Before the sleepover...2

//Honestly, a lot of people is trashing the spike arc while it's just a humoristic interlude. They are kids and I'm not gonna make them do more than kissing most likely... Now for the story, well...I am lazy XD I spend two nights riding a train and a bus but instead of writing I ended up reading "Soul of searing steel" + sleeping, and I'm totally wasted from not properly resting for three days in a row 😂//

Twilight stood in front of the oven, cooking a large number of dishes and humming a happy tune.

The sleepover was happening today and she wanted to make it a pleasant experience for her everyone so she was putting special attention into the food.

Starfall was currently setting up mattresses in the library chamber, as the business was already closed for the day. He also told her that he would use spells to make the beddings warm and comfy.

Twilight was really surprised when she learned about the spells, but she felt really warm after Starfall told her that he had been using the spell on her bed since the first day they had became roommates...

She was just finishing the daisy sandwiches when Starfall came into the room and snuggled into her side. No matter how many times he does something like this, it never gets old for her.

" Hey Twily. I just finished with the Mattresses and- Oh my! What's this delicious smell?!" He said, sensing an exquisite aroma from one of the pots.

*giggle* "It's you favourite soup Love. I know how you like it, so I made it for you. Just don't eat everything as I'm sure the others wow like to have a taste as well, haha!" Replied Twilight with a smile on her face.

"No promises." He said playfully and Twilight couldn't help but giggle.

Starfall had to say that he did a good thing teaching Twilight cooking instead of putting all this responsibility on poor Spike. He remembered sometimes wondering in his past life, whether there was some type of lower class slavery in Equestria, as he watched Spike doing all the menial tasks for Twilight... Turns out that he was just such a sweetheart who always wanted to help his 'mommy' and she would have just went with it if Starfall didn't interfere a little, giving the little dragon a bit more free time for having fun...

"Woah! This looks better than I expected Starfall! You really outdone yourself!" She Exclaimed, as she saw the Library chamber already prepared for the sleepover.

The mattresses were all set up in a circle surrounding a round table, and a small pile of board games and apple cider was already in the corner of the room. there was also a bunch of party decorations that he left unopened as he could already see a certain party pony wanting to have her wicked ways with them...

Starfall laughed hearing Twilight's amazement and replied.

"Why, I just felt like that would be the best set up. In the end, we want to have fun and not just sleep, and the table would obviously be the center of everything." He said matter of factly.

Twilight nodded understanding his point. Then she asked him something else.

"So how's the matter with Spike? Is he going to be alright? I know he's staying at Sweetie Bell's, but Rarity will be here with us..." She said a little worried for her little dragon.

"Don't worry. Rarity contacted me already and said that the Cake couple agreed to look after them tonight. She says that she completely trusts them, and from my own experience I know that they are both nice and responsible Ponies. And Spike can take care of himself so you can relax Twily." He assured her and she visibly relaxed.

A bunch of dishes soon floated from the kitchen, surrounded in purplish aura of her magic, before she set them up on the table and smiled.

"All's ready! Now it's just waiting for the girls to show up. What time is it?" She asked Starfall as he was doing a quick sorting of the books on the shelves.

"A-ahh, I think they should be here in thirty minutes." He said without turning back.

Suddenly he felt a warm breath touching his ear as a whisper resounded right beside him.

"Then we still have some time for a bit fun." She licked his cheek making him smile at his playful Marefriend's antics. "What do you say?" She said with a grin as Starfall turned to her with amusement.

"I say, someone needs to be taught a lesson...." He suddenly levitated her into the air and took her up to their bedroom as she screamed in glee...

"...Now be a good bunny Angel, and eat your carrots. I'm going out tonight so I hope you won't cause too much trouble... please..." Said Fluttershy trying to placate her overbearing bunny.

Angel though wasn't one to be denied as he continuously demanded a fur fluffing with the use of a rapid and powerful feet stomping...

"I know that we usually do your fur on the weekends, but it's still Saturday. Well have plenty of time tomorrow." She patiently explained as she moved the bowl of carrots closer to the bunny.

He was trying to keep a stubborn expression but the smell of the carrots finally broke his resolve and he agreed to let his caretaker go...for now...

Applejack was walking down the streets of Ponyville, pulling a cart filled to the brim with apple treats. She knew that Twilight and Starfall were going to prepare some food to eat, but she wouldn't feel alright if she didn't bring anything...

She turned her head to the small cart from which the apple themed delicacies were almost overflowing and sighed.

"Hope that's gonna be 'nough for everypony. Blimey, I'm no party Pony but it shouldn' be that hard to measure a food for a sleepover, right?..." She muttered.

If only she realized, that not everypony is a winner of multiple food eating contests in the local countryside...

Rainbow Dash was currently napping on a cloud when her eyes landed on the position of the sun, and she realized that she was almost late to the slumber party!

She instantly zoomed towards her house and packed everything she wanted to bring with herself before dashing towards the Golden Oak Library.

It all took her less than ten seconds flat...

Pinkie Pie was jumping in excitement down the streets of Ponyville with a Saddlebag full of party supplies and a basket of cupcakes jumping together with her on her back.

That none of the cupcakes got damaged through the entire journey was a mystery that no one could explain.

"Yeah!!! I'm also often curious why that is!" Said Pinkie Pie excitedly as she continued to bounce her way towards the Library...

Twilight went out of her room with a disheveled appearance and a goofy grin on her face before hiding in the bathroom. She needed to at least comb her hair before the girls come as the designated time was in just a few minutes... Starfall really did a number on her.

The Stallion in question though was already in perfect condition as his magic easily fixed his hair and the smell of all that he did to the purple mare a few minutes ago.

He already taught Twilight the spells to clean herself, but she gave him some speech about it not being the same as doing it by yourself. He of course had no problem in that department as this simple magic came to him as naturally as doing it with his own hooves but it was quiet amusing to him that the Element of Magic herself couldn't control magic as precisely as him when it came to doing your mane...

He walked out of their room and passed the bathroom where Twilight was having an emergency shower and snickered at his beloved childhood friend. She was always so organized and disorganized at the same time. Her occasionally outbursts of freaking out always brought a moment of entertainment to Starfall after which he would have to calm the overreacting Pony down.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door. Seems like one of the Mares was finally here.

He walked to the ground floor and opened the door only to get surprised by the appearance of a certain grey post mare with her cute eyes pointing in different directions.

She was holding an envelope in her muzzle which was clearly addressed to the Library.

"Oh! Hey Ditzy. It's good to see you today. Do you have something for me?" He asked the adorable cross eyed pegasus who smiled at him and nodded her head.

Starfall smiled back and took the envelope with magic and gave her a few bits as a tip.

"Thank you. I assume it's your last delivery today." He said and she nodded.

"Yes, Mr Starfall, I was just on my way home after bringing you your letter." She said pointing to her left but then squinting her eyes and pointing to the right.

Starfall laughed and patted her head making her blush.

"Then I bid you good evening dear. Go and buy yourself a muffin. I'd normally invite you for some tea, but we're a bit busy tonight so you'd have to excuse me." He said.

"It's alright. And I think I'll do just as you say haha! Good evening Starfall!" She waved her hoof and flew away in a zigzag pattern...

Starfall smirked seeing her leaving in her usual way. You just can't not like that mare...

He looked at the envelope floating beside him and recognized the post office of Canterlot but the sender surprised him.

It was from Princess Luna!...
