Execution

While following Clarke and Wallace to the control room, I sling the rifle across my back and draw the handgun at my side. After that I quickly grab ahold of Wallace and hold him in front of me while I press the handgun's barrel to the side of his head.

"What is the meaning of this?!" He asks me with panic.

"Well how else do you want to subdue the personnel in the command center, blow their brains out?" I ask rhetorically, tapping him on the head with the gun. "Come on, don't be stupid and remember what I said? No talking without my say so." I chided, slapping him on the back.

Looking towards Clarke I see that she is still confused as to who I am, but she doesn't seem afraid of me anymore as she meets my eyes with ease. "What, see something you like?" I ask sarcastically, motioning for her to keep walking.

When we finally get to the command center, I order Clarke to open the door and step inside first. Walking through the door, I see that there are two individuals sitting with their backs to the door with a pair of headsets on, seemingly concentrated on the screens in front of them.

"Clarke, would you be so kind as to tap one of them on the shoulder for me?" Without hesitation she follows my command, realizing it is an order and not a request.

Moving towards the closest man at a screen, she taps him on the shoulder just as I had said. The man quickly whirls around as he is startled by the unexpected presence. The moment he sees me holding his president hostage with a gun to his head, he quickly starts slapping the man next to him without even taking his eyes off of me.

"Dude, what do you want?" The second man asks the first, with annoyance clearly lacing his voice, not noticing me yet. In response, the first man just points at me with wide eyes. Turning around completely to face whatever his partner is pointing at, he finally spots me. "Shit." He mutters not so quietly.

"Shit indeed. Now get up, remove your weapons from their holsters and slide them across the floor to me." I order, pressing the barrel of my gun even harder against Wallace's temple. They do it, albeit hesitantly. "Good, now go stand against the wall over there." When they are against the wall as I ordered, I turn towards Clarke. "You too, Blondie."

Clark shoots me an annoyed look, but she does as I say and stands next to the other two with her back against the wall.

With the other three taken care of, I shove Wallace forward away from me which causes him to stumble and nearly fall. "Careful old man, you'll break something." I say lightly with a chuckle.

Turning back towards me, Wallace sees that I still have the gun trained on him with a smile on my face. My smile seems to enrage him though because his glare hardens even further. "What do you want?" He asks, his voice filled with barely concealed rage.

"For you to follow my orders and not talk unless I order you to." I answer with a shrug, pulling the trigger and putting a round straight into one of his kneecaps. As soon as the bullet blows apart his knee, he releases a yell filled with agonizing pain and collapses to the floor, his leg no longer able to hold his weight.

"You should have listened to me."

Lexa's PoV:

Just as I finish studying the map of the surrounding areas around Camp Jaha, a guard bursts into the tent. Looking up, I see the guard waiting for permission to deliver his news. "Speak." I order quickly.

"Heda, the Prisoner has arrived." The guard informs me. Nodding my head at his words, I dismiss him with a wave of my hand and return to my throne. After what seems to be a few minutes, Thelonious staggers into the tent bound and gagged, John following right behind him. Shoving Thelonious forward towards where I sit, he unceremoniously falls a few feet from me and I cannot help but smirk.

"Welcome to my camp, Thelonious." I say slowly, each word absolutely filled with authority. Jaha struggles to stand up as his leg looks pretty messed up, but he eventually manages it.

"We have much to talk about; remove his gag." Hearing my command, John quickly and roughly removes the dirty leather gag from Thelonious' mouth.

Jaha doesn't speak right away, he seems to be taking in his situation and based on the look he gives me, it doesn't take long for him to figure out who I am.

"You're the commander I presume?" He eventually asks, looking into my eyes with no fear whatsoever.

"Indeed I am, and you were the Chancellor of Skaikru."

"I was, yes. What is it you want from me? I am no longer their chancellor, they will not surrender if I tell them to." He says honestly, hoping he is able to persuade me from using him as a tool. Too bad that no matter what he does, or what he says, he will be used as a tool, for his fate is already decided.

"You misunderstand my intentions, Thelonious. I know that they will not listen to you, and as I'm sure you've seen on your way into my encampment, Skaikru has no intention of surrendering."

"Then what do you need from me?" He asks confused, glancing at John who is sporting a savage looking smile.

"Your life." I say simply. As soon as the words leave my mouth, John hits him on the back of the head knocking him completely unconscious, his body dropping heavily to the floor.

