Ch–97Ignored(pt-1)

The atmosphere is stanched with the smell of blood and glass. The ground did not have enough grass on the pathway. There was a stench of wet grass from the side of the road. The road itself was rough ground with stones here and there. The silence all around them felt eerie for Darce and Rosa. They slowly walked to the entrance of the village where they were welcomed by more corpses both the empires and the vatakku mixed.

“What happened here?” Darce asked. Rosa on the other hand was looking around for Ruh.

“We were ambushed here; they must have gone to regroup on the main road.” She replied while whistling to look for the horse.

Ruh neighed and ran towards them stopping just in front of Rosa poking her on the head with his nose.

Rosa reached over and patted her. “There is a good girl.”

“She is a loyal one,” Darce said smiling.

“She is my best friend,” Rosa replied and helped him get up to Ruh.
