Yeah! Here's the new chapter!

After Luna accepted my invitation to visit and meet the dragons with me, we went to the secret passages of the castle.

We were very careful not to be seen by anyone, as the students and teachers were still awake, with many of them walking around the castle or heading towards the Great Hall, as it was almost time for dinner.

We went to a secret passage that would take us to the Hogwarts grounds near the greenhouses, and arriving at the greenhouses we started heading towards the Forbidden Forest, passing Durmstrang's ship in the black lake and Hagrid's hut.

"Hmm, why are we sneaking out of the castle?" Luna asked, seeing that I was looking around cautiously.

"Because I think the teachers wouldn't be very happy to see us entering the forbidden forest so late at night" I replied.

When I stopped for a while, I used my senses and felt that the person closest to us was more than 100 meters away, which made me relax.

"But what would the teachers do if they saw us?" she continued questioning.

"Well, I guess they'd give us a little lecture for trying to enter the forbidden forest at night," I started to respond with a finger on my chin, "But if they found out that we were doing this to see the dragons then they would give us a few weeks detention probably" I shrugged.

"Oh... Cool" Luna nodded.

And I looked at Luna with a raised eyebrow, seeing her look completely unconcerned with the possible punishments we could receive.

"Aren't you worried?" I asked.

"And why would I be worried?" she tilted her head, "We'll only get detention if we get caught."

And hearing her answer I smiled, realizing that beneath her peculiar, creative and dreamy mind was a mischievous and trouble-making girl.

"You really are like a box of surprises Luna" I said, which made her look at me confused.

We then continued to walk through the dense, dark forest in calm silence, with none of us being affected by the frightening atmosphere of the place.

And after a few more minutes of walking, Luna and I finally arrived at the makeshift camp where the dragons were.

Looking ahead I could see the wizards and witches of the reserve packing up their things to prepare to leave, and in one corner of the camp were the four dragons tending their eggs.

And I could see that unlike the first time I saw them they were completely calm, not paying much attention to the wizards around them, looking at them at times to let out a slight growl of warning.

And in addition to standing still and caring for their babies, they also looked around from time to time, narrowing their eyes and sniffing the air, as if they were looking for something.

'They're probably waiting for me' I thought with a slight smile, already excited to talk to them.

And I wasn't the only one excited, as Luna was almost shaking with anticipation and excitement as she looked at the large and fierce flying lizards.

"Now, Luna, I'm going to cast the Disillusionment Charm on both of us, and then we'll go to the dragons discreetly so as not to alert the dragon reserve wizards, okay?" I said, and she nodded, trying to concentrate on my words, but her gaze kept straying to the dragons.

And with an ironic smile on my face I pulled out my wand, casting the spell on us and making us invisible.

And now invisible, I held Luna's hand and started to take her to the corner where the dragons were.

And when I got close to them they immediately smelled my scent and my magic, which made them excited.

But before the mother dragons could say anything I pulled out my wand and started casting a barrier spell around us.

And this spell was a simple illusion spell to hide me and Luna, while at the same time diverting the attention of the wizards and witches from us, giving us privacy to be able to talk to the dragons without having to be under the Disillusionment Charm.

And finishing casting the barrier, I canceled the spell that was on me and Luna, making us visible to the dragons, who immediately raised their excited heads.

"Ethan!"

"You came!"

"Hello my human friend"

"You are finally in the presence of the mighty Hela!"

And listening to them I smiled with amusement.

"Hello to all of you too" I said in dragon language, before turning to Luna who looked at me in surprise.

"Can you speak their language?" she asked with wide eyes.

"Yes" I nodded.

"Incredible!" she said in amazement, "I've heard stories about Merlin where they said he had the ability to talk to dragons, but I didn't know you could too"

"Well, talking to dragons is just one of my many skills" I smiled mysteriously, "And besides, you didn't know why I kept this skill a secret."

"But if you were keeping this ability a secret then why did you reveal it to me?" Luna asked me, frowning slightly.

"It is not obvious? It's because I trust you completely" I replied calmly.

And my response made Luna stop in surprise, and after her surprise passed, she began to look at me with an indecipherable look.

"Ethan, who is this girl?" I heard Mereo ask me, and I turned around only to see the four dragons looking at Luna curiously.

"Oh" I blinked, before gesturing to Luna, "This is Luna, a precious friend of mine" I said in their language.

And turning to Luna I spoke in english again, "And Luna, these are Saphira, Mereo, Arya and Hela, my dragon friends" I introduced, gesturing to each dragon respectively.

And realizing that the dragons were looking at her, Luna took a step forward, approaching them without any hint of fear.

And actually she was smiling with an excited look, which surprised the dragons, since the only other person who faced them like that with an excited and friendly look, without fearing them, was me.

"Hello, I'm Luna Lovegood, and it's a pleasure to meet you ladies" she greeted them with a cheerful wave of her hand, which made me snort in amusement.

"Ahem, Luna said..." I started to translate Luna's words into the dragon language, but Saphira interrupted me.

"We understand what she said," she said, and I stopped.

"Wait, did you understand what she said?" I asked, and she nodded, making me look at her confused, "So does that mean you understand human language?"

"Clear! We are dragons, there is nothing we cannot do!" Hela proclaimed proudly as she puffed out her chest.

"But then if you understood human language, why didn't you tell me? And why did you let me speak to you only in your language this whole time?" I asked with a slight frown, "Do you know how stressful it is for my throat to keep talking in grunts and roars for so long?"

And seeing my upset look, Mereo snorted, and I could have sworn I saw Arya rolling her eyes.

"It was your fault for assuming we didn't understand your language," Mereo said.

And hearing this I felt my right eye twitch.

'Damn stinking reptile' I cursed mentally, looking at the large red dragon as I controlled my urge to go up to she and punch her scaly snout.

And Luna, who was watching our interaction, didn't understand what the dragons were saying, but that didn't stop her from laughing amusedly at my upset look.

And while I continued arguing with Mereo, Saphira approached Luna, and looking at the small girl with her face very close to hers, the blue dragon narrowed her eyes threateningly.

But Luna wasn't scared by the fierce dragon, and continued to look at her with shining eyes.

"You are beautiful" Luna murmured in amazement, reaching out her hand to touch Saphira.

And hearing Luna's praise, Saphira smiled slightly.

"I liked her" Saphira said, leaning her face on Luna's hand who had a huge smile on her face.

"Of course you liked" I snorted.

"She doesn't seem afraid of us" Arya commented, also approaching Luna.

"Well, I doubt she's afraid of anything" I said, and Luna looked at me curiously.

"What are you talking about?" she asked.

"Oh, it's just that they're impressed that you're not afraid of them" I replied gesturing to the giant creatures.

"And why would I be afraid of them? Haven't you already said that they are your friends?" she tilted her head in confusion.

"Yes," I said, shaking my head with a wry smile.

'Sometimes I forget that Luna can be very naive sometimes' I thought, looking at her as she played with Saphira and Mereo.

End.
