"As I thought," Song Feng Mian said as she grabbed Yu Yingyi's chin, "Your beauty really could rival women from imperial families," she added.

"Huh?"

Song Feng Mian was only a few inches away from Yu Yingyi's face, if one of them leaned forward, their lips would definitely touch. Somehow, Yu Yingyi's heart started beating a bit faster, that was when she pulled away.

"What was that?" Yu Yingyi asked.

"Nothing, is there anything else you need other than a makeover?" asked Song Feng Mian.

"Why didn't I encounter any maids on the way here? Since you guys are the imperial family, you should have maids," said Yu Yingyi

"I'm surprised you noticed that, but we do have maids. When there's an important announcement happening, all maids are on break," said Song Feng Mian.

"Why is that?" asked Yu Yingyi.

"Because there's a chance of traitors, but I bet you don't know anything about the conflict with the other empire we have," said Song Feng Mian.

But of course, Yu Yingyi has heard of it before, so there was no way she couldn't have, after all, everything that's happened between the Song empire and the Wang empire was written down in the novel.

"Princess Feng Mian, I'm here to deliver your food." said the voice from behind the door.

"Come in!" Song Feng Mian yelled.

"Wait! What about me?! What am I supposed to do? I'm not supposed to be here!" Yi Yingyi whisper-shouted.

"It's fine, plus, you don't even look like a commoner anymore." Song Feng Mian reassured.

Before Yu Yingyi could protest again, the door already swung open as the maid entered.

"Princess- huh?"

"Don't worry about her, she's only there to get something for me since I can't leave my room," said Song Feng Mian.

The maid stared at Yu Yingyi for a moment, although she looked someone unfamiliar, from the way she looked and the way she was dressed. The maid could tell she was someone from a rich family or even from an imperial family.

"I see, then here's your food princess." said the maid as she put the plate of food down on the desk "I'll be taking my leave now, princess." said the maid as she bowed and left.

"See? I told you your beauty rivaled the top beauties of the imperial family, even the maid didn't find anything suspicious," said Song Feng Mian.

"That certainly makes me feel better about myself, but what did you mean by traitors and anything suspicious?' asked Yu Yingyi.

"Hmm, I guess it's fine if you know. Since there are multiple empires in this nation of ours, naturally, there will be conflicts between them. And that's what's happening between us and the Wang empire."

"We have no idea if they're going to send spies here disguised as citizens and apply as a maid for the imperial family. That's why every time there's an important announcement, the maids would go on break just in case." Song Feng Mian explained.

"I see, that makes a lot more sense. Then what about the suspicious part you mentioned?" asked Yu Yingyi.

"Couldn't you decipher it? If someone was cooped up in their room for who knows how long suddenly says they have a friend, would you believe them?" asked Song Feng Mian.

"That's the same situation I have, If I call you my friend when no one has ever met you, it would bring suspicions to me. Anyways, I have a question I've been meaning to ask since I'm confused about something," said Song Feng Mian.

"What is it?" asked Yu Yingyi.

"Who's the husband and the wife in the relationship? I have my own opinion, but I'd like to hear the answer from the person who's getting married," said Song Feng Mian.

Yingyi thought about it for a moment, who really was the husband and wife in their relationship. If she had to say, then Song Liya was the husband in the relationship.

"Song Liya is the husband and I'm the wife in the relationship." Yu Yingyi stated.

"Hoh? That's surprising, if I had to say, you're the husband in the relationship and my sister is the wife in the relationship," said Song Feng Mian.

'Why is that?"

"My sister is the fierce wife who does whatever she wants and you're the husband who's there to calm her down and the only one who can tolerate her. That's how I see it."

"Of course, Liya has been calling you her wife the entire time so the decision is already settled."

Right as Yu Yingyi was about to turn and walking straight, she felt something soft on her cheeks.

"Just a gift for visiting me," said Song Feng Mian as she closed the door behind her.

Yu Yingyi stared at the door and didn't know what to do. Before the heat could reach her cheeks, she quickly calmed herself.
