Strange Language

Master Eunice tilted her head then raised her brow and asked.

"What? Cat caught your tongue?"

Titan who was a little taken aback realized what was happening and abruptly stood up. She paused for a while and thought of how to pass her message through.

This time around, master Eunice simple passed her a chalk with a mischievous smile formed on her lips. Knowing fully well that Titan may have never even heard the word spirit, she still passed her a chalk to make a fool out of her.

'Ha! You claim to be all high and mighty. Let's see how you manage this.' As master Eunice thought about this, a sinister smile formed on her lips making her look like an ancient evil mistress of some forbidden cult dominating an empire filled with demons.

Titan hesitantly collected the chalk and began to write on the board. Master Eunice didn't look at the board on time but when she turned to look, she realized Titan was writing in a language which no one understood, not even she, master Eunice.

Titan kept writing for so long and fast to the extent that the students didn't understand if she was possessed by some kind of demon or not. Master Eunice just stared at the board equally confused.

'What exactly is this annoying brat writing?'

After a long while, Titan put a dot at the end of the long epistle and turned around. When she turned to face the students, she could not understand why they had such an expression on their faces. Even master Eunice took some time before coming back to her senses and collecting the chalk from Titan.

When master Eunice came back to her senses, she stared at Titan with a frown.

"If you didn't know what the answer was, you should have just said so. You didn't have to scribble on the board."

'Scribble? What does she mean by...'

Titan instinctively turned to look at what she had written still dumbfounded at why the master was causing such a ruckus over her simple and short answer. But when she saw what was on the board, her jaw dropped. Did she really write all that? What language was that and how come she wrote it?

Before master Eunice could say anything else, a voice came from the door.

"Aham! All of your leave... Go back to you dorms." It was the familiar voice of the head teacher who was leaning by the door and another teacher who appeared to be Titan's guardian. The master had a straight face. Showing no expression whatsoever while the guardian just looked apathetic as usual.

The students immediately carried their sheets and began to exit the hall with utmost orderliness.

The head master spotted Titan leaving as well and unhurriedly said, "Except you, Titan." When she said this, she still maintained a straight face. One would think that Titan had commited an offence.

When the class hall was clear with only four individuals left, the head master walked up to the board and studied what was written on it. She then turned to Titan with her brow raised as if looking for an answer.

Master Eunice immediately interjected with an annoyed tone. "I never knew this other gender came to the board just to practice writing. He was just scribbling on the board. If he had no idea what the answer was, he should have just said so. There was no..."

Master Eunice was still talking when the head master raised her hand, stopping her from soaking any further. She then turned and looked at Titan in askance,

"How did you... Where did... Where did you learn this?" The master did know how to put the question because she was surprised when she saw what was written on the board.

The head master turned to Titan's guardian who stayed still and quiet at the hall entrance, looking so distant and uninterested in the matter.

"Did you teach Titan this?" The head master was really surprised to see what was written on the board. But her expression turned grave when she saw Titan's guardian shaking her head in denial.

This guardian of Titan was a woman with few words. She barely speaks a word or sentence let alone have a conversation with anyone. She even became worse when Titan came into the picture.

The master then turned slowly to Titan.

"Would you care to tell me what is written here?"

Apparently, even the head master has no idea what the content of the written words were. All she knew was the fact the she had seen a similar one to it. In fact, she always carried the letter around.

Long ago, before she even became the head master, a letter was given to her by her guardian. She had no idea what the content was about and neither did her master know as well. All she knew was the letter was passed to her by her master. And her master also received it from her own master. Strange!

Seeing that Titan was baffled as well, she sighed, "Go. Go and rest. You still have classes later and right now, the sun is at its peck."

After saying that, Titan turned and walked away. Master Eunice was about to complain about how unruly Titan was but the head master saw it coming and also asked her to leave. Master Eunice was angered to the tip of her head and she was about to erupt like a volcano before she stormed out.

Now, in the big hall were only two people the head master and Titan's guardian. The guardian bowed to the master and exited the hall without making a sound. The master did not bother stopping her because this was something she had to figure out alone.

The head master stood still for a while in the spacious empty hall staring at the wide board. Then hesitantly took out a with paper that had turned rough out of the side of her amazonian skirt. She then faced the board again as she opened the white paper and scanned through what was written on the paper in contrast with what was on the board.

Her eyes widened and her jaw dropped. 'How could it be?' The exact same thing was written in both places. What exactly was going on? She checked every single detail in both places and realized it was the exact same thing. All the dots and crosses were exactly the same. In fact, what was worse was the fact that the handwriting was not different either. How did titan get to know about this strange letter?

Just as she was contemplating it, someone hit her neck from the back rendering her unconscious. The person squatted and whispered some words in the head master's ear as the person held the master's head and seemed to be reciting some incantations. And then in a second, green flames appeared and she was out of sight. Not only her. Along with her, she took the letter and erased what was written on the board.

But there was an obvious detail the person left behind. There was a sign of a cross hung upsidedown drawn very boldly in a flamy green color that seemed to have been engraved on the board.
