“Thank you”- said to my bodyguard when he opened the cars door for me

When I entered the house, I was already deaf of the silence in this place. I mean, it is empty, no people around to ask me if what did I do today, or if I am tired. No one really ask me that. Dad is not here yet, because it’s still early for him to be off in his work and then CEO doesn’t see me. So yeah, I am really alone and I should be used to it by that now.

I am too tired to think or do some self studying right now. I should atleast take my mind of from the stress today. I change my clothes, and then I immediately go at our backyard to see my horse. I searched my eyes to my horse, and it is really beautiful.

“How are you my bright?”- I ask him even though I know he won’t answer me. I plyed with his hair then smiled, I really like my horse he gives me company when I felt I don’t have anyone

“Can we go for a ride now, bright? Ha? Do you want that?”- I ask him again

I immediately ride his back and hold tightly the rope that connects me from controlling him. I don’t what age I am when I started to learn on riding this horse, at first I was so scared imagine I was just a kid but then I learned to love riding it.

At first it was just a job to learn but then I found comfort on riding him.

“Where do you think your going young lady?”- I almost fall from that question; I was stunned with my father, Gosh. Since when did he arrive and watching me.

“Just. There there.”- I sad to him, I want to get down but I already love where I am sitting right now and I am ready to take a ride from my horse.

“Just when did you learn that ha? Taking your horse for a ride”- He said smirking, like challenging me or something

“Just for today Dad, I want to take my mind out the stress, also to the study it hurts my mind”- I said to him, I know he als wants me to take some rest now.

“I left work early, because I think you will get home early today since it’s first day”- He said then took his own horse and ride it

“Well, as you can see, I am indeed early today. But then, I don’t know until when I have this free time in my hand”- I said to him, I’m not sure if I am happy of that kind of reality but I am sure smiling.

Maybe just happy to have a real company who I can talk to and I know a person I could really rely on.

“And that also means that you need to be a lot more serious in your studies, so that I could hive you my company by the time is right”- Dad and I turned to see CEO Emerald staring at us so serious, she could kill someone by just that look.

“Emerald, don’t pressure her”- Dad sai to her, disagreeing for what he wants me to do

“I’m just informing her of her responsibility”- CEO really have that way to turn things around

“Well, it’s still her first day. Why can’t you give her just a day to relax, can’t you just give her a day off?”- Dad said to her, I saw CEO disagreeing the idea of that. Why can’t I have some chill time?

“Well, as long as she won’t forget her responsibilities, studies or as long as she won’t disappoint me. She could have many days off as long as she wants to, but for the mean time I couldn’t give her that”- She said with authority that we seems can’t shake

“but-----“

“Dad, it’s okay. I can handle it, don’t worry”- I said to him while siling, and then I saw CEO walking towards us. She taps my head like she usually done when she likes that response I should say

“Good”- Smiling while she said that word she offers her hand to help me getting off in my horse then our guard took his rope to bring it back to cage “Now, come with me. I prepare some snacks inside”- She said and guided me inside the house

“That’s great. Have you eaten yet sweetie?”- Dad ask me, he always know how to be the ice aroun us

We go directly to our living room; I saw at the mini table the snacks she meant. We have some sandwiches then a juice the usual juice. I ate sandwich, I really love eating egg sandwich or strawberry sandwich I mean I don’t I just love it.

“How was your first day? Was it hard?”- She ask when we were eating, I thought I have done my interview for this day and I could just eat.

“Not really, since some of it was already thought to me and some are I already read from the books you gave me”- I said to her, I look at her nodding like she was expecting it already

“Well then, that’s good that the books I give you were really helpful and it sure that you already read those. Now finish your food and we will have fun”- She said while grinning, I look confused by what she meant.

“What fun?”- I ask her

“We’ll have race Maives. I want to see if there is any improvement from the last time we have a race. I hope this time you wuld beat me. I already can’t remember the last time we had some fun”- She said to me, like we don’t really having fun, I don’t know which of our scarry activity is fun for her.

“Emerald, she’s not that familiar with this place yet. Maybe next ti---“

“No Duke, Maives can do it”- She declared it like she knew I have some kind of animal instinct or something

“Emerald, it’s too dangerous for her to have a race in this unfamiliar place. What if she gets lost or she might encounter some accident and who would help her?”- Dad hysterically said those like he is worried

“If you’re really worried, let’s just ask her.”- CEO looked at Dad really pissed; she really wants this race to happen just to prove if I have or haven’t improved. Then she looks at me waiting for my answer.

“I- It’s okay Dad, I can handle myself and I know bright won’t let me down, I trust him”- I said while I forced my smile just to show that I am not scared if anythings might happen to me.

“Great, be ready then. Be ready, I’ll just get change”- she declared and left us
