Yeah! Here's the new chapter!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Christmas and New Year holidays have finally arrived.
I had already written a letter to my parents telling them that we were invited to the Flamels' house, and this news surprised and excited my mother.
Like me, my mom also read the books the Flamels wrote, and joining one thing with the other, she realized that the strange red stone she had seen was actually the Philosopher's Stone.
With this new discovery of hers, she sent me a letter wanting to know what the hell I was doing in possession of such an important and amazing item, but I said I would explain it to her after I got back.
I also sent another letter to the Flamels asking them to keep it a secret from my parents about how and why I had the stone, and amazingly they agreed very easily.
But getting back to the vacation thing, I had already promised to write to my friends, and even told Lily that I would try to find her in France, as she would be taking a trip there with her family.
So that I could be carefree on this vacation, I also used a lot of my time to train or get ahead with some of my studies, and I also put a ward in the sinks in the girls' bathroom on the second floor, as a precaution.
And I obviously didn't forget to leave a few dozen pranks ready in Lockhart's office and dorm, which happened to be pretty easy to break into.

-Professor McGonagall's Office-
"Hi teacher, did you say you'd like to see me?" I said, opening her office door as soon as she told me to come in.
"Yes, I asked to see you because I'd like to talk to you about your electives," Professor McGonagall said, straightening a stack of papers that I noticed were the electives' choice forms.
"And what would you like to talk about my electives?" I asked.
"Well, I noticed you chose only two electives," she said, picking up a separate sheet of paper on the corner of the table, "Care of Magical Creatures and Ancient Runes" she read.
"Yeah, those two were the ones I picked, is there a problem?" I asked curiously.
"No, no problem, it's just... well... I thought you were going to choose more electives," she said, looking at me curiously.
"Well Professor Minnie, the other subjects that were left were Arithmancy, Muggle Studies and Divination, and between the two of us, none of them seem very cool... Maybe just Arithmancy, but I'd rather study it myself" I said with a shrug.
"Are you sure? You can still change your electives" Professor McGonagall said, looking at me uncertainly.
"Professor, and I've read the books on Muggle Studies, and I as a Muggleborn know more about the Muggle world than all the books you can find here at Hogwarts," I said, holding up a finger, "Arithmancy and Divination are on the same situation, they study fate, luck and the future"
"And let me guess, you don't believe in divination?" Professor McGonagall said.
"On the contrary, professor, I strongly believe in fate and luck, and I believe in predicting the future too, but I don't feel like studying about them, because as it is said in the studies of these subjects, destiny and the future are unchanged, and I'd rather follow a destiny I don't know with my own steps, than try to change or follow a destiny I know and end up messing it up" I said, with Professor McGonagall nodding at my words.
"Who would have thought that behind that mischievous and playful personality of yours would be a wise and mature person" Professor McGonagall said, and I smiled at her at that.
"Yes, thanks," I said, but then I looked at her with a strained smile, "And the other reason I didn't choose Divination is that I've already met Professor Trelawney."
"Oh" Professor McGonagall said, with a small, knowing smile, "I think your motives are good enough."
She then looked at one parchment in particular, and following her gaze I saw that the parchment she was looking at was a letter, and that that letter was a request to the ministry for two Time-Turners.
Looking at this letter and remembering Professor McGonagall's insistence that I choose more electives, I realized what she was up to.
'Damn, I missed the opportunity to win a Time-Turner next school year' I mentally cursed, 'Imagine the training time I'd save with an object capable of turning me back in time? Sigh... I should have realized why she called me here from the start' I thought.
Professor McGonagall saw me looking at her letter to the ministry, and she then looked at me with a strained smile.
"Well, I think you've noticed, right?" she said.
"Yes" I replied with a wry smile, "A Time-Turner would be of great help to me 'cause I'm always busy"
"Playing pranks on Professor Lockhart?"
"No evidence, no accusations" I was quick to respond, as my mother had taught me, and Professor McGonagall shrugged.
"Well, unfortunately the criteria for asking for a Time-Turner are pretty specific," she said.
"Fine, I'd probably use it to prank Lockhart more" I shrugged, and Professor McGonagall looked at me with a raised eyebrow, "What? I don't care too much about punishments, detentions or loss of points, and I know that almost or all of the teachers are enjoying and having a lot of fun with the pranks being played on Professor Lockhart."
As soon as I said that, Professor McGonagall looked away innocently.
"Yeah, but back to the point, unfortunately since you declined to do more electives I won't be able to order another Time-Turner," she said, looking at me apologetically.
"Don't worry Professor Minnie, I would probably give up as soon as Professor Trelawney predicted the first death" I said laughing.
"Heh, I wish I had that same thought as you when I was choosing my electives in my third year," Professor McGonagall said.
"Why? Did your teacher also predict the death of students?" I asked jokingly, but I saw Professor McGonagall's dark gaze, "Did he predict?" I asked uncertainly.
"No, he didn't predict who was going to die, he predicted who would be someone else's soulmate" Professor McGonagall said.
"And how can that be worse than predicting a student's death?" I asked confused.
"It's worse because he always chose a single person to be the soul mate of several students... And in my year, I was chosen" Professor McGonagall sighed wearily as she recalled her old memories, "I will never forget the massive amount of love letters and confessions I received in my third year."
As soon as she finished talking, I looked at her pityingly as I tried to hold back my laughter, which I seemed to be failing as she started to stare at me with narrowed eyes.
"Did I say something funny?" she asked.
"No, it's just that I remembered something Stephen said in the common room," I said, turning my face to the side and not looking at her.
"Uhm," she said, obviously not believing me, "I want to see you laugh when you're a little older and it's Valentine's Day."
With that sentence of hers, I started to look at Professor McGonagall strangely, but I decided it would be best if I kept quiet.
"Well, now that the matter is settled, if you'll excuse me, I still have to review your mid-year exams," Professor McGonagall said, waving her hand away as if she was warding off a dog, which caused my right eye to twitch.
I then got up from my chair and went to the door, opening it.
"You know, Professor Minnie, did any of your suitors back in high school ever try to flirt with you over a bowl of milk or some cat treats?" I asked, and not giving her a chance to answer I turned and walked quickly out of her office, narrowly missing a spell that slammed into the wall beside me.
"Why is it that every time I talk to one of these kids I feel like I'm going to have to ask Poppy for a headache potion?" Professor McGonagall said, feeling a sense of déjà vu.
She then leaned back in her chair and and looked at nothing.
"And how did that boy find out that someone has already tried to flirt with me using cat treats?" she wondered.
End.

(End AN: I was wondering if any of you, my dear readers, can recommend me some fanfics about the world of Stranger Things.
I found only one, and it is new and has few chapters.
Stranger Things is such a good show that I'd like to see the changes one can make to a fanfic about that world.)
