A Night Visit (1)

Jonah snorted loudly, and it was clear that even though Malcom had improved, the mistake made by him and the whole team was quite big. 

Jonah calmly raised his gaze and said, "With what right do we recriminate the mistakes of a Marked when you and I, Complete Virtues, have made mistakes like that?"

Maximo stopped and, looking at the ground, said, "I know! But don't put someone blind to guide a transporter, Jonah!" 

As he said that, he kept walking and then continued, "That only has one possible outcome." 

When he said that, he was already prepared to leave the office and to touch the handle to open the door, and then he asked, "You know he won't listen to you, don't you? You know that he will go to the Rupture, right?"

Jonah nodded. With a smile as he asked, "Wouldn't you go?"

Maximo hummed but did not agree or disagree. The Virtue just left.
