Here be Chaos Part 4

Ha!

I'm back!

And I believe I passed that first exam, though the teacher surprised me as I expected It to be a spoken one and not a written one which while normally I'd be happy for, when you take into account the material it was about, I'd have preferred a spoken exam instead XD

But anyway. This chapter was hard to write (No seriously, at first i wanted to scrap it XD) but I think it turned out relatively well in the end. I wasn't sure if I would have time to finish it today but I managed, so the delay wasn't as much as I expected. So good for us.

His eyes followed the lights of multiple explosion with wonder. It was his first time to watch a fight of true, Equestrian, Magical Powerhouses, and he wasn't disappointed.

True, their magic wasn't very complicated, as most of the time, the Alicorns tended to use simple spells like magic blasts, explosions or the likes, but he didn't expect anything more from them, even if they had over a thousand years of experience.

"I don't know how you escaped my magic, but now I see that I should have just destroyed you!" Screamed Daybreaker as a crimson beam impacted the shield that Midnight created over Luna at the last second.

"Thanks sis." Luna said gratefully before turning to their enemy.

"You might have taken my sister's body, but I know She's still inside! And I'll do everything to get her OUT!" She screamed the last part while sending a blast of white light towards the possessed Celestia.

'...That was... somehow lame...Are we in some TV show or something?...' Starfall thought a bit amused at hearing such generic fight sentences...

His mind went back to his analysis regarding Equestrian battle magic...

Equestria is a mostly peaceful place, and there had never been much need for the Ponies to push into advancing their combat magic after the unification of the three factions. Unlike in his past world, where the Arms Race was a requirement if you didn't want to get attacked by the neighbouring countries, in Equestria, not counting the peaceful nature of Ponies which stopped their expansionism, a single huge magical blast of their Princess was a sufficient deterrent from most outside invasions...

With all that said, Starfall still admired the impressive sight of the sheer power of their magic, which he was hoping to reach soon if his training was any indication. Just a little, maybe a few months, and he would reach that level, and only the form of his core would be there to stop him from shooting similar blasts with a comparable level of power...

"Shouldn't we...I don't know...Help them?" Asked suddenly Twilight from beside Starfall.

"...Well..." Starfall drawled a bit embarrassed for getting too caught up in the Explosions...

Twilight looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

"...Well?..." She repeated and Starfall sighed in defeat.

"Well... It's not like I don't want to..." He said confusing Twilight.

"So what's the problem?..." She asked finally getting an annoyed groan from Applejack.

"Ugh. Honestly Sugarcube! Did ya forget that amongst us only Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash can actually fly?" Said the orange mare in exasperation.

"I...Oh...I see your point..." Twilight said embarrassed.

*BOOM!!!*

An explosion happened, throwing Luna and Midnight a few hundred metres away.

A cheerful shout came from behind the Ponies.

"Woohoo!!! You go Day-B!" Starfall took a moment to peek at Discord who for some reason wore a bunch of Daybreaker merchandise and had a giant peace sign shaped glove on his clawed hand...

The view was complemented by Pinkie Pie in a Luna cosplay, with a "Moony for president" billboard, shouting to encourage the two Moon-aligned Alicorns.

That the two weirdos soon starting to bicker on which Princess was better was quiet expected. That Discord made all this merchandise stuff exactly for the sake of causing a "playful" disagreement wasn't missed either.

But before he could say anything to the duo, A burst of white flames grabbed Starfall's attention.

"Oh, Phoebe! What are you doing here! it isn't safe here! Please go to Canterlot for now!" Starfall said as soon as the Phoenix appeared beside him. She took in the sight of everything before looking at Starfall with a worried look.

"Please Phoebe..." He said and the Phoenix finally relented and disappeared in flames, but not before giving him a short earful...

"Right...Girls...I believe we should-"He was again interrupted by another burst of flames, but this time Phoebe wasn't alone.

"Cadence?" Starfall asked surprised.

"Shining Armour!?" Added equally surprised Twilight upon seeing her older brother.

"Twily! What's going on. Phoebe didn't explain anything and..."The Stallion noticed the epic battle currently taking place in the sky...

"Hey! Not to be rude but could you guys introduce us?" Rainbow Dash walked over to the newly arrived duo ignoring their shocked faces.

"We don't have time for-" Twilight wanted to say but Starfall interrupted her by introducing everyone to eachother.

