Chapter 11: Serialised Unrequited Love

I slid my thin fingers under his shirt. He flinched at the feeling of his bare skin being touched by my cold hands. His pale skin turned a shade darker. He was biting his lower lips as he squirmed under his grip. I could feel a sly smile break across my face.

"You can never run away from me, baby," I whispered into his blushing ears. A small moan left his mouth as my warm breath tickled his smooth nape and my deep, sexy voice entered his ears.

"L-Let me go," he whimpered out and squirmed more. I couldn't help but chuckle at his reaction. He was overwhelmingly adorable. Especially when he was so damn helpless. Beads of crystal clear swear drops had appeared all over his forehead and neck. I watched as he licked his plump pink lips in nervousness and glanced up at me. He gazed at me through his round, golden glasses, his glittery purple eyes shimmering with the innocence of a little angel.

"I do not want to," I responded to his previous request.

"Please," he begged. "Let me go, Felix," he groaned in a soft voice.

His begging voice was not helping at all. The more he looked at me with his big eyes as if he was begging for mercy. The more he whimpered while being pinned to the light blue wall of the urinal of our school building, the more I felt turned on.

All these years, I had struggled to hide my yearning, love, longing and the desire to have him. I had spent countless sleepless nights, thinking only about him. With my heart's greatest desire so helpless before me, I could not resist the urge to slide my hand all the way up to his nipples. My fingertip brushed against the tip of his pink bud that was hidden under the white school shirt. My action made him give out a loud, long and shrilly moan as he threw back his head and his fluffy, pink hair pressed against the hard wall.

"Cherry, I love you," I voiced out hesitantly while allowing to let my finger tease his nipple. Cherry was a total mess. He was panting heavily. His chest heaved up and down, sweat trickled down his neck, his eyes were shut tightly and his pink hair was plastered to his head. My words drew out a little giggle from him.

"I love you too, Felix," he said while panting and chuckling.

"R-Really?" I said out more loudly than I should have.

"Yes," he said while nodding. He lowered his head and looked directly into my eyes. His pink lips were curled into the most adorable smile ever. He slithered his arms all up to my shoulders.

"I love you, Felix," he repeated, leaving me completely dazed in disbelief.

"I want to share my everything with you, Felix," Cherry continued.

"I-" he hesitated. His plump cheeks burned a dark shade of red and he hung his head down out of embarrassment. But, even with his head lowered down, I could see the shy smile on his face.

"I-I always only wanted to lose my virginity to you," he mumbled out with a nervous chuckle.

"But, I do not want to do it with you here," he completed and rose his blushing face to look at me.

"T-Then where do you want to do it, Cherry?" I asked still a little bit dazed from the newly gained information that Cherry indeed liked me.

"Maybe at my home," he nervously suggested.

"I want my first time to be special and romantic, not public and embarrassing," he said while giggling.

An unconscious smirk appeared on my face and I pulled my newfound boyfriend closer to myself until our chests touched.

"Then let's do it tonight, baby," I said seductively that made my precious gem shy. Cherry buried his face in my chest while embracing me and let out a muffled humm in response.

It was going to be our first time very soon, I thought with satisfaction of obtaining my life's love seep into my heart.

"Wait, that's all?" Jungkook asked no one in particular as he stared at the large screen of his laptop. With cocked eyebrows, he frantically scrolled up and down the screen, but only reached the same disappointing end each time. A heavy sigh slipped out from in between his pink lips. He clicked in the long white box at the end of the page with Comments written above it. His fingers hurriedly pressed the numerous keys on the keyboard just as the letters appeared in the box.

JK97_msbu: Hey, author @tyxm1095, the chapter was AMAZING! I really loved it. Can't wait for your next update.

After making sure his job was done, the raven-haired boy laid down onto his bed, defeated and tired. His comment was partially a lie. He had not completely hated the last update of Cheesecake Shot, it was just that he was expecting for the chapter to continue into the 18+ scenes. Unfortunately, all of that was to be a part of the web novel's next update which was on the seventh of June, nearly a month later. Jungkook was a bit disappointed with his friend, Kim Taehyung, the author.

A small tune played from Jungkook's phone immediately caught the attention of the tired University student. He immediately crawled across his bed to grab his phone. A message notification had popped up on the cracked and scratched screen. Jungkook hastily unlocked his phone and opened the message from his web novelist friend.

Tae(hyung)^2🐯: Wanna meet up tomorrows? 😊

Me: Why all of a sudden?

Tae(hyung)^2🐯: No, just like that. I have not met you ever since you started Uni.

Me: Aren't you in Daegu? 🤨

Tae(hyung)^2🐯: I was. I decided to take a break and come to Seoul. I'll be arriving tomorrow morning. We can meet up tomorrow evening.

Me: Alright. If you would've told me in advance, I would have let you stay with me. But, not now. 😒

Tae(hyung)^2🐯: Awwww...I wanted to surprise you. 😅

Me: 🙄

Tae(hyung)^2🐯: 😅...okay bye, Kookie! See you then, my baby bunny! 😚🥰 I'll send you the address later today!