"Put him in position." I order, tossing John a sack to put over Thelonious' head. The sack will be lifted when we are ready to start the execution. Skaikru will see a figure tied to a post atop a raised platform in the front of our encampment, but they will not know who it is until we are ready to start the show.

"Understood, Heda." John replies, fitting the sack over Jaha's head and places him on his shoulder before walking out of the tent.

There were thunderous cries of Jus drein jus daun as I stood in front of the unconscious form of Thelonious Jaha. Surrounding me were thousands of warriors that were ready to rid themselves of the Skaikru invaders.

The execution platform that was put together for this was elevated about two meters off the ground, giving Camp Jaha the perfect view of the execution, even though they had no idea what was going on, nor what was about to happen. In the center of the elevated platform was a pole that had held Thelonious.

Looking around at the many faces surrounding me, I spot both Octavia and John. They were at the front of the crowd near the stairs leading up to where I was. I am not sure if it is just because they were closer to me than other warriors, or if it was because they were about to get the justice that they deserve, but they were chanting the loudest it seems.

The chants and the hundreds of lit torches in the darkness alerted Skaikru that something big was going down. I could see them all standing along their camp's walls, trying to get a better look, each trying to figure out what was going on. Feeling it is now time, I raise my sword high, and the massive crowd quiets down.

"A plague has arrived in our lands! They have broken our laws! They have spat on our traditions! They burned down a village and killed innocents in their sleep!" Pausing in my speech due to the influx of shouts of agreement.

"Today we cleanse ourselves of this plague and remove this infection from our home! These invaders do not belong here and we will show them that, tonight! Standing behind me is a man named Thelonious Jaha, the former leader of Skaikru!" I rip the sack off of his head, the sudden light and shouts causing him to become conscious.

Jaha trying to move his hands, he discovers that he is now tied to a pole. looking around confused, seeing the sea of bloodthirsty warriors all shouting for his death. He slowly makes the connection to what I said to him before he was knocked unconscious, and his face grows solemn. Spotting John at the front of the crowd, he knew his fate was sealed.

"With his death, marks the end of Skaikru!" I shout out, my voice reaching the ears of everyone present.

"Octavia!" Come up and place your mark as the first of many!" I motion towards Octavia with a small knife I keep on my person at all times.

Octavia gains a savage looking grin on her face as she hurries up the steps, eager to spill the blood of the man that took her mother from her. Hearing me say her name, Jaha finally recognizes her as the child under the floor. The second child of Aurora Blake, Bellamy Blake's sister… The realization hits him hard, but he doesn't regret his actions, he was only upholding the law, no one is above the law.

Octavia takes the knife in shaky hands, her gaze never leaving the bound form of Thelonious Jaha, the man that floated her mother. The reason she had to spend sixteen lonely years stuck within the same four walls of her room, unable to go out and interact with anyone other than her mother and her brother Bellamy.

Standing in front of the person she hates more than anyone else in the world, she doesn't give him any chance to speak before she walks away, leaving a long bloody gash across his chest. There were no words to be said, it wouldn't have changed anything and so she didn't bother. She just wanted to see him dead. Handing the bloody knife back to me, she returns to her spot next to John, who places a comforting hand on her shoulder as he sees a tear fall down her face.

What follows is dozens of warriors coming up one at a time, each placing their cuts upon Thelonious' body. Obviously not every single one of the thousands of warriors present can participate in this execution, so only those directly affected by the actions of Skaikru are allowed. Throughout the entire execution, Thelonious never said a single word. He knew that whatever was said would fall upon deaf ears. His life was filled with regrets, he had already accepted his death back upon the Ark, his escape to the ground was only a delay.

After a time, it was John's turn, and he would be the last. Placing my now bloodied knife in its sheath. Holding out my sword horizontally on my palms, John slowly walks up the steps to meet me. Looking into my eyes I notice that his eyes are wet with unshed tears, he is trying to be strong, I realize.

Carefully taking the sword from my hands, he turns and steps towards the bloodied and barely breathing form of Thelonious. "Do you regret all of the lives you've taken?" He asks, wanting to know if the monster he grew up under regretted his actions.

For a second it seemed as if John's voice wasn't heard, but then ever so slowly, Thelonious' gaze met John's. "Everything I've ever done as Chancellor, was for the greater good. Everything I did was for mankind's survival." He says raspily, the loss of blood and malnourishment finally catching up to him.

Nodding his head at Jaha's words, John placed the tip of the sword against Jaha's chest, directly above his heart. "And I'm doing this for my father." With those words, John thrusts the sword through his heart, ending the life of Thelonious Jaha.
