I quickly hailed a cab and told him the location of the nearest precinct. I can see how the driver’s eyes turned to me and I know I look pathetic now that my face is covered with my own tears.

And I suddenly think.

What if something bad happens to me? What will happen to all of you?

I immediately shook my head at the thought. I grabbed my bag and took out a medicine that I had not taken for a long time. I need them right now. Maybe they are the only ones who’ll give sympathy to me right now.

The driver must be thoughtful. I did not even realize we had arrived at the precinct.

I got out immediately and handed the driver a thousand from the window. I did not have the time to get the change and hurried inside. There were so many people scattered around. Most are civilians, people with wounds on their faces from the riots. Police officers can’t do anything because of the crowd who is pushing themselves through to get answers from them.
