Yeah! Here's the new chapter!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Crouching on the ground I placed the Elder Key next to the wards, almost touching it, and then I activated it.
The Elder Key, now activated, began absorbing the wards and even the curses placed to protect the shack, and after a few minutes, which could be considered a long time, the Elder Key finished absorbing everything.
Using my Magic Vision I looked forward, no longer feeling any magic blocking my way into the shack, and now the only magic I felt was coming from inside the shack.
Nodding satisfied I took the Elder Key, looking at it and seeing its runes glowing with a dark greenish light.
'Hmm, it didn't shine like that last time' I thought confused, 'Maybe it's because of the dark magic of the curses?' I wondered.
And since I didn't know the answer and wouldn't find out so quickly I shrugged, putting the Elder Key in my pocket.
And looking around one last time to see if there was anyone around or some other ward or spell, I turned towards the shack, taking a step towards it.
Passing the line that previously stood the barriers I sighed in relief to see that nothing happened, and with that I headed towards the broken door on its hinges.
Pushing open the door carefully, I entered the shack, seeing that the interior looked worse than the outside.
The place was dark and cold, and filled with mold and moss, with many rusty utensils lying around. There were roots sticking out of the ground and branches sticking through the broken windows. The place was decrepit and run down, and it made me question whether these were necessary criteria for all Dark wizards if they wanted to hide their precious and important possessions.
'Why doesn't any dark wizard keep his treasures or black magic items somewhere clean and sunny?' I asked no one in particular, wrinkling my nose at the bothersome smells of the place.
'A note to myself. In case I become a dark wizard and want to hide something, I'll leave it in a cozy beach house surrounded by flowers and docile animals' I said to myself, nodding.
Shaking my head, I refocused on why I was here, which was the Horcrux.
As I remembered the ring was hidden under the floorboards, however that information was not necessary as I could sense where the Horcrux was from the moment I entered the shack.
Going towards the Horcrux I crouched down, still with my Magic Vision activated, seeing a great mass of magic in a single place, as if it were a strong and dense dark shadow.
Passing my hand on the floor I could feel a shiver go up my arm, causing me a slight discomfort.
But not thinking too much of it I tried looking for some gap in the floorboards, and finding none I put a little force on my hand, pressing down.
And with that little pressure I managed to crack the floorboard, and putting my hand through the cracks I pulled the wood out of the floor effortlessly.
And as soon as I ripped off the floorboards the first thing I saw was a golden box covered in dirt.
Analyzing the box and finding nothing unusual about it, I carefully picked it up.
Getting up with the box in hand, I brushed off what little dirt there was on it.
'It was easier than I expected' I thought, and immediately frowned as I resisted the urge to palm my forehead, 'I just said the forbidden words'
And knowing that I had just defied the universe I raised my other hand, placed it on top of the lid of the box, and carefully and very slowly I began to open it.
And with the box open I could see in front of me, with its beautiful details and its addictive magic, the Marvolo Gaunt's Ring, containing the so incredible and desired Resurrection Stone.
"Amazing" I muttered looking at the stone, feeling something in the back of my mind telling me to pick it up and use it.
And with my Magic Vision I could see all the magic that overflowed from the stone, which seemed to contain death itself, and ironically life too.
I could hear whispers in my ear, tempting me to bring back those I had lost.
And listening to this tempting voice I started to reach out my hand for the ring.
And the whispers continued, and little by little I could recognize the voices.
'Bring us back~'
'We miss you...'
'Come to your mom, my son...'
And as soon as I heard the last voice I stopped, with memories of my mom from the first life flooding my mind.
'Mom?' I thought, before frowning, 'But my mom didn't die'
And with that in mind a faint sound arose in the back of my mind, like a call, or a warning roar.
'Actually... Who died... It was me' I thought, with the memories of my last moments of life appearing among my memories.
'Roar!'
And with that realization I woke up from the trance, quickly moving my hand away that was less than 1 centimeter from the ring.
"Damn it" I said, frowning at the ring and the Resurrection Stone, "I almost fell for that trap"
'But was that the curse that Riddle put on the ring or was it the stone wanting another victim for Death?' I wondered, frowning.
But not wanting to think about it too much for now I let out a sigh.
I then carried the box with the ring over to a dirty table next to me and placed it on it.
I also took my suitcase that was on my chain, and placing it on the table and increasing its size I opened it in my secret compartment.
And in that secret share was a bag made of dragon skin, enchanted with many protection and magic suppression spells.
And next to that bag was a pair of dragonhide gloves.
Picking up the gloves and putting them on I looked at the ring in the box, and carefully picked it up.
Dragon skin was great when it came to protection, especially against spells and curses, which is why I was able to safely pick up the ring.
And actually I had prepared the glove just for that case, and also for the other Horcruxes because I was afraid of suffering some setback like what happened when I touched the others with my bare hands.
With the ring in hand I looked right at him, glad I wasn't feeling the temptation I was feeling a few seconds ago.
But strangely the Horcrux wasn't trying to consume or manipulate me.
And after a while I realized that it wasn't because I was already immune to its effects or because I was wearing the dragonhide gloves, but because the Resurrection Stone was suppressing Riddle's soul.
Curious I focused on the Resurrection Stone, not expecting it to be suppressing the Horcrux.
After looking at the stone and using my senses on it, without suffering from its temptation, I realized that there was a special connection between me and it.
'Hmm, perhaps this connection is due to the fact that the two of us are intimately connected with life and death. It as the Resurrection Stone created by Death, and I as someone who died and was reborn'
And with that realization I began to look at the stone with more interest.
I never had a particular interest in the Deathly Hallows, but now that I realized the connection I had with one of the Hallows a new interest was awakened in me.
"Interesting" I mumbled, but then sighed, knowing that I couldn't properly and accurately analyze the stone yet because of the curse and Riddle's soul in it.
And with that I took the dragonhide bag, opening it and throwing the ring inside, and looking inside I could see the other Horcruxes I had.
The Diary, the Locket, the Diadem and now the Ring.
And that meant I had most of the Horcruxes, just missing the Cup, the Cobra that must have only recently turned into a Horcrux, and Harry himself.
"Well, I guess with that my work here is done" I said to myself, closing my suitcase after putting everything back.
After attaching my suitcase to my chain I looked around, before my gaze fell to the floor, with me seeing the pieces of broken floorboard next to a hole in the floor, which previously hid the box with the ring.
With the now empty ring box in hand I approached the hole, depositing the box in it and throwing some dirt to cover it.
Looking at the floorboard parts I waved my hand over it.
"{Reparo}" I said lightly, watching the wood mend itself.
Taking this part of the floorboard I set it into place, and nodding satisfied to my work I got to my feet, brushing the dirt from my hands.
Seeing that everything was back in place and it looked like no one had entered the shack I left, and arriving outside, away from the lines of the wards, I reactivated the Elder Key, releasing the absorbed wards and curses.
Seeing nothing wrong with the wards I started to back away from the shack, and as soon as I was far enough away I let the tension out of my shoulders.
"Mission complete" I sighed in relief.
But after that sigh I stopped to think of something.
'Since I'm already in the vicinity of Little Hangleton why don't I go near Riddles' House to confirm if Voldemort is there?' I wondered, before looking down the path I knew would lead me to the Dark Lord's current lair and hideout.
'Hmm... Well, I still have time' I shrugged.
And with that I started heading towards Riddles masion.
End.
