Earth country in about 2 months for a mission]

[TechnoQueen: I see. I am currently inside of the Earth Country for some business. I will be staying until then. Let me know more details in the upcoming week, I am busy for now.]

After saying that, TechnoQueen left the chat and probably went to do more research.

I then went and did what Sensei told me but I found nothing suspicious in the Motel.

I then began to train in the Flying Thunder God Jutsu. I could finally make my own, specifical seal for teleportation and use it.

If I wasn't wrong, it would take me around a month with me dedicating a clone to it for 6 hours a day. After that, I could use the Jutsu.

Sensei soon came back and told me he was going to lay low, and that he had sent word with his summoning Jutsu to tell the Hokage about the situation.

"This might just become an A-rank mission. This can be a legitimate established village made to study weapons." Sensei said as we both sat down on our beds.

"So how will we usually go through in these situations?" I asked sensei.

He paused for a second before continuing.

"Usually, during peace times, according to treaties, experimentation with weapons is banned, however no one follows that. However, we can destroy this entire village and the Village Hidden in the Stone will not be able to say anything." Sensei said.

However I didn't say anything and thought for a bit.

"Wait sensei. Would that not cause war?" I asked him.

"I honestly don't think the Hokage will want to destroy the village, Shikomu. Considering that the village seeks peace." Naido-sensei said.

I then thought back to the Hokage's previous actions.

Killing the entire Uchiha clan to avoid conflict in the village. Letting their allied Uzamaki clan die. Probably letting Naruto be bullied to appease Danzo.

The Hokage would not want to do anything to this place.

"At most, we will be asked to collect samples of the weapons and immediately disperse. I do not think this is their main location anyway. They wouldn't be so careless with it. However that would also mean they expanded to the point this place can be disposable."

As I thought about it, it made sense. It didn't make any sense to leave this place un-protected without any Ninja unless they didn't care about it.

Even then, there should have been a small amount.

"Anyways, for the next 6 days until we get back word, we will be hanging around and selling goods." Sensei told me.

I could barely train over the week, and spent most of my time learning Fuinjutsu. However sensei and I had learnt a lot more about this location.

This was a sort of connecting point of Handguns and distribution to other location points.

According to sensei, the handguns could easily kill Genin and even unprepared Chunin.

Today, Sensei's summon, a falcon, had come back from the village.

According to the Hokage, unlike what Sensei had predicted, we were told to stand ground.

At the end of the letter, before sensei burned it, I saw 2 different symbols on it.

Sensei smiled a little at the letter.

"Well color me surprised. It seems like war is imminent." Sensei voiced out.

"What do you mean sensei?" I asked him.

"We were told to wait here, until the Anbu arrived, and then follow the words of the Anbu commander. The rank of this mission has also changed. Congratulations Sikoumu, you are now participating in an A-rank mission with the head of the Anbu." Sensei told me with a slight smirk.

(Back in Konoha, 4 days ago)

"If this is true." Shikaku voiced, reading Naido's report. "We have to take this threat extremely seriously. It would be naive to believe the village hidden in the stone and the Lord of the Land of Earth is unaware of these new weapons under them."

"He is correct." Danzo said, as he looked at the Hokage and the 2 elders, Homoru and Koharu.

"We have to take control of the entire place and gain all the equipment. Even capture safely." Koharu, the old woman mentioned.

The Hokage looked at them and sighed.

"This might start a war." He mentioned.

"Something so simple will not start a war. Even destroying Ushihagakure didn't start a Ninja world war, so fear not." Homoru mentioned.

"I still believe this is an unnecessary risk." The Hokage said.

Shikaku was long motioned to leave the location by the Hokage.

"Hiruzen." Danzo called out, "I need resources to restart root."

"Now is not the time, Danzo." The Hokage mentioned sighing, while he continued to smoke.

"You know the movement of the villages. The sudden increase of spies among our genin. Orochimaru's sudden intense movements and now even these new weapons. The Root is needed for the safety of our village, Hiruzen."

The Hokage took another puff in his pipe and sighed.

"Very well."
