Chapter 73

I was sitting on top of a building. I was dangling my feet and drawing in a book.

"Stop messing around." I looked over at him and said "We still have time dont we?" He frowned at me and shook his head. "We gained Intel that they should be arriving in a couple of minutes."

I looked back at aizawa and nodded.

Right now, I was on a mission with him. There was a villian who robbed a store and we were told that he would driving by here in a red car.

He had a quirk that allows him to teleport once a day. He would bring a gun with him and rob a place. He would then collect the money and teleport to a safe spot. He can only teleport up to 65 feet however.

"That's the car right?" I pointed to a car that was driving crazily. "That's him Alright." Aizawa then started to put his goggles on. "Alright kenji. Here's the plan..."

I already jumped off the building. I was heading down at fast speeds and eventually crashed into his car. My feet went through the bottom of the car and I anchored it down.

The car slowly slowed down until it came to a stop. "Wha- Who are you!?" I put my feet back in the car and got out. I then walked up to the front of the car and knocked on the window.

He let the window down slowly and a gun appeared in my face. The shot the moment he saw me but it didnt work. I caught the bullet and then I grabbed onto his gun. I bent it and he dropped it out of the window.

"Y-Your him!" I guess he recognized me huh? Anyways, I grabbed his door and opened it. The door flew off and landed a little bit away.

"Freeze. Vile? You. Are surroomdded?" I was reading something off a piece of paper. Whoever made this wants to see me my downfall.

Anyways, I punched him in the face and he fell forward to the steering wheel. The horn went off so I had to push his head a little bit.

"Its him!" I looked back and saw many people with their phones out. "Its the pro hero: Ajax!" Yea, I'm still not used to hearing it.

"Dont worry guys. The villain is no longer a problem." They started cheering and ran up to me. "May I have your autograph!? I'm a huge fan of yours!" I smiled at the lady and nodded. She squealed and turned around. She held up to fingers and posed. I did the same.

She took the picture and backed away. "Thank you!" She then started running away. "Can we get one too!?" "Yea me too!" I sighed and nodded at them all.

While I was taking a picture with a child, I got a text message. "You and I are having a talk." He put smiling emoji for some reason after that.

I sighed and put my phone away.

"How many times have I told you!? Wait for me to explain the plan again and then you can go!" He was pissed off at me. "I'm sorry. It's just that if you would have explained in that moment then he would have gotten away."

He stared at me with his red eyes. After a while however, they went away. "This is your last warning Kenji." He picked up his suitcase and left. I mumbled something under my breath when he did.

"You got in trouble again huh?" He walked in the door and I smirked. "Yea I did but to be fair,-" He put his hand out. "Yea yea i know. 'But to be fair, I'm not in the wrong this time' is what you were going to say right?"

He pulled a chair up in front of me and sat down. "Its been a month now since we started working under heros you know?" I nodded at him and looked out the window.

"I heard that you've been making a name for youself aswell." He smiled a bit when I said that.

"You think so?" I smiled and said "Yea! I think your more popular than me to be honest." He laughed a little and looked out the window.

"A lot has happened in the past couple of months kenji. We fought those two big villians. Had to fight those guy at the USJ and we, well you, had to fight those guys the camp."

I turned my head back and looked at the side of his face. "We had that teacher and student vs another teacher and student match at the festival which was fun. The concert was cool aswell.." He nodded a little.

"Yea and we fought against class 1-B which was kinda easy but it was still fun." He turned his head back and stared at me in the eye. It atmosphere grew silent.

"Your not stopping me."

He flinched when I said that. "I have to go."

He heard this and kept starring at me. He realized what i said and he started to put his head down slowly. You could see a tear run down his cheek. "Why kenji?" He paused. "Why are you leaving kenji!? That job is too dangerous for you!" He yelled at me.

"I'm sorry izuku. They said that this was a secret mission. They need my power and I have to give it to them. That's what a hero should do right?"

His head shot up and it was full of tears and snot. "But.. But." He couldnt get his words out. Me saying that's what a hero should do really caused his heart to turn.

"This.. isnt fair. Your only 17! Why would they.. Why would they send a 17 year old over there on such a dangerous mission!?" His voice was breaking. "This isn't fair!"

I got up off and desk and stood over him. "I'll be fine man. You know that I'm I'm strongest so why are you worrying?" His body twitched and he slowly put his head back down. "The strongest huh? You have said something like that before."

I smiled and patted his green little head. "You worry to much." I grabbed my bag and started walking away.

"Wait!" He yelled out to me and I stopped. I turned around and stared him down. He got up out of his seat and walked over to me sluggishly. He was a couple of feet away from me now. "Dont you dare, No, it's not even that!.." He paused for a moment.

"You better come back alive!" He put his fist out and bumped my chest. I stared at him for a while. He was actually worried about me . Tho I guess hearing that your friend that you've known for over 10 years was going on a dangerous mission in a far away place would make you like this.

