Chapter 14

I spent the entirety of yesterday staring up at the ceiling, pacing, and stuffing my face with sweets. I've only now gotten myself to stop after a heavy slumber, one interrupted by pings and rings from my co-workers at Sydneys.

Setting the device on silent I pick myself off the bed, stretching my joints till they pop and crack. Scrubbing my eyes I let myself fall back into the comfort bed and sigh, staring at the ceiling once more.

Throughout yesterday I got no notifications from the one I'm keeping my band on for. Astro. At the same time I'm conflicted in what I'll do if he does send a message.

Or rather when.

There's another thing to consider after all. One in truth I shouldn't be so hesistant to leap at. 

How do I deal with Vern?

I know I'm no liar so unless the years between my future self and I have turned her...me, into a liar then I can believe without a doubt that Vern is indeed in danger.