Me: ...ewww. Bye. 💜

It was about six in the evening. The previously light blue sky was slowly dimming down into darker shades as the day was seeping into the night. It was a Sunday, making it another reason to explain all the traffic and noise on the road. It seemed like a very busy evening fr every person who was gathered out on the road, outside the large glass window of the restaurant in which Jungkook was seated. Taehyung was yet to arrive making Jungkook assume that he had either forgotten about their meet up, like all those times in the high school days, or he had just gotten stuck in all that load of traffic. Anyways, Jungkook was bored out of his mind and was impatiently tapping his foot on the tiled floor below his feet. He rested his chin on his palm as he stared out at the flurry of flashing lights out on the busy road. Jungkook could feel the presence of an unknown nervousness jittering within him. It was probably because he was meeting his Hyung after so long, Jungkook thought and tried to brush off the strong emotion. It had been nearly a year and a half since he had last seen Taehyung.

Ever since Jungkook began to attend University in Seoul, he had hardly ever had the time to converse with his childhood friend. By the time Jungkook started his first semester, Taehyung had found his first job as a web novelist with a renowned publishing agency. Taehyung had been successful in fulfilling his life's dream of being an author. A few months into his writing profession, he had decided to shift back to his homeland, Daegu, where he met his friend, Min Yoongi.

As time passed by, Jungkook nearly lost all contact with the older. Taehyung rarely messaged or called and he eventually even changed his number. Taehyung and Jungkook slowly began to drift further and further away from each other and the heartbroken younger began to assume his only friend no longer wanted him and had probably even completely forgotten him. It was only when Jungkook accidentally discovered Cheesecake Shot, was the younger able to rebuild his contacts with the other. Jungkook hated the feeling of being the only one who wanted to maintain their close friendship. There were instances when he felt he was being clingy or desperate. He did not want to make a fool of himself and seem like the one who only gives but never receives.

Just as Jungkook decided to give up and no longer contact Taehyung, the older began reciprocating. Taehyung began messaging the younger nearly every morning, each of his texts portraying his worry for the younger. He apologised multiple times for losing contact. With Taehyung back in his life, although not physically, Jungkook began to realise that he felt safer, happier and more satisfied. Taehyung was a vital part of his life and his friendship meant everything to the younger.

"Sorry for keeping you waiting," a deep, sweet voice chimed in with a nervous chuckle making Jungkook distracted once more.

The raven-haired boy turned his head to have his gaze be welcome by the soothing sight of Kim Taehyung. At the sight of the older, Jungkook's mind began scanning his from top to bottom, making him realise that even after such a long period of time, Taehyung was the same. His Hyung had not changed in the slightest. Taehyung had the same plump, pink lips which he periodically licked. His almond eyes held the same sparkly gleefulness that they used when they were younger and carefree. His hair was dark brown and grown out, with perms and curls throughout their lengths, giving his silky strands a fluffy feeling. Even his fashion sense was more or less the same. Jungkook believed this as he was dressed in a white oversized shirt under an emerald green sleeveless sweater. This he had paired with black trousers and black leather loafers.

Taehyung placed his bag to his side as he slipped in and seated himself on the brown, cushioned bench across Jungkook.

"I'm sorry for being late. I got stuck in traffic," he nervously admitted with a chuckle to which Jungkook shook his head.

"It's alright," he said as the younger straightened up in his seat, so he could face the older properly. There was an awkward silence between the two as none knew what to say to start a conversation.

"So..." Taehyung hesitantly began speaking, trying to start a conversation.

"How have you been?"

"Alright. Nothing great like you," Jungkook shrugged in response as he fidgeted with the corner of the menu book.

"Oh okay. Have you been studying well?" the older continued.

"Uh-huh. I have been doing good in all subjects," Jungkook nodded, his eyes nervously fixated on the clean, white table, the only element separating the two.

"Ah, that's good!" Taehyung exclaimed.

"Have been doing good, Hyung?" Jungkook chimed in the question which made Taehyung frantically nod in response.

"Doing better than before," he said smiling.

"Oh," Jungkook mumbled in a little voice and nodded.

"I am glad that you're doing good. After all, you're doing what you love," the younger commented obtaining a chuckle from the older ho nodded in agreement.

"Have you planned on what you'll write after Cheesecake Shot?" Jungkook asked.

"Yes, but it'll probably be of the boys' love genre again," Taehyung shrugged.

"You sound disappointed," Jungkook chimed with a cocked eyebrow.

Taehyung nodded with a sigh.

"I don't really like it," the older admitted.

"Why? Your novel's really good! Also popular! Then?" Jungkook blurted out all in one time in obvious confusion. Jungkook's statements only rose te portrayed disappointment on Taehyung's face.

"Cheesecake Shot wasn't even supposed to be a BL novel. But, my agency forced me to change it into one," Taehyung admitted with a sigh.

"You're kidding me!" Jungkook exclaimed in disbelief.

"I am not, Jungkook," Taehyung sighed in defeat.