"I'll be fine izuku midoriya. I'll come back without a scratch on my body." He then looked up at me. "But you better not slack off. If I don't see you on the news almost everyday then I'll be mad. We have a goal remember?"

Saying this must have been a culture shock for him. He stared into my pupils and said "I didnt forget. I'll be the number one hero while you can be my sidekick right?" He tried to form a smile. I laughed a little a the backwards statement.

"Be a good hero ok? Be the type of hero that makes everyone smile and dont forget that." I gave him one last head pat and walked away.

"I will be a good hero! I promise." He said while clenching his shirt. He was still crying but was more composed. "Good cause when I come back, I'll be taking your spot."

I walked out the door and closed it.

"Why are you all here?" I was at the airport now. I was about to board my flight when I saw all of them in the corner of my eye. I thought that this was a secret mission.

"Well ofcourse we'll be seeing you off! Your our classmate after all." I looked a Kirishima and nodded.

"Did you really think that you would board that plan without anyone seeing you off?" I looked at my favorite erasure head hero and smiled.

"Kenji." Bakugo came up to me and stared at me. "Good luck out there man." He extended his hand out to me and smiled faintly. "Thank you." I took his hand and shook it.

"She is going to miss you." I looked over and saw that it was toga. "She said that she didnt want to come and see you off." I let go of bakugos hand and he walked off.

"That's fair I guess. I told her that I was leaving for a year so I guess she would be kinda mad." Toga came up to me and hugged me. "She was crying you know. Telling herself to stop but she never could." I frowned a little.

"I'm sorry. Please tell her that I'm sorry. For leaving so sudden. And for not being there for her in her most important parts of her life." In my past life, my parents left on a trip that was going to last 2 years

I cried that whole day. For the longest I never knew why they did.

It wasnt until they came back was when I was told. They got a new job for money purposes. I couldnt go with them because they could only afford a single bed room.

They missed out on my birthdays. My first time getting an award at school. My first time tieing my shoe. I was only 4 when this happened. I wasnt a bright student by the way if you must know.

Anyways, I would miss out on her birthday probably. She was bound to get something from school but i wont be there to see it. It would be only a year but there could be so much that happens in that time period and I wont be there to see it.

"Dont say that! You being there was just enough for her! You saved her from that suffering and agony. Without you, she might still be suffering!" Tears started breaking down.

I could only watch. No tears could come out of my eyes even if I could make a crying skill. Ever since the day my parents died, nothing was able to come out.

"Thank you toga. Thank you for taking care of me and eri. I love you guys very much." She sniffled and more tears started coming out.

While that was happening, the others ran up to me and jumped on me. "D-Dont go Kenji! We need you!" I looked at momo and patted her head. "You dont need me. You can do just fine on your own." She dug her head deeper into my chest.

"All of you are fine. You can managed without me and I know it!" They all put their heads up and stared at me. "You'll be amazing heros in my eyes and in everyone else's."

"But we want you to see that." I looked at jiro who was frowning. "Show me when you get back! It'll be a good welcome home present." She rubbed her eyes and nodded.

"Last call for departure!" A lady yelled across the room. The girls heard this and got up slowly.

"Old man. Snipe. Midnight. Mt.Lady. Nezu. Sensei. Ectoplasm. Vlad. Mic. 13. And everyone else." I paused for a moment. "Thank you! For teaching me what it is to be a real hero!" I smiled at them and turned around.

I walked over to the lady and gave her my ticket. I walked up into the docking area and looked back. They were all starring at me with sad eyes. I waved at them then turned around.

"Its your turn now. They'll have to face their own problems for now on."

"Hey. Wheres midoriya at? You would think that he would be the first person here?" Bakugo looked at Kirishima and shrugged. Bakugo then started walking away to the exit with Kirishima following.

"He's really gone." The girls were still in disbelief. "Its fine momo. He said that he wanted us to stay strong right?" She looked at mina and nodded. "Then let's show him!" She shook her head of the bad thoughts and started to look at the good. "Yes!" She smiled and nodded at mina. The rest did the same.

"Shota.." The heros all looked at him when midnight said that.

He was smiling brightly while looking up. "I liked him." That was all he said before he left with his hands in his pockets. The heros were shocked when he said that.

He never took on a sidekick before. When kenji asked him, he accepted it almost immediately. "Kenji skies. The only man in the world who melted aizawa lazy heart." Midnight then started feeling herself up.

"He's shown us all something that we've never seen before" said nezu. They all nodded in agreement.

Everyone present soon began to leave. There was no left besides a green haired boy to just showed up. He walked up to the window and stared out of it. "Just you wait!" His face was seen and he had a huge smile. "I'll become strong. Strong enough to protect everyone! Strong enough to protect even you one day!"

The boy stayed there for a while and continued to smile.

Okay please cheer. Anyways, I dont know how this is going to go and sorry if you wanted to see the mc go straight into the war arc. I wanted to do it when their seconds years.

I killed them off at the beginning so they lost a lot of planning time. This is my bs excuse as to why the war arc is starting in their second year.)
