[AWUOR]
"Do you trust me?" Hawi asked again as she looked at Rukiya, waiting for her response. She wanted to make sure that Rukiya didn't feel like she was abandoning her. She couldn't ever be able to abandon Rukiya, even if she had to.
This woman right here was everything to her and she wasn't going to lose her just because a bunch of people wanted to think for them and their bond.
The hostiles may have been targeted at Rukiya, but Hawi wanted to deal with them on her own, because she hated it when the battle reached her people when she could stop it even before it started anyway.
"I—" Rukiya began, but she wasn't sure what else she could say without ruining the mood they were both in? She didn't want Hawi's hands off of her and yet at the same time, Rukiya knew she had to be rational.
She had to be realistic even in the midst of pleasure, right? Besides, she was rue Hawi would hate it if she lied about what she was feeling.
Did she trust Hawi? Of course, she did.
