Nicholas heard the murmur, “Your Majesty, is something wrong?”

Duke Cross was the only one who dared to speak up. “Yes, there is something wrong.”

His hands came up to his sleeves. He looked at the crowd in front of him. “It seems I have been so lenient with you all that you dare to forget your place.”

The knights moved to face the ministers; their swords pointed to the neck. “Your MAJESTY! WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?”

Duke Cross was scared, and he screamed out. “YOUR MAJESTY, THIS IS UNFAIR! WHY ARE YOU RAISING YOUR SWORD ON INNOCENT SUBJECTS?”

This time, it was Duke Crowell. He was shaking in fear, but there was fury in his words. After pointing a sword at him, he would not let the Emperor getaway. Crowell was, after all, a person from the old family.

How dare they pull a stunt like that on him. “Is it unfair, Duke Crowell? Then tell me, is it fair to bully the Royal family and use them as one pleases?”
