Goodbye to the new world

Axel walked out and Jamiel stood there for a while staring in the direction Axel had just walked past.

He looked over at Riveria who was still sleeping soundly and took his cloak. Since he used his shirt to bandage her wounds, he could only wear his trousers leaving his torso open.

He walked out of the cave to get some wild fruits and veggies for Riveria. She would need something to eat when she wakes up and cooking healthy soup would be impossible in a cave.

He went out for a while and when he got back, he still found her sleeping soundly. Most people would take three days before waking up so he wasn't too surprised seeing her sleeping till now.

He sat by her side and helped tuck her hair at the back of her ear. He stared at her pale skin and purple chapped lips. Her face had lost colour and her neck was bony.

His fingers traced her chest bone and her jawline. His thumb rubbed her cheek gently.