"So, Cherry was originally designed as a girl?" Jungkook guessed and Taehyung nodded.

"Oh, that's sort of weird," Jungkook mumbled with his head hung down.

"I actually loved the novel," Jungkook completed.

"But," Jungkook began again and looked up at the older.

"What difference does it make whether the novel is BL or not? The plot remains the same, right?" Jungkook explained with a hopeful look in his twinkling dark eyes.

Taehyung shook his head in disagreement and his expressions dropped.

"It does Jungkook," he began.

"The only reason why I can continue writing is that I imagine Cherry as a girl while imagining and typing down the chapters," Taehyung explained.

"But, what's so wrong in writing about a gay couple?" Jungkook questioned, not completely understanding.

"Unless you are homophobic, Hyung," Jungkook shrugged.

"I'm not homophobic, Kook. But, just because I am not against same-sex relationships, it does not mean I am gay or comfortable with writing content like that."

"Oh..." Jungkook muttered.

He gulped in nervousness and shifted uncomfortably in his seat. A small ache rose in the centre of his chest and it made him feel as if his heart was aching after being broken. He awkwardly nodded and decided that the only way to overcome the much-disliked hurt within himself was by changing the topic. With a small, awkward laugh, he shifted the topic of conversation from the older's profession to what they wanted to eat. Fortunately, Taehyung forgot about the conversation easily too and the pair continued to enjoy their evening with light-hearted conversations, laughter, some good food and liquor to celebrate their reunion after a year and a half.

However, although the topic had been long forgotten and the night and seeped into its late hours, Jungkook found it nearly impossible to get over the sharp, painful thumping of his heart. As each second got spent gazing at the ethereal form of Taehyung, Jungkook found it more and more troublesome to keep in his words below his throat.

~~~~~
It was already eleven at night and nearly all streets in the area had been abandoned by individuals to retire into their abodes. Other than a few drunkards, gangsters or creeps, no one was really in the quiet, eerie streets of Seoul. There was a comfortable silence between Jungkook and Taehyung as they walked at a regular pace along the empty street that was lit on both sides with lamps and streetlights. There was no hurry portrayed in the steps they took. Jungkook had his hands thrust within the warm pockets of his black baggy pants. The sounds of his thick-soled boots scraping the concrete below him were the only sounds echoing in the silence of the night.
Jungkook glanced at the older from the corner of his eyes. Taehyung was visibly comfortable and relaxed. No tension or stress was lurking in his posture. On the other hand, Jungkook was stiff and nervous. His mind was whirling with thoughts and his heart was experiencing a frenzy of emotions that his mouth longed to blurt out to the one beside him. Although Jungkook had already obtained what Taehyung's answer would be that evening, he still felt the desperation of confessing it all to the one beside him. He was only nervous to face the consequences of his actions. He was too scared to lose his friendship. The younger boy clenched his hands into tight fists within his pant pockets as his mind contemplated and his heart searched for courage. His confusion made him question whether it was better to suppress his feelings and move on or spill them out and face the result bravely.
"Hyung," Jungkook mumbled in a low, raspy voice.
"Yes?," Taehyung asked with a nod and face the younger who walked beside him with a small smile on his golden face.
"I have something to tell you," Jungkook admitted.
"Go one, Kookie," the older said calmly.
Jungkook stopped abruptly in his tracks. On realising this, a confused Taehyung did the same. With a deep sigh, the younger turned to his left to face the older who looked at him with a calm look. Taehyung's relaxed emotions and expressions gave the younger little more confidence as he gathered up the courage to begin revealing to Taehyung some things he had wanted to ever since he entered high school.
"Hyung," he began.
"You might hate me after this, but I guess I'd rather say it instead of trying to suppress it."
Taehyung cocked an eyebrow in curiosity, surprise as well as confusion. He nodded, gesturing Jungkook to go on.
"Hyung, I have come to realise that I have feelings for you. I am in love with you," Jungkook said it out, making sure that his voice only portrayed confidence and boldness. He managed to hide all his nervousness and hesitation away as he spat out the words.
"What?" Taehyung blurted out the exclamation with an equal amount of confidence, portraying no hint of hesitation. He did so even without a few seconds of thinking.
Taehyung's reaction allowed the sharp pain to creep through Jungkook's veins as he now only waited for the words of rejection.
"Jungkook, what the fuck are you saying?" Taehyund expressed his astonishment.
"I am not lying, Hyung. I am in love with you," was the immediate response from the raven-haired boy.
Taehyung took a few steps back, away from the younger. Taehyung's face distorted into an expression that showed his disgust and disbelief.
"I have a girlfriend, Jungkook," the older said.
"I-I did not know that, Hyung. You never told me that," Jungkook said as he hung his head down in distress and dejection.
"I'm sorry," Jungkook mumbled in apology.
"Never try to approach me ever again!" Taehyung shouted and the last thing that the younger heard was the stomping of Taehyung's shoes on the road as he hastily left.
A single drop of tear trickled down Jungkook's pale face as he stood in the middle of the road, carrying a shattered heart, a broken friendship and unacknowledged feelings.
