Red Blood Academy: The Lost Heiress

I already finish the house chores and did my assignments already. I rest for a bit when my phone ring. I search for my phone and find it in the study table.

"Hello. Who is this?" I answered. "We're the rescuers from Balete Drive." I heard the other line answered. I heard a commotion from the background that made me nervous. "Wha-what happened?" I asked, shakily. There are many scenarios that playing inside my mind.

"We found her bathing in blood and she have a weird bites on her body with a burnt."

"But how did it happened?" I asked. My eyes are already pooled with tears and my heart is already beating fast while my knees are shaking. The pain that I felt from this moment is unbearable.

"The police is still investigating the case so, for now all we can do is to wait for the result of autopsy and investigation."

My tears fell from my eyes and ended the call sobbing while my heart is already breaking into pieces. I sat down as I frustratedly cried because it hurts so much that I lose the only who has been there since I was born and now she left me.

I wanted to go but my body says the latter part that I shouldn't go to the location. This situation is already hard for me.

Mama give me everything that I need in this cruel world and now she's gone... forever. I have no one left in this world.

"Why?" a question that I suddenly asked out of the blue. As I pull my self together, I stood up and wipe my tears. I enter Mama's room and found an envelope in her study table.

I opened it and fish out the items inside the white envelope. It has a letter and... invitation? Why does she have an invitation?

I open the letter and read the contents inside.

Kris,

If you already have this letter, I'm sure, I am already gone in this world, but you should remember this. Mama really love you so much. Don't cry and starve yourself and if you already read this letter, I want you to transfer in another school immediately.

Right now, I can finally rest in peace because I know you are safe there than the world that you are currently. Remember that I love you, Selene no matter what.

You'll be transferring in Red Blood Academy the school that you are going to moved in. I already fixed everything so all you need to do is to pack your things and go to the school with your requirements.

There is an envelope that contains the invitation from RBA, they will give you security for your life.

I hope you understand that I'm doing these things for you.

I burst into tears and cover my mouth as I cried and sobbed. So, she already prepared this things and she didn't even told me why! Why do I have to transfer in another school? I open the envelope and read the invitation. It looks expensive but I don't care about it.

After reading the letter, I put it down to the bed and sat in the end of Mama's bed. I sighed and remember the things that is happening to me at this moment and I can't contain the sadness and pain that gives me but obeying her would be for my good. I picked up the envelope and put the letter and invitation inside.

I go back to my room and tearfully pack my things. I will be leaving the city where I grow up. I'll be missing my classmates and friends in this place. If obeying her would make her at peace then I will be leaving this place for her. When I finish packing my thing someone knocked on the door.

I peek to the door I saw a stranger that look pale and it has a crimson red eye color that made me scare because I feel that they will make a chaos inside the house. It's scary but I need to be strong at this kind of situation

I startled because they bang the door of my house. I ran inside my room and pick up my things and including the important things that left for me. I wear my necklace and make my way on the basement.

"What is happening right now? Who is those men?" when I saw a bus I immediately stop it by raising my hands and when I saw them they are faster than I thought.

What the heck!? Holy cow! They are faster than I thought but that's impossible. I wasn't relief when I saw them chasing the bus but the bus starts to maximize it's speed from the ordinary speed that it has.

"You shouldn't vomit or get dizzy. You will get caught." someone whispered to me. I turn my gaze to that person and she look pale and....

"I'm a vampire that's why I'm cold." she revealed, nonchalantly. I throw her a confuse look because I'm not saying anything or telling her a word but she just finish— "Don't be so amaze or surprise." My brows automatically raised.

I'm actually shock by her revelation but it's impossible that a vampire can walk in this earthly life. "I'm not surprise—I mean, I'm still in shock by your revelation because this is the first time that I met one." I honestly answered. I felt that all of them are looking at me.

Some of them show me their fangs and crimson red eyes. My eyes widen in shock at the same time I'm amaze with their looks and… eyes. It fascinates me to see it because it's natural.

"Aren't you in shock?" I'm scared now because the thought of this will be my last day on earth. Mama said when she died, I must not die. I cross my eyes and pray.

