"He's Fake!"

Knowing this fact, Lai Jiayi wanted to cry again. Her chest was boiling with anger toward the hospital. 

'This hospital is so greedy to choose money over someone's life! Surely there must be many people who died because the people in the medical field were mostly like this. Scum!' 

"Dad, don't worry about anything, so please, get well soon…" Lai Jiayi pretended to agree, but she would never touch her father's savings. 

'I know that savings are to start a business. Dad collected the money for a long time. He didn't even use the money to pay our debt….' 

Lai Jiayi looked down. 

'How can I use that savings dad collected to rebuild his company…' 

"I will use the savings." Lai Jiayi lied without batting an eyelid. 

"Good, good papa don't want you to work replacing me. Study hard and reach your dream." Lai Yuwen faintly laughed as Lai Jiayi was so obedient. 

'If dad knows I already work as a cleaning service...he might never laugh.' 

Lai Jiayi clenched her teeth. 

"Yes...thank you, dad, I will surely reach my dream!" Lai Jiayi laughed as tears kept dripping from her eyes, sliding to her cheek, and finally touched the cold floor of the room. 

No one saw her crying face as one could only hear her bell-like laughter, truly sounded happy. 

'That's right. I have a dream...to be a game designer. I want to help dad's game company if one day he manages to build one.' 

Lai Jiayi hurriedly wiped her tears using her clothes as she looked at her father, who was chattering non-stop, asking her about her daily life these past few days. 

Her eyes grew hot once again, and her throat felt like something was stuck there. 

'Dad...wait for me. Three months, give me three months.' Lai Jiayi thought as she entertained her father with her made-up daily-life story. 

'I will save you, get you money to pay the debt and also build a new brand company, something you always want for a long time.' 

Lai Jiayi swore in her heart. 

"Jia'er, time is up…" Shen Jun suddenly came in right after Lai Jiayi finished talking with her father. 

Time flew fast, and 10 minutes already passed by. 

'Ah, right, I have to leave. I can't even afford to stay.' 

"O-okay...I understand I-I will say goodbye first…" Lai Jiayi's eyes were red, and there was a trace of tears on her cheeks. 

Shen Jun instantly felt pity for her, but he just sighed. 

"Go ahead, " Shen Jun said in a solemn voice as he stood behind Lai Jiayi, waiting for her to say goodbye for now. 

Lai Jiayi quickly rubbed her eyes with the back of her palm before saying in a sweet, clear voice, 

"Dad, I can't be here for long...I will revisit you when the time is right." Lai Jiayi paused. She saw her father smiled bitterly as he listened to her. 

'Dad…' 

Lai Jiayi made up her mind to bid goodbye. While gritting her teeth, she continued, "Goodbye...get well soon!" 

"Bye-bye," Lai Yuwen smiled as he waved his virtual hand before the hologram disappeared into nothingness. 

Lai Jiayi, who saw this, couldn't help but smile bitterly. 

'Father, I'll be here again, don't worry.' 

"Alright, let's go out." Shen Jun coughed faintly as he led Lai Jiayi out of the treatment room. 

'I don't have the heart to kick her out, but that's the rule here. What can I do, ah?' 

While walking toward the exit door, Lai Jiayi, who was walking a meter behind Shen Jun, softly spoke, "T-thank you for this chance…" 

Hearing Lai Jiayi 'shyly' thanked him, Shen Jun chuckled."No worries." 

'This girl is really cute. She's just shy around men as I expected.' Shen Jun thought when Lai Jiayi spoke again. 

"O-oh right, a-about the agreement...i-is there a-anything I need to do f-for now?" Lai Jiayi asked, stuttering. 

Shen Jun raised one of his eyebrows. 

'Well, for now, I don't need the fake girlfriend act, but soon, I might need it…' 

Thinking like this, the man answered without turning back his head. 

"For now, you don't need to, but when I need your act, I'll call or text you, so don't worry." Shen Jun halted his step right when he arrived in front of the blurry glass door. 

The door opened automatically with a BIP BIP sound, sending the two of them off. 

"A-alright, if that's the case...I-i will go back now." Lai Jiayi was in a hurry to go back. 

'I haven't  planned what to do tomorrow to raise my barometer!' 

"Sure, be careful on the way. I have to resume my work too." Shen Jun smiled before he escorted Lai Jiayi to the hospital entrance. 

He was like a kind and attentive boyfriend, surely would melt any woman's heart. 

Except for Lai Jiayi. 

The girl only stiffly smiled along the way to the hospital entrance, and once she finally could separate from the young doctor, she sighed in relief. 

"That guy is kinda annoying, " Lai Jiayi told Yaya as she took him out of the cap she was wearing. 

'Annoying as hell! He's fake! But he easily agreed to help me...just who is he?'
