Chapter 204: Dark Past of My Life

A quick, short investigation was completely finished after the culprit was brought to the police car. The head officer thanked Halora for her cooperation.

As soon as the cops drove back to the headquarters, Halora stood under the dark, gloomy sky. It was covered with thick, vague clouds, with out twinkling stars and shining midnight sun.

"Huh, I never thought that he managed to frighten of the thieves by wearing a terrible mask." she murmured, giggled as she crossed her arms and caressed it gently.

For a moment, she stayed and felt the cold ambiance caused by howling wind. It wasn't a new feeling for her but it kept her calm and safe.

The dark surroundings somehow brought fear to her, the deep, sinister sound that came from the black forest. The sparrows and hawks that lived at wilderness fled away so suddenly.
