Chapter 13

"Hello Beatrice ” he said in a authoritative voice.

The person sitting in front of me was none other than my father. I looked into his eye and saw a weird emotion. Relief. Did he recognize me?

I nodded and and sat opposite him.

"I'm Leonardo Regio. Father of the boys. " He said.

Isn't his whereabouts unknown? What is happening? The way he said father of the boys it had a hidden tone that he do not wish to be my father.

I nodded again.

(The conversation between Beatrice., Alex, Zach is through the earpiece throughout this chapter.)

"Your father whereabouts are still unknown according to our data." Said Alex through the earpiece.

Our data is the most precise data in the whole world. I don't know how we didn't know that he was back .

"Are you sure he is really your dad?" Asked Zach.

"Yes." I replied. "I remember him clearly."

My father cleared his throat to get my attention. I looked towards him.

"What's your name?" He asked.

Is he an idiot . He just said my name!

"Beatrice." I replied.

"Beatrice………? "He asked again.

"Just Beatrice". I replied.

After few seconds he asked

" Why are you here?"

This question made everyone look towards him in astonishment.

Why would he ask me such question ?.

He was staring at me intensely waiting for my answer.

"Your boys brought me." I replied.

My answer made everyone to look at me.

"You don't want to be here?" He asked.

All started looking at him.

"No. "I replied.

Now all of them started looking at me shocked. Even Lorenzo was shocked hearing me.

Looks like he wasn't expecting it.

No one was saying anything and I was loosing my patience so before I loose all my patience I decide to go back.

"I tired I'm going to bed. Please don't disturb me. " I said to no one in particular and went to my room.

As I went towards my closet I saw the things that I asked from Ed to decorate my room kept near it.

I took a cold bath, wore something comfortable and sat on my desk to work .

As I opened my laptop I heard a soft knock on my door.

"Come in ."I said.

The door opened to reveal Hayden and Blake.

"Just came to tell you we're leaving" said Blake. I nodded.

"About what happened downstairs... " Hayden started saying.

"It's fine . I don't care." I replied cutting him off.

"Ok then.. Good night Beatrice." Said Hayden.

"Good night" I replied softly.

Hayden went out of my room while Blake kept standing.

"You need something?"I asked

"Yes. Umm...Can I hug you?" He asked.

I didn't reply.

"Look it's fine if you don't..oh it was so stupid of me to ask.. "he started rambling..

"Yes "I replied.

Hearing me he stopped.

He came closer and gave me a short hug .

"I'll come pick you up tomorrow morning at 8. The school starts at 8:30

He said. I nodded.

He then gave me smile and went out closing the door. I locked it from inside.

I resumed what I was doing and started working on the project that I have to send Aiden tomorrow in the evening.

God! I have not even started it.

As I was doing work I kept on

thinking about the emotion that I saw in Lorenzo's eye.

Relief. He didn't recognize me . But the emotion was still in his eyes. Was he relieved that I was not the true Beatrice or what?.

Alex- You ok?

Beatrice- Yes I'm fine.

Zach- Are you sure?

Beatrice- I don't know. Look I don't wanna talk about this.

Alex- OK then. Well are you excited for tomorrow?

Beatrice- No.

Zach - You should be.

Beatrice- What do you mean? What are you guys planning?

Alex and Zach- Nothing.

Beatrice- Fine if you don't wanna tell me don't. I'm going to sleep. Good night.

Alex- Don't do this to us.

Zach- Let her sleep she has a great day tomorrow.

Beatrice- If only I could kill you guys……

Zach- Oh come on you know you love us .

Alex- Good night Beatrice.

Zach- Sleep tight love.

Even after telling me to sleep they kept on bickering. They very well knew that I could hear them. Well on the bright side it was just these two.

When there are all of us it's basically chaos.

I worked for another two hours and completed half of the project.

I usually avoid going to sleep because of my nightmares and I can work for at least two days with no sleep.

I looked at time and it was 1 am so I thought I should at least get some rest.

I closed my laptop and went to bed.

I don't know what tomorrow holds for me..

With this thought I went to sleep………