"...And that pink mare over there is Pinkie Pie. Don't mind her, or the god of Chaos beside her, we'll take care of him after we get Celestia back..." Starfall said feeling much calmer than he probably should be. But with all that happening at the same time, now... he honestly felt mostly numb to surprises...

It wasn't surprising when Cadence left to engage Daybreaker alongside Luna and Midnight, while Armour assisted them using his incredible talent in barier magic.

The corrupted Princess was quickly getting overwhelmed with the new additions, and he felt like it won't be long before she is back on the ground...

"Ugh...Im-possible!...I can't be defeated!...Darling!...Why?!"She screamed in anguish as she tried to unsuccessfully lift her body of the ground...

Starfall sighed and walked over to her, not paying attention to the others warning him not to do so.

The battle was pretty awesome, though slightly anticlimactic, as none of them needed to even lift a hoof to help the three Alicorns and Shining Armour in fending off Daybreaker...

One of the reasons he didn't engage her was actually none other than Discord... While he didn't think he would do anything malicious, he didn't trust him enough to bet his life and the life of his marefriends on that presumption.

And Starfall knew that amongst all of them, he was the only one who understood Chaos Magic enough to dispell it if needed. The Elements of Harmony, while powerful, were just a bunch of gemstones, and Discord was cunning. While Starfall prevented him from stealing them like in the show, just making them invisible was enough to show Starfall that he needed to be prepared for anything.

Starfall kneeled in front of Celestia... He couldn't help but find her appearance remind him of Azula from Avatar the last air bender when she lost everything. Even the fire theme was there...

She was crying and screaming, trying to pull herself towards Starfall.

He gently placed his hoof on her cheek causing her to stop in her tracks.

"It's alright Tia... I don't blame you for anything... I'm sorry that it had to come to this." He gently caressed her cheek while the bruised and filth covered Princess looked at him in confusion but leaning into his gentle touch.

"I...I just wanted to be with you..." She whispered and Starfall smiled.

"And all you needed to do was ask." He added before leaning over and catching her lips with his own.

Everypony watched this with a look of shock while Discord catcalled in the background.

But Starfall wasn't paying attention to anything as his mind was preoccupied with stirring the magic of Friendship inside of his chest to do it's damn job.

He knew that it's amount was far from enough to display the "destructive" power of the Elements but he knew enough about the Magic of Friendship to know that...It wasn't about the strength of an individual...

The girls suddenly felt a warmth spread through their chests and everyone watched in surprise as Starfall's Cutie Mark lit up.

Then a ripple of magic spread from where the two Ponies continued to kiss, as Celestia's mane transformed back into her original form, with all the other details that made her into Daybreaker returning back to normal.

Celestia gasped for air and looked around, only to find herself face to face with Starfall.

"I...I'm sorry..." She teared up, looking down on the ground In regret for how much trouble she had caused. She could see everything happening on the outside without the ability to do anything and she was mortified of what she did and tried to do.

"I told you. I don't blame you for anything. Though I'd advice you to be honest with your feelings from now on." He added with a wink As Celestia nodded shyly.

She was already slightly smaller than she used to be, so it was fair to assume her magic had a hand in that, and it made it easier for Starfall to lean over and kiss her forehead.

"Here. When I take you on a date, you might receive one on the lips." He added in amusement causing Celestia to look at him with a mix of emotions. Finally though, the emotion of happiness overwhelmed the other ones as she lunged into a deep hug filled with all the emotions of gratitude she could muster.

After a sickeningly sweet group hug, Rarity remembered that they still had one "villain" to take care of. Ponyville was still a huge maze and only it's sheer size that didn't hinder anypony's movement made them ignore it until now and focus on the previous battle...

Everyone turned towards Discord but what they saw confused them.

Discord was currently hitting his head on a table while pinkie pulled a large pile of bits towards herself with a wide grin.

"Um...Pinkie Darling? What are you doing?" Rarity asked what was on everyone's mind.

"Oh! Discord challenged me to a game of ponker! I didn't have anything on me, so he suggested betting my necklace! Look how much I won already!" Said the mare with an ever present grin.

"Wait! You bet your Element of Harmony!?" Asked a shocked Twilight.

"Ummm Yeah?" She said a bit unsure.

Twilight sighed.

"Pinkie, this-" She got interrupted by discord who screamed loudly in anguish.

"What does it matter! She beat me! She beat me even when I cheated!" He sobbed and returned to hitting his head on the table....
