150. Domain

Vegeta and Kratos appeared silently in a vast plain. The plain was dead and the earth was cracking with dead trees and poisonous gas everywhere. Bubbling acid was coming out of the earth like Lava.

"This is the civilised part of the underworld. There is a city close to here. All the undeads that have some sentience go there to live". Kratos spoke as he started walking towards a direction.

"Is the city this way?" Vegeta looked at Kratos as he followed behind and asked.

"No". Kratos said with a normal face.

"Then why are you going this way?" Vegeta asked as he looked Kratos with a puzzled expression.

"We are here to train and not on vacation". Kratos said with a slight frown on his face as he looked at Vegeta.

"Well, since got into this topic, then tell me the difference between a major God and Minor God". Vegeta thought for a moment and asked.

"The biggest difference between a Minor God and a Major God is their Domain". Kratos said and sat down to talk further. Vegeta also followed and sat opposite to him.

"A minor God that can cover a Continent can be called a low Minor God. A god that can cover a Planet is a Mid minor God and a God that can cover a Galaxy is a High Minor God". Kratos explained and looked at Vegeta.

"You just stabilised your domain. Although you are powerful but you are still just a Low Minor God. If a God opens a Domain then his power skyrockets depending on the amount of temporary power they can harness.

A God can harness power from Belief, fear, Awe or just awareness and even happenings. A God Death can harness the fear of Death from mortals. A god of Destruction can harness power from any destruction happening in his domain.

In this way, the size of your Domain affects the power level. That's why after breaking the shackles of a Mortal, everyone focuses on their Domains more than just increasing their raw combat power. You will also focus on this aspect.

For the long term benefit, a vast domain is very effective but you can also focus on your raw combat power as you grow quite fast with just physical training and combat". Kratos spoke for a while as he looked at Vegeta sitting opposite to him.

"Then how big is your domain?" Vegeta looked at Kratos with expectant eyes as he asked.

"Hmph, I don't need those fancy things. My own raw power is enough". Kratos snorted and said with some pride. He never relied on something meager as a Domain and handled the Major Gods with just his raw power alone.

Vegeta looked at Kratos dumbfounded and sighed helplessly. This guy just knew how to push his buttons. "Then how you going to help me with the domain?" Vegeta asked after thinking about it.

"If I haven't eaten pork, doesn't mean I haven't seen Pigs". Kratos threw rhetoric as he looked at Vegeta like he is an idiot.

Vegeta's face became a bit weird when he heard Kratos' words and just looked away from him. He felt like Kratos was getting more and more accustomed to Earth's culture these days. He has also started to open up a bit. He spends most of his time watching TV or just accompanying Ophis everywhere.

He even used to take her out to play in DxD world before. He still reminisced a bit of his journey in the DxD world. 2 girls that he was chasing refused to go with him and just stayed in that world to complete their goals and ambitions. He just felt a bit sad and didn't take it to heart too much.

"Where we going to start first?" Having had enough of the conversation, he stood up and asked.

"I know a way to get to the Temple of Fate in a short while". Kratos said and statted walking towards the direction they were going before.

"Is there any fighting before we arrive there?" Vegeta asked excitedly when he thought of fighting and improving his strength.

"We will be crossing some monster territories. So you can fight to your heart's content". Kratos nodded and continued walking.

Vegeta looked around the place as they walked forward. There was only endless desolation and corrosive and poisonous gasses in the underworld. Even his Divine power was getting corroded by this poison in the Underworld. He changed the nature of his Divine energy to destruction and the corrosive power stopped working.

But doing this took more energy than usually required. So he just got back to normal Divine energy and continued following behind Kratos towards the Temple of Fate.

The area of the Underworld is infinite so most of it has not even been explored yet but Gods with infinite speed like Kratos, Hermes, Helios and some Major Gods can freely travel the infiniteness here. But most of the Gods don't want to do this as it is not even that interesting. They would much rather watch the Mortals go at each other's throats and destroy each other than explore the Underworld.

They quickly made their way into Tartarus where the Temple of Fate is located. Along the way, Vegeta saw different kinds of Monsters that live on just consuming the poisonous fumes of the Underworld. They are truly inedible as Vegeta didn't want to try and eat them.

He killed one and it's blood was so poisonous that it corroded his Divine energy faster than the poisonous fumes around the place. He quickly expelled the blood from him and moved away from the place. Although the monsters aren't too strong here, their blood is more lethal than their strength.

"These things have survived here since eons past and have become accustomed to the atmosphere here. You better be careful, not all of them are this weak. Some of them are even as strong as the Major Gods". Kratos warned Vegeta with a grim expression and continued to move forward.
