Jefford was sitting quietly and deliberately put his arithmetic book in front of his face while pretending to listen to Mr. Sam.

It was an easy lesson for him, and Jeff was proud of it. That's because Jefford Dean Huxley has above-average intelligence when compared to his classmates.

Jefford glanced at his male friend. Arthur, a boy with a stocky build and black hair, his eyes narrowed slightly, and his mouth spoke without the slightest sound.

"Not now!" Arthur said in a low voice.

Jefford narrowed his eyes even more, with an increasingly furious expression on his face. His right hand began to slit his own throat, a threat he had made to his friend.

Arthur could only say "ah... OK" and even then with a thumb, he gave. 

Not long after, with a heavy heart, he raised his right-hand high. Jefford grinned happily at Arthur's decision.

"Yes, Arthur?" Mr. Sam asked because Arthur already standing.
