"Why didn't you just call them home?" asked Mu Chenyan to Xia Zhao. "Why did we come to the tea house?"

Xia Zhao stopped and turned to look at her, "They first want to see you. I have said that already. Only after that, they'll go to see Uncle Tian."

Mu Chenyan held his arm, "Give me a minute."

Xia Zhao was amused by her reaction and couldn't help touching her head. "Why are you so nervous?"

"I'm not nervous!" she retorted. "I'm just not used to this. I have never cared about how people look at me. I have always taught the same to Raelle and Hyson too. But now, all of a sudden, I'm a bit unsure of myself."

"But you are my confident Yan Zi," he said gently. "How can you ever be unsure of yourself? Did I fail? Where is this uncertainty coming from? This is so not like you."