'If this is my last day, I want it to be memorable and I wanna say I love you and sorry to Mama.'

I heard them laugh that made me open my eyes and stared at them with unbelievable look as if I got fool by strangers. I heard their whispered, but I just heard their murmur and even a word can't heard.

My face turned red as tomato. "We're just kidding! by the way I'm Astrid." she introduce then offered her hand for shake hands. I just smiled awkwardly. "Sel." I introduce my nickname. "Nice to meet you, Sel."

"Nice to meet you too, Astrid."

I sighed and shook my head. I observed that we're entering in the forest. 'That fast?' I thought. "You should shut your mind for fudge sake! This isn't your territory!" someone shout at me from the back.

I search for the person—err! the vampire who just scold me or just trying to pick on me. I glared at the girl and just shook my head. "Don't mind that witch, she's just picking on you." I heard Astrid whispered.

As if it's avoidable. "Can you please drop me off in uhm..." I check the address that Mama gave me. "Vaulter City." I whispered. I think they can hear me.

"Noted that young miss!" I heard the driver shout. "You have the invitation?" she asked me. I nodded and show it to her. "How..." she was speechless and glance at me.

"Maybe, they just took the wrong creature." she whispered. "That's my whole name." when I pointed out my name to the letter. She looked confused but sighed in the end.

"I can accompany you in Vaulter since that's the center of the whole City." I shook my head in disagreement of her offer. "I can tour myself first to familiarize everything then I will find my way back to the academy." I said.

"I can't let you to do it on your own, it's dangerous for you."

"Don't worry. I can handle myself plus I need to buy some of my stuff."

She hold my arms. "You don't need it." my forehead creased. "Why?" I asked her. "The school dormitory has already the stuffs that all students need." she answered.

"Do they have sanitary pads?"

"Yes."

"Feminine Wash?"

"Yes."

"Foods in the refrigerator?"

"They don't have."

"Then I have a reason for me to drop off in the city."

"I have an offer—" someone cut her. "If she wants to be alone then let her be! You don't need to be polite to someone like her!" the woman dissed me. I stood up in irritation and face the girl from the back.

"What the hell is your problem with me, huh!?" she stood up and glared at me. "What the hell is my problem with you?" she scoffs. "Your mind is too loud that I can't even appreciate the nature outside this freaking bus!"

"Oh! Sorry that I disturbed your beautiful appreciation of nature but I'm an innocent human that don't know how your mind and nature's work!" I sardonically retorted.

"If I could just have killed you."

"Then kill me!"

I don't know why but my tears suddenly fell from my eyes and it's unstoppable. My mother just died today and now this girl is spicing up the pain that I'm feeling.

"Stop the pain." I heard a rusty manly voice from my back. I wiped my tears and not try not to move or think. I'm still feeling the heartache. "Stop this bullshit Elena. You've done a lot of cruel things to someone just because you didn't feel them to see or to feel!"

"Wow! The Prince has already spoken!" she clapped and laugh sarcastically. "I'm not going to do it because I already picked my ultimate target." she smirked and glared at me. "We can hear your heartbeat but your heartbeat feels different." Astrid whispered.

"Okay, okay! We're already at the Vaulter." I glance and this place is amazing. I pick up my bags and immediately run out of the bus. I don't want to argue with them anymore.

They called me but I didn't mind. I don't want them to add some more stress to me. As I sighted the whole city, it's really amazing that I came here and I'm not going to get out this fine and exquisite city out of my sight.

I took some pictures of the whole places. "Taking picture of the city was heavily prohibited in the law and they might jailed you in the dungeon." I creased my forehead.

I check who I was talking and I found Astrid and the guy who saved my ass from that girl. "By the way, thank you for saving my ass earlier." I thanked him. He smiled. "No worries by the way, I'm Victor—Victor Imperia." he offered his hands for the handshake.

My forehead creased in confusion. "Why do I have the same surname as yours?" I asked out of confusion. He looked confused too.

"What do you mean?"

"We don't know why do you have the same surname. Maybe, it's only coincidence that you have the same last name."

We nodded and he offer his help to bring me my luggage. I gladly accepts it. I just notice that the weather here is in full sun and the heat didn't heat us that much.

"You have a nice weather here." I complimented.

"We're glad that you liked it here." I heard Victor. I smiled and just continue to stroll in the city. I bought some of the cheap stuffs that might be useful for me inside the school but the two vampire are just being paranoid.

We just met but I felt comfortable with them. This is the first time. "Stop being paranoid." I chuckled. Astrid cling in my arms. "We're just worried about you just to make sure that you're safe when we go back to the academy."

"Academy? I mean she's going with us?"

"She got an invitation from the Head Directress." she showed the invitation. Wait? How can she pickpocket my bag? I search my bag and checked it. The invitation is still there but how can she do that?

"When you learned about us you will know how exact broad our existence though it's complicated when you don't have any idea about us." I looked at Victor. "You're not surprise?" I asked him.

He chuckled. "She just overreacting." I shook my head. I notice that people are stating at me like I am some kind of food to them then turn their gazes to these two and bow. I felt nervous and scared but I have to calm down.

We continue to stroll and when I felt tired I called them to just let me rest but they didn't listen to me. "How about we go back to the academy for your safety? It's almost dusk." I observe and she was right.

I nodded and Victor bent. My brows automatically frowned in confusion. "Hop in." he said. "Err! No, I'm heavy." I said and refuse. Astrid looked bored and pushed me on his back that made Victor laugh.

"There! Let's go, the gates will start to close any minute now." I bow my head down and started praying for my life. I can feel how fast they are and they're more faster from the racing cars that I saw in television. "We're here."

I looked up and saw a black gate. "That fast?" I asked them after I get off from his back. It's amazing! "Yeah, and congratulations we can't read your mind now."

"How?" they just shrug off and guide me inside the academy. When we reach the directress office. They called someone to guide me inside. "We're going to wait you here." Astrid said and smile.

"The both of you can go back to your dorms to prepare for the opening of your classes. Trust her to me, I will take care of her." the woman smiled to them. They nodded.

"See you later at the Assembly hall!" they bid me a goodbye and just vanished into thin air. "Come on, bring your things." she smiled at me. I looked inside and this isn't the office that they called it looks like a classical place that I saw in internet.

While were walking inside I asked her something that might get gain my knowledge for this whole thing.

"Are you a vampire too?

"No. I'm a witch." she chuckled.

"I bet you're not from here."

"Ahm, yes. I'm a human."

She looked at me in surprise. "Do you have an invitation?" I nodded and showed it to her. She looked at it. "Who give this to you?" she asked. "My mother." I answered.

"We're here. I'll wait you here after you talk to the directress." I thanked her. She just smiled and open the door. When I enter I knocked on the door and it automatically open. "Good Evening." I greeted before I enter.

"Good Evening Miss."

"Kharis Imperia." I introduce. Her head automatically looked up and glance at me in surprise. She smiled.

"Good Evening, Miss Imperia. Filled this paper and we need to draw a blood from your tip finger to know if where we can class you." I nodded and filled up the paper

It's only a small sheet of paper filled in and she draw a blood from my tip finger before squeeze it on the paper and put some bandages to my finger.

"Here's your key to your dorm and cash card for your expenses and necessities." she give me two card keys and a black card. "I can't take this card from you." I give back the card.

"Every student has that card and it's funded by the school." it's embarrassing but I still accept it. "Thank you." she give me a piece of paper and a book. "Read that book. That book has all of your answers related to the school." I nodded and get my things.

"Ms. Imperia. Goodluck!" she greeted me and smiled. I thanked and get out of the office. I saw the woman who guide me here she said something to make my things vanished into thin air.

I panicked. "Relax your things is already in your dorm and I drop you back to your dorm." she said something and we we're move to a place. She didn't say walk. "We're here. Ready yourself now for your first year here in the Academy."

I smiled. "Thank you!" I thanked her. "If you need anything just go to the office and we're welcome to answer all of your questions." she said. As she take her leave. She congratulate and welcome me.
